DIEGO
I knew that chip would come in handy real soon.
That’s what I used in tracing Anna’s location deep into this desolated area here in Southern Dale.
Her scent went cold after Jay left the party with Anna. It looked like there was something attached to his vehicle or around his car that nullifies the smell of anyone that gets into it.
Even that plate number of his wasn’t a registered one. It was a complete fake. That will explain his tricky nature in switching cars, just to keep his enemies off track.
If not for my source who got more information about Jay from Beta Xavier, I wouldn’t have known how deep that bloody Gamma has sunk himself into the underworld.
He’s more rogue and devilish than the late Sullivan and Xavier, or even the few weaklings that I’ve killed. This Gamma dines with the devil himself.
But I’m glad that I found Anna just in time before he could harm her.
It seems she was handling most of the problems before I even showed up.
“Those crates were empty,” I recalled, setting down on a tree branch right outside the warehouse.
“Its the same crates that contains the drugs. Does that mean that animal has used up the whole substance?” I wondered, hovering my wolf eyes into the building.
My men were still shooting and bringing down the place, leaving nobody behind. But I was sure that one person wouldn’t allow himself to be taken down that easily.
“There,” I growled, spotting the Gamma making a swift escape from an opening on the roof.
Quickly, I went after him, suspecting the dog to have some substance in his possession.
“He must be trying to flee away with what is left,” I assumed, chasing Jay from a different route.
I could pick his strong scent streaming and diving deeper into the woods. He wasn’t far from me any more. I was closer than ever.
Springing out from my path and into the road where Jay was passing, I blocked the way of the Gamma, who was stunned to see me in his front.
He had nothing in his hold, proving I was wrong. But it doesn’t change the fact that he has some information that I need in achieving my goal.
Jay tried to make a quick move into the bushes and flee once again, but I didn’t give him the chance this time.
With speed, I took hold of the Gemma’s neck and forced his face right into a tree.
He pushed himself backwards and attempted to use his body in sending me to the floor. Instead, I used his own plan against him and made the bastard land hard, giving me the chance to run my fist right into that face of his.
He didn’t back down. He turned out to be a skilled fighter himself, putting on a real fight.
I soon took over this battle with a slash across Jay’s face, landing two punches to his jaw and a kick in the chest, which sent him right into a tree.
He was weak to even get back on his feet. His body began shifting back to his human form, revealing the state the Gamma was in.
“Fuck!” He sparked, unable to move his left arm and neck. Both joints had been shifted, making it hard for him to position it back in the right way if he wanted to.
Who’s going to give him all that time?
Not me.
“Where’s it?” I demanded, placing my foot right on the broken arm of the Gamma.
He lifted his gaze at me and gave out a smirk, chuckling at the question I just asked.
“Oh, Alpha Diego… How long do you plan on chasing every wolf just to satisfy your filthy ego?” He mocked, questioning my mission.
“I’ll be honest with you, man. You aren’t going to reach the top no matter how much you try.”
“That’s not the answer to my question,” I responded, stomping hard on that area and forcing a loud scream out of the Gamma’s mouth.
“YOU DAMNED BASTARD! FUCKING… ARGH!” He yelled, slamming his fist on my leg.
“I’ll repeat myself again and you better give me the answer this time, Gamma. Where are the drugs you shipped down to this pack? I know you took them all when you noticed I was coming for you. You might just be spared if you tell me were you’re hiding them.”
Jay was breathing heavily, flashing his raging eyes at me.
Instead of giving me the answer… “You are still slow, Diego,” He mocked, chuckling again.
That annoying statement he keeps on using made me angry.
“I am always a step ahead of you, but you can’t keep up no matter how hard you try.” He laughed louder, feeling so proud of himself.
“You’re already late, Alpha. I fed the last batch to a whole truck load of girls before you even arrived. Those beauties are really going to fetch me quick money with their sweet honeypot. I’ll be filthy rich, ” He bragged, showing no fear.
I glared at him as he kept on talking about the number of ladies he gave the substance to, and how he emptied it all in5 their system.
“I’ll have an army of sexy horny bitches around the world, giving pleasure to men who need nothing but a good time in bed.”
“Imbecile!” I pressed harder, making him scream again. “That drug won’t just affect the ladies but the men they sleep with!”
“And that’s the beauty of it, Diego,” He groaned, grabbing my leg again.
“Have you forgotten there’s no cure?! I bet you don’t even know who is delivering the drugs to you and the others. It’s always the same answer,” I said, using Sullivan and Xavier’s words.
The Gamma grinned, managing to move that broken neck of his.
“When the inside of a lady’s pussy is all wet and perfect to wrap around a cock no matter the size, do you think the men will give a damn if they are infected or not? Hell no, Alpha. They will only come back for more, because they know they can’t do without a juicy hole. One that will wipe away their stress and take them to a whole new level.”
“That’s why you all are sick in the brain!” I said, placing my leg down.
Jay cackled at me with his head falling back against the tree. Then he said in mockery, “That’s why you’ll never understand how our operation goes… Because we don’t want a mad dog like yourself in the underworld.”
I tightened my fist when Jay said that.
“Don’t think you can escape us after this, Diego! You have come way too far and deep into this bloody world. You have taken the lives of capons and bosses from different packs… And that’s just a sign that you will end up dead real soon. We’ll end you before you even get to the top!”
“I think I’ve heard enough from you. You are no longer useful to me.”
“You won’t get away from…”
SMASH! I silenced him once and for all with a powerful blow right to his head. That forced his broken neck to twist once again, cracking Jay’s head to the back.
He was shaking until his body went stiff, falling down to the ground with nothing left in that body.
“It’s the same with all of you,” I said, shifting back into my human form. “Always hungry for money and power, having no care about the lives involved.”
“Even if I’m going to end up perishing with you demons, I’ll make sure I take everyone of you down with me. I will leave no one behind. No one.”
I dragged the Gamma’s body back to the warehouse and dumped him with his men who were now dead.
I gave my guards an order to burn the place down, after I made sure there was nothing left behind for my enemies to use against me.
The last time I made that mistake, I regretted it big time. And I’ve learnt from that experience, making sure it doesn’t repeat again.
Leaving them behind to handle the problem, I went back to the spot where I left Anna in the care of my guards.
The moment I arrived, I found her pacing behind one of the cars, looking scared.
She didn’t even know I was back until one of my men called out to me, alerting Anna at once.
Her face filled with worry when she saw me drawing closer to her point, as I wore a top to replace the one that was ruined.
As soon as I got nearer to Anna, what she did next stunned me deeply in the heart.
She dashed into my arms and grabbed me tightly, burying herself on me as she sniveled out, expressing her deep concern for me.
My heart was beating fast at her action. She didn’t look like the tough or troublesome rat who always messed around with me. She looked… Innocent.
“Thank the Goddess you’re okay. I was worried,” She mumbled softly, resting fully on me.
Her gesture sparked my heart more, reminding me of what I heard when Jay revealed his awareness to my plan.
“Anastasia De Great. He called her that name. That surname… Where have I heard it before?” I wondered in my head, still looking at her.
.
A few hours later, Anna and I were back at the house.
She drifted to sleep on our way back and I had to carry her to her room, making sure she was tucked in properly.
All through the drive, she leaned closer to me like a child clinged to her parent, refusing to pull away.
Her behavior only increased my desperation in finding out the truth about her identity.
Maybe I was wrong.
Maybe she’s not a spy or a sneaky rat who wants to bring me down.
I need to know everything about her.
Once I went back to my room, I immediately grabbed my phone and searched for that surname in particular. It’s a name I’ve heard before and I was keen on finding out where.
Searching online, I came across a wealthy businessman from Wolf Blood pack named Raymond De Great.
Just a look at the face of this man, I remembered why that surname sounded familiar to me.
He’s a skillful and hardworking wolf with the mind of a true business guru. He doesn’t show it that much, due to his so called reputation and image.
I can remember back then, some years ago, I wanted to partner with his company in boosting the level of my business, even though I was at a higher level like him.
Raymond De Great had the courage to reject me, giving no fucking reason. And I know it’s because of those rumors those bloody Mafias kept passing around about me being the main enemy, and casting me around as a Mafia Boss.
Still, It didn’t stop other companies from joining hands with me, since they didn’t see any stain in my record.
That’s why I left Raymond.
But now that his surname has popped up again after all these years, I’m desperate to know the connection between him and Anna.
I searched for his family information and nothing came out. It felt like the old man was hiding his family’s record from the word, keeping them safe from any danger.
But that won’t stop me from making my findings.
Curious, I called my informant and sent him on a mission to Wolf Blood pack. “I need information on Anastasia De Great. Get me every details by morning.”
“Noted, Alpha,” He assured me, before I ended the call.
“Anastasia,” I muttered that name, thinking of Anna and her embrace.
She no longer appeared as a threat in my eyes, but an interest.
I felt that urge to know more about this woman and her background.
I have to.
.
That morning, I didn’t get any reply from my source.
I had to be patient, knowing he’d send it anytime before noon. He never disappoints on an errand. He’s always on time.
Opening the door to my bedroom, I was surprised to find Anna outside my room, looking all different and… Let’s say back to her stubborn ways.
She frowned at me and said, “Look, I’ve been thinking about yesterday and… Don’t mistake that hug for anything friendly or me being a good girl. No!”
She pointed directly at my face, leaving me smirking at her silliness.
“I was just checking to see if you had any injury so I’d scold you for lying. But you came back fine as promised, ” She added, crossing her arms.
What a character.
“So you woke up this morning and chose nothing but argument as your breakfast?” I questioned, teasing Anna.
She almost blushed at that question but shoved it aside, replying, ” I had to let it off my chest, that’s why.”
“I see. Now get out of my way. I have important things to do than to be around a roach like you.”
“Excuse me!” She sparked, getting mad.
She couldn’t utter another word but groaned, walking out on me with big stomps.
Her behavior planted a light smile on my face.
That’s when my informant sent in a message, saying he found details about Anna!
That message triggered my heart, forcing me back into the room to be alone.
As I opened the whole message to see what my source had sent, my heart… It came fluttering at the sight of Anna’s picture!
She looked so gorgeous!
Her face was filled with a big smile. It made her look so captivating and… “Waw,” I uttered, staring at her image.
As I slid on to the next photo, I finally got the answer I was looking for.
“Anastasia De Great, the only daughter of Raymond and Late Cynthia De Great. She’s his daughter.”
I gazed at the photo of a little Anna held by her parents.
