ALESSIA’S POV
Waking up, my head was throbbing so hard and my eyes was almost blinded by the bright light inside the room I was in.
I blinked rapidly for few seconds, trying to register in my brain where I was currently.
The room was painted in white and it smelled so much like an hospital.
Oh, I was in an hospital?
” You’re awake! Alessia, can you remember me?” A loud voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I turned to my left side only to see Aunty Lucy beside me with tears in her eyes.
How did she know that I was shot and I was currently in the hospital?
Shit! CeCe that blabbermouth!
I forced a smile, as I tried to sit upright.
” No, no! Don’t!” She stopped me from sitting upright.
I looked around and saw my cousins, Elisa and Emma seated, their eyes on their phones.
I was looking for Cassius, but he was nowhere to be found.
Before I lost consciousness, I held onto him, hoping he won’t leave me, but he did.
After finding out from Cassius that the man who came to my room was his twin brother, Russius, I wanted to protect myself and our child, but I wasn’t strong enough.
He captured me against my will and tied my hands behind my mouth and even went ahead to gag my mouth.
” Who are you looking for?” Aunt Lucy asked, when she saw me searching for Cassius with my eyes.
” Where is Cassius?” I asked.
” Who? The guy who came to your uncle’s birthday party? Is he your fiance?” I was bombarded with different questions.
” Yes.” I answered, all at once.
” He is outside the ward.” She replied.
” I need to see him now.” I began to take off the drips from hands, and despite the shooting pain from where I was shot, I didn’t care.
I needed to see Cassius or I might lose my mind.
” Don’t! I will call him for you!” Aunt Lucy yelled, but I didn’t reply.
” Can’t you just remain still? We will call him for you, so stop making everyone worry.” Emma said, glaring at me.
I stopped trying to take the drip off me, as they both left the ward to get Cassius for me.
” They love you, Alessia. They are not just good at expressing.” Aunt Lucy assured and I smiled.
Two minutes….
Three minutes….
I was getting impatient already.
Why was it taking them so long to bring him to me?
Did he leave the hospital remise?
Soon, the girls returned, but Cassius wasn’t with them.
All my hope crumbled.
” He is nowhere to be found.” They muttered and I bit the walls of my mouth.
He left already.
I was still sucking when the door pushed opened.
With expectations in my eyes, my head snapped towards the door, but it immediately fell in disappointment when CeCe, Dragon and one other person walked in.
” Someone is expecting her man already.” CeCe teased and I smiled.
She always had a way of lifting my spirits.
” Don’t worry, he would be here soon. He had to prepare a surprise for his woman.”
” A surprise?” I asked but Dragon nudged at CeCe to keep quiet.
” Why are you shutting her up?” I turned to CeCe. ” What surprise?”
” I’m sorry, bestie, but I can’t say it.” She grinned and I hissed.
” Now that you’re okay, I can now sleep in peace.” Aunt Lucy said and reached out for her bag. ” We will take our leave now. I will be back when it’s time for you to give birth.”
She winked at me and I glared at CeCe immediately.
” Sorry.” She mouthed.
” Okay, Aunt thanks for coming.” I smiled and faced my cousins. ” Thank you girls.”
” We need nothing. Mom dragged us here.” Elisa said and they walked closer towards me.
” We are sorry for all the mean things we said to you at the party.”
I smiled.
” It’s fine. You both are already forgiven.” I replied.
” Okay dear, take care of her, CeCe.” Aunt Lucy said but CeCe rolled her eyes.
” I already have my own man, Cassius should take care of his woman not me.” She moved closer to Dragon and pecked his lips.
” Someone is already in love!” I gushed.
” Yes, of course!” She laughed.
Aunt Lucy and the girls left, and I was left with Dragon, CeCe and the other person.
” I have never seen your…..” I stopped and looked closely at the third person.
That was when I remembered that he is Cassius’s younger brother, Banks.
” Are you Banks? Cassius’ younger brother?” I asked and he nodded.
” Yes. Thank God you’re alive. My brother almost ran crazy.” Banks replied and a slowly smile found it way to my lips.
” What…what happened to his twin brother?” I asked slowly and silence descend for few seconds before Banks spoke up.
” He died. Cassius killed him for you.” He replied. ” But it’s all good though. If he didn’t kill him, Russius would have killed you.” Banks said and smiled.
” You don’t have to feel guilty.”
CeCe suddenly winked and Banks and Dragon and they all nodded.
I had no idea what they were up to, but something smelled fishy in the air.
” What are you three up to?” I narrowed.
” We will be leaving now, see ya.”
” You came in few minutes ago!” I yelled. ” Why are you all leaving now?”
” I need to spend quality time with my man.” CeCe winked and held Dragon’s hand.
” Me too. My girlfriend already sent me a message. She’s already missing me.” Banks said and walked out of the ward, same with CeCe and Dragon.
Once they were gone, I heaved a sigh and fell on the bed, turning my back to the door.
After about an hour, the door pushed open, but I didn’t turn to look at who it was.
I had no interest.
Suddenly I heard the sound of balloon and confetti in the air.
I slowly sat upright, only to see Cassius on his knees with a diamond ring in a box, while Aunt Lucy, the girls, CeCe, Dragon and Banks were behind him.
So they all planned to surprise me.
My heart almost exploded like a bomb.
” I know I have not been the best boyfriend, best man to you, but I promised to make it up to you and our baby. I will never leave you for a second, we will fuck each other until they kingdom come.” Cassius started and I was already moved to tears.
” I will give the world to you, Alessia. We will both sit on top of the world, while watching it burn with our kids. I will lay down my life for you and our unborn baby. So will you MARRY ME?”
I nodded with tears leaving my eyes like rain.
” Yes, fuck! Yes! I will marry you, Cassius!”
I was beyond excited as I watch him insert the ring into my forth finger.
He rose from his knee and pulled me into a bone crushing hug. ” I will fuck you until you lose your legs. Just wait until we leave this hospital.”
My cheeks flushed at his sexy words.
” Awwwn, someone is getting married soon! I will become a godmother!” CeCe laughed, tears leaving her eyes. ” I’m so happy for you, Alessia. You deserve the best.”
” Thank you, bestie!”
The tears were overflowing.
They refused to stop coming.
After the bone-crushing hug, Cassius leaned and captured my lips into his.
I felt revived again. I felt alive again.
Every dead bone inside of me rose to life.
