“Search for the Gamma’s location and give me your feedback.”
“No problem, Alpha,” My informant assured me, before I ended the call.
I sat at the backseat of my car, relaxing my head while my guard drove back to the mansion. It’s been a long night and all I needed at that point was a good night sleep.
“I don’t even remember when last I had an actual bed rest,” I groaned, rubbing my forehead.
My mind went to what went down at the lab and with the substance I lost.
“I almost had the power in my hands, but I lost it. Maybe the Gamma would have some on him, just like his friend,” I hoped, shutting my eyes to relax.
Soon, I got back to the mansion at around five in the morning. Making my way up the stairs, a maid came over to ask if I needed anything.
“Yes, by nine, I want my breakfast ready,” I instructed, rushing up the stairs without waiting for her to respond back.
I was about to rush into the corridor that led to my room but ended up stopping and thinking about Anna.
“She must have gotten her phone by now. I’ll speak to the guard by daybreak to know how it went,” I decided, unable to ignore the headache I was getting, even though I was tempted to go and check up on that girl.
I’ll still see her when I’m awake from my sleep. It’s not as if she has anywhere going.
.
At around nine, as I planned, I was out of my room and right in the dining room, eating my breakfast.
I went through my phone to see details about the Gamma sent to me by my informant. The latter wasn’t even at his own pack, just like Beta Xavier.
“Keeping secrets from your Alpha, huh?” I smirked, sliding through the pics of him on my phone.
The Gamma had the face of a cold hearted beast. The way he looked and walked with his eyes moving around, you can tell his one dangerous and observant wolf.
About three to four pictures showed him looking directly at my informant. Seems he noticed something off about him and kept glancing his way.
No wonder he sent just these few pictures. The Gamma must have suspected him, so he stopped.
Still… “He’s heading out of Red Moon to Blue Bay Pack? So, he was in Red Moon as well?” I was surprised by this information.
The trio where in Red Moon together. What were they doing there?
“I knew that Beta would come in handy. It’s a good thing I spared his life,” I said, swiping the screen again, until I got to the last picture.
In that image, the Gamma was stepping into another car, different from his. His behavior showed that he was up to something secretive, and I really wanted to find out what.
“I’ll be paying Xavier a visit soon. He has a lot of explaining to do.”
Just as I was about to keep my phone aside, an online news popped on my screen, with Alpha Sullivan’s picture on it.
It immediately got my interest, pushing me to check what it says. On opening it, I saw a pic of the Alpha’s dead body being carried out from the hotel he booked.
The hotel attendant had given their own side of the story. They couldn’t tell who I was exactly, but gave the authorities an information on the last person that booked the remaining rooms on the same floor with the Alpha.
“Well, good luck in finding the culprit, because all those details are fake,” I mocked.
From the name to payment information, everything is a fake. I don’t give my actual details out to anyhow person. Only those I trust can have my real details.
And besides, they can’t get me unless I want them to. I know how to keep myself secretive and hidden, thanks to those assholes. They are the ones who brought this side of me, and they will all get a taste of my wrath.
“I pity your widow, Sullivan. I hope she doesn’t get herself involved with your dangerous friends,” I said, looking at a video of his Luna and children crying over their loss.
Their tears didn’t move me one bit. I didn’t feel any compassion for the Alpha. It was completely empty.
Once I was done with breakfast, I made my way out of the dining room, only for a maid to walk up to me and ask, “Sir, did you order for any package?”
“Package? No, I didn’t. Why are you asking?” This felt weird. Who made an order?
“Well, there’s a delivery man outside the gate, and he told the guards he has a package to deliver to this address. So, I thought you made an order online.”
“Where’s he?” I asked, walking pass the maid to see who this delivery man was.
“He’s still outside, Alpha,” She reported, trying to keep up with my pace.
I don’t order packages. I always send my men to get whatever goods I need or I head down to the location myself!
Who could have made an order to this place? Unless one of my enemies foolishly thought they could use this old trick to get to me!
Delivery is one of the dangerous things to do, no matter how important the item might be. Your enemy can easily set a trap inside to get you when you least expect it.
The moment I stepped into the opened room leading to the entrance of my mansion, I saw Anna dashing inside my home with the big top she wore, looking a bit swollen from her stomach region.
She didn’t even look around to see who was watching. She just ran up the stairs with speed and disappeared.
“Why was she out there?” I asked, carefully making my way out of the mansion.
That’s when I saw a delivery van driving away from the premises. Seems the guards attended to him already.
I signaled one of my men over and he came to share the report about the delivery man the maid spoke about. “He came to deliver a package to the Lady,” He said, referring to Anna.
“That girl!” I growled, turning around to look at the stairs. That means she was hiding the package in her top!
“I don’t know what’s inside. She came before we could get the man to open it. She said something about privacy.”
“Privacy huh?” I hummed, suspecting her even more.
That’s why she asked for a phone. She must be working on something secretive and decided to get it in my absence. I bet she doesn’t know that I’m around.
I dismissed the maid and sent for the guard I placed in charge of Anna’s outing yesterday. “Tell him to meet me in my room.”
“Yes, Alpha.”
Quickly, I hurried back into my bedroom and took out my system to spy on Anna. Every room has a surveillance camera, including hers. I’ve not been checking on it due to my work, but now, I’m going to start using it because of that sneaky rat.
“What are you hiding from me?” I scrolled to her room camera and was stunned to see it was all black. “Why is it dark? Is the camera not working?” I asked, checking.
The lights are red. It means the Surveillance camera is still active. So, what is covering the lens?
“You smart ass. Don’t tell me you spotted the camera?” I groaned, shutting my system out of anger.
The guard showed up as instructed and I questioned him about the phone. “Did the retailer carry out the work as I explained?”
“Half of it.”
“What do you mean by half of it? ” My brow narrowed down at his words, having a bad feeling about this information.
“Well… He couldn’t put a card into it because Miss Anna refused him. But he succeeded in adding a little magnetic chip to the phone to monitor her movement and search histories,” He shared, giving me hope.
I must compliment her thinking. She’s quite an intelligent girl. She must have felt unsafe with a sim card and decided to go WiFi mode. But she’s still not as smart as me.
“That will do, ” I said, opening my system to connect with the chip.
The guard gave me the code number, in which I inputed into my system and… “Error?” I gazed at my screen which showed me the word Error, boldly.
“Why is it saying Error?! Are you sure the chip was placed properly in the phone?!” I questioned strongly, trying the code once again. Still, it kept bringing out the word Error!
My guard assured me that the salesman placed the chip at the right spot in the phone.
I know the retailers at that store don’t disappoint in things like this. It’s not the first time I’m getting a phone chipped!
Unless… “Shit! That bitch took it out,” I groaned, running my hands from my head down to my face.
“She must have seen and taken it out herself. Damn that girl!” I sparked, tossing my laptop aside in rage.
Looks like she’s way smarter than I thought. She’s a clever brat!
“Crap! How am I going to know what’s in that package?!” I pondered, getting restless.
“Seems I’ll have to pay her a visit then,” I decided, getting off the bed and exiting the room with my guard.
Anna looks so innocent and dumb from the outside, but in the inside… She’s a crafty genius.
I need to know who she really is and who she’s actually working with.
All that tale about escaping an arranged marriage with an old man, I doubt it’s even real. She’s hiding something and I’m going to find out what it is.
