ANASTASIA
“Stubborn man! He always have an annoying response to fire back at me,” I frowned, storming down the stairs with my arms crossed against my chest.
But I wasn’t mad at Diego for the way he responded, I was actually happy that we got to talk, and spoke crazily at each other.
It’s what I wanted from Alpha Lord. I just wanted us to have a silly moment like always.
I smiled, getting to the bottom of the stairs, with my gaze lifting up to the top, just to see if the Alpha was coming.
“Huh?” I uttered, noticing the empty space behind me.
He wasn’t following like I had assumed. It’s just me alone.
“I thought he was leaving his room?” I asked myself, looking confused.
“He was at the door. Or maybe he just picked my scent and came over to show he’s aware of my presence. I mean… I’ve been there for five minutes. I guess that’s why,” I told myself, feeling a bit down.
But my cheeks began to burn red when the Alpha’s image appeared in my head.
“Gosh!” I blushed harder with a smile, tracing my steps to the dining room hurriedly.
I’ve been feeling so different ever since I woke up from my nap this morning. All I’ve been thinking about was last night’s mission with the Alpha, and his effort in saving my life.
The way he swooped in to save me from Gamma Jay, with his arms around my body, shielding me from danger… The intense feeling that took over me when he went back to end the whole problem with that devilish Gamma, it’s something that I’ve felt before.
It was with Alpha Damian, when he professes love to me after we discovered we were mates then. The spark was just light, but not as strong as the one I felt with Diego yesterday.
This one was beautiful. It felt so wonderful.
In his arms, I felt like a princess being saved by her prince from danger. It’s a scene that I’ve never experienced before, maybe that’s why I feel this way for Diego.
“Shit!” I exclaimed, stepping back from the pillar in my front! I almost bumped into it due to my absentmindedness.
I wasn’t looking.
“Pull yourself together, Anna. If you get hurt, Diego will only make fun of you,” I teased myself, slapping my head.
I can’t concentrate without thinking about him. It’s like my whole world now revolves around the Alpha.
My heart beats fast whenever we’re alone or standing before each other. I’ve been noticing this feelings but took it as my body reacting to my condition
And now… I know it’s not that.
I think I have feelings for Diego. I like him.
“Here you go, my lady,” A maid said, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I didn’t even know when I sat down for breakfast.
I watched the maid serve my meal before I appreciated her work. My gaze fell on my breakfast in my front, but the appetite to eat wasn’t coming.
It felt as if I swallowed a whole bucket of butterflies and now they’re fluttering around inside my body, giving me nothing but this tingling sensation.
I placed my hand down on my tummy and muttered that confession to myself, “I like Diego.” That’s when my whole skin vibrated, making my hair rise.
I giggled at this sudden feeling in me. It made me so happy.
I never thought a day like this would come. I always felt I’d end up disliking Diego since he was fond of attacking and seeing me as a nobody, but it’s the opposite that’s taking place.
I really like that crazy wolf.
“But does he feel the same way?” That question choked me in the stomach, bringing in worry.
“He’s a strange man after all. What if he doesn’t like me back? Goodness, I don’t like where this is going,” I sighed, rubbing my face.
“Who am I kidding? Diego isn’t someone that gives a damn about this kind of stuff. He might take it as a joke if I talk about it, or worst… What if he stops talking to me just to avoid my existence?” I feared, guiding my heart.
“The last thing I want is a broken heart. It’s best I just keep it in and pretend it was never there in the first place,” I made that decision, sighing out heavily.
To eat became a problem. I couldn’t lift a spoon and put in my mouth. My stomach was filled up.
“Crap! That maid is going to regret ever making me breakfast. She might start giving me the bad eye after this,” I grumbled, about rising to my feet.
But I paused on remembering last night’s incident again. The Gamma’s words about my condition having no cure, it made me so upset and mad with the ones who put me in this state.
“Meaning I’m going to end up as a sex freak all my life? Goddess, I… I don’t want this kind of life!”
How long will I keep hiding behind doors to please myself?
Not just that… “Diego,” I mentioned his name with a heavy heart, thinking of his reaction when he finds out the truth about my condition.
“This time he’s going to see me as a freak and kick me out. He might have nightmares of a creepy horny wolf crawling into his bedroom to mate with him. Goddess, why me?!”
The anger, the hate… I felt like unleashing all these on my stepmother, step sister, and that bastard Damian, for ruining my life!
They are the cause.
It’s all their fault!
In anger, I got to my feet and stormed out of the dining.
Before I could even leave the room, I accidentally bumped into Diego who was coming.
He was quick to hold me close from falling, asking with a cunning smile, “Drunk this morning? Something really is wrong with you, Anna.”
He made fun of me, letting out a chuckle.
The sight of the Alpha took away my rage. I felt butterflies instead.
“Sorry,” I apologized, drawing out of his hold at once.
“You’re saying sorry? Hmm, why do I smell something tricky in here?” He claimed, glancing over to the table and spotting my meal.
And without asking, he just assumed something else. “Someone is protesting.”
“Protesting?” I lifted my brow, watching Diego as he walked up to the table and pointed at the untouched meal.
“Isn’t that the truth?”
“Truth? No! What are you yammering about?!” I frowned at him, walking closer to the Alpha.
He began to talk about my grumpy behavior when I walked away from his room, using that as one of his key evidence. “All you had to do was talk, but you are expecting me to do the whole work for you.”
“I don’t know what you’re saying, Diego. And besides, what am I protesting about?”
“Your request? Isn’t that what you like to squeeze out of me when you desperately want it?” He responded, sitting on one of the chair, backing the exit.
Hearing him mention that, I immediately remembered what I wanted to get from the Alpha.
But… “I thought that deal can only be made if the other party fulfills their promise?”
“And you did that, so?” He tilted his head, signaling me to have a seat in his front.
“But you didn’t get what you were looking for from the Gamma. You came back looking angry,” I said, recalling his expression from last night.
He was talking to someone on the phone after I embraced him, telling him that nothing was left of the substance.
Diego stared at me for a brief moment and said, pointing at the chair in his front again, “First of all, have a seat.”
I did as he wanted and he suddenly pulled me closer, leaving me puzzled with his action.
The seat was already close, why did he drag it this close?
“And secondly, we made a deal in which you fulfilled your end by taking me to Jay’s hideout. So, if I don’t give you a reward for that, then what kind of an Alpha Lord am I? ” He smirked.
His words bloomed my heart. I almost gave out a blush when he called himself the title I always use, but I held it back.
“Now, tell me what you want. Trust me, I’m going to give it to you,” He assured me, placing his right hand on my lap.
Nodding, I agreed to his decision, preparing my mind to share my main problem with the Alpha.
Taking in a deep breathe, I opened my mouth to speak but felt a sudden wave kicking in when Diego did something I wasn’t expecting.
He ran his hand up into my skirt, caressing my thigh!
I couldn’t question his action but stare at his hand in surprise. What’s he doing?
“I’m listening,” He said, acting like he doesn’t know his hand is at work.
“Um… I need something from you. Something concerning my… HAA!” I shrieked, feeling his hand sliding further into my skirt, heading for my center!
“What… What are you doing?” I questioned, unable to concentrate anymore.
My body was beginning to get itchy from Diego’s action. I might go nuts if I don’t stop him.
I made an attempt to drag myself back, but Diego held my chair down with the other hand, sliding his right hand up to my waist and pulling me off the seat!
In split seconds, I found myself sitting right on the Alpha’s lap, staring straight into his devious eyes.
The silence on his face, the way he gazed into my eyes like one who was searching for my soul.
This side of him made me scared, yet it aroused my body even more.
“I said I’m listening. Don’t stop,” He repeated, sliding his left hand into my skirt and reaching for my behind. Both hands grabbed my tush, squeezing it!
I couldn’t speak but stare at him. How can I say my mind when he’s acting this way?
What has gotten into his head this morning?
