ALESSIA’S POV
My throat bobbed as fear coursed through my body, my eyes still on the expressway, staring deep into his dark eyes.
Nathaniel reached out to touch me, but I leaned back, avoiding his touch.
Not because I didn’t want him to hold me, but because I was afraid of the devil who stood in the dark, watching me with a deadly gaze.
” Are you okay, Alessia? You’re sweating.” Nathaniel asked, worry etched on his face.
” Ye…. yes…I’m fine.” I bobbed my head and swiped my tongue over my already dried lips.
” CeCe, take me home.” I mumbled, looking at CeCe who stopped eating with a frown on her face.
” Why? You’ve not touched your food.”
” I’m not hungry. I just want to go home.” I stood up, grabbed my bag ready to leave, but Nathaniel also stood up and held my hand, stopping me from leaving.
” Are you uncomfortable because of me?” He asked, staring deep into my eyes and I bit my lips. ” I can leave if you want.”
” No.. no. Nathaniel. I’m not uncomfortable because of you. I’m just feeling a bit under the weather. I’m sorry. We can talk later.”
I forced my wrist out of his hold and walked out of the restaurant, with CeCe running behind me.
” Hey, Alessia! Are you okay?” She asked once she caught up with me.
” Yes, I’m fine.” I swallowed, adding more pace to my walking step.
That was a big lie. I wasn’t okay, , I was trying my best not to run crazy at this rate.
He was everywhere. Around me, in my house, and every single place I go to.
” You’re not fine, Alessia. Tell me what is going on with you.” CeCe reached out to hold my hand, stopping me from leaving.
” I said I’m fine!” I half-yelles, my eyes red with anger.
It wasn’t directed at CeCe. It was directed at the devil looming around my life.
” I…I’m sorry.” I exhaled slowly, looking at her with the i-am-sorry look.
” It’s fine. I will give you the space you need.” She muttered and let go of my wrist.
” Get into the car, I will drive you home.” She offered, but I shook my head with a sigh.
” No, it’s late. I will go home by myself.” I declined.
” I’m not angry at you. I just need to take you home. You’re a lady and it’s dangerous to walk alone at night.”
I reached out to hold CeCe’s hand, my eyes fixed on hers.
” I will be fine, okay, just go home and take a rest. We will meet in the hospital tomorrow.” I flashed her a short smile.
” Okay then. If you insist.”
She drove off afterwards and I inhaled sharply.
Looking back at the expressway, it was empty and filled with darkness, which meant that Cassius was gone.
Relief washed over me, and I made my way to the train station.
I wanted to hop on a train because I needed to breathe.
…
The train stopped at a train station and I detrained as I walked the remaining way home.
The road was lonely and dark illuminated by the neon street lights all the way down to the place I stay.
My mind was foggy and I was lost deep in my thoughts, but I felt a little uncomfortable, as I felt a shadow behind me.
My heart slumped to the bottom of my stomach as I increased my pace
My senses heightened and I grabbed my cross bag firmly, hoping I could reach my apartment as soon as possible and lock myself in.
I didn’t know who was behind me, and I didn’t mind, because my mind was already a mess, and all I wanted was to reach my apartment as quickly as I could.
I increased my pace and so did the shadow behind me dressed in an all black, as I pictured him from the corners of my eyes.
I grabbed my phone, my hands quivering as I tried to call the first person on my contact list, which happened to be Nathaniel.
He had called earlier that afternoon so we could have dinner.
I thought against the idea. It was already dark and I didn’t want to disturb him with my troubles, not after the scene I had created a while ago.
My breathing became shallow and my heart beat even faster.
I ran the tip of my tongue over my dried lips and tried to get my senses together.
‘ What do I do?’ I asked inwardly, quickening my steps.
Without thinking twice, I picked up my pace into a run, and it felt like the road to my apartment became even longer than it usually was.
God so good, I finally got to my apartment.
I didn’t waste even a single second before punching my pin, opened the door and shut it quickly.
I rested at the back of the door, breathing hard, as my legs gave out and I fell to the ground.
From the look of things, it seemed as if my stalker was a man. But why didn’t he chase me?
I knew for a fact that he could run after me and get me within a few steps, but he didn’t run after me, why was that?
” Stop thinking about that!” I scolded myself and stood up from the cold floor.
After thirty minutes, I was done bathing and ready for bed.
After taking a cold shower, I was able to calm my racing heart and the dread I felt about the stalker from earlier.
My phone buzzed on the bed and I walked towards it.
A message popped on the screen of my phone, causing a frown to watch on my face.
” Why were you running like a cute little rabbit, earlier?”
My mouth opened widely, but no words came out.
It turned out that Cassius was the stalker, no wonder he didn’t chase after me.
He didn’t mean any harm, and also didn’t try to approach me.
I felt a flutter in my heart, but I was fast enough to shove it away.
The fact that he stalked me until I got home safely, doesn’t stop the fact that he was a dangerous man, a man that could end and recreate my life within a few minutes, if he wished.
” Don’t ignore my message, Bunny.”
Another message popped on my screen, but I still didn’t reply.
” I won’t go easy on you once I get hold of your cunt.”
I felt my clit throbbed with wetness at his message, and I bit my lips, almost drawing out blood.
That devil knew how to make me wet with his words.
‘ Stay away from me, Bastard! I don’t want to have anything to do with you again!’
I typed and sent the message to him.
That was another lie again.
I didn’t want him to stay away, but I couldn’t help it.
He scares the fuck out of me, and at the sight of him, I tremble in fear.
” But I bet your little pussy and those pink peaches of yours say otherwise.”
Another message from him pooped on my screen, and almost immediately after reading it, my nipples hardened.
Fuck!
I was doomed!
I have no idea how he crawled his way into my life, but he was sure never to leave!
