POV: Victoria
“Move away from here; she has a bomb; she is going to kill us all!” I yelled in Carl’s direction as I saw him approaching us slowly, thinking that my Mom was not seeing him.
Of course, she is seeing him through the device in her hand; she knew the moment they took off the power grid that they were here. She came up to us and smiled excitedly, clapping her hands as if it were the happiest day of her life.
“The guys are here to save you. Your Prince Charming has arrived, and they came prepared to save you. Are you not excited?” She asked us, smiling so happily. I turned to Claire in fear, and she had the same look of fear on her face, too.
“Let them go, Mom; they don’t have to die because of us,” I begged her.
“Of course, they do. Why the hell would you ever think that they deserve to live, why would you think that?” she asked me angrily.
“I have been waiting for them for so long, they are the reason why we are still here. Of course, they would get what they deserve; they will get exactly what they deserve. I have everything under control; I have made plans to make them feel welcomed and loved. Is that not what you wanted? Was it, not your wish for your boyfriends to come and save you?
Well, there they are, your Prince charming here to save their damsel in distress. Here they come to save the day!” she laughed, sounding so playful and excited. She has a device she is holding that she uses to monitor their movement. She knew the moment they broke into the building and she said,
“Look what the cat dragged in,” she called out to them through her walkie-talkie she was holding while watching their heat signature from the device she was holding. I’m not sure how she is still able to use that device despite the power
“EMPs huh?
Clever guys!
So cleaver!
I have been expecting you, and now that you are here, I’m so disappointed that you didn’t just send missiles to blow up everyone like I wanted. What would it take to get some fireworks on this freaking island that you exiled me to?” She let out excitedly, tapping into the device on her phone as she spoke.
“What are you doing?
What are you doing, Mom? What are you planning?” I yelled at her, trying to find out what she was planning to do to them. She turned to me and put her hand on her lips, signaling for me to shut up. But I didn’t listen to her, I yelled at the top of my voice, telling the guys to run,
“Get out of here!
Don’t listen to her, she is lying. She knows about your plans, she is going to kill us all. Get out of here, she wants to kill us all!” I yelled nonstop, trying to get them to stop. But Eloise sent her right-hand man, Allen, to cover my mouth with his hand while she danced around excitedly, enjoying the game she was playing with them.
“Now that you have disabled my security system, what next?
Are you going to shoot your way into my house, do you think you can get to me before I kill the girls?” she asked them, chuckling at her own questions.
“Mom please, don’t do it. Please, Mom, don’t lure them in, send them away, don’t hurt them, please don’t do this. I will stay with you, I will be your daughter, I will do anything, just let them go, please.” I begged her, earning her laughter.
“Give up now before you get yourself killed, Eloise. This is your last chance!” Raphael told her over the speakers. I heard his voice and my heart broke into a million pieces. I don’t care why I was angry with him, I just can’t remain angry with him when all he has done is look out for me and care for me.
I heard his voice and my heart broke over and over again. I miss him so much, I can’t bear it if something happens to him because of me. She saw me crying and she made it louder for me to hear his voice, trying to hurt me even more. I heard him trying to convince Mom to let us go and save her life as well. It hurts to see that he still cares about her, despite her wickedness. If only she could see our hearts and realize that we still care about her; we don’t want her dead.
“You think they will forgive me after seeing my aggressive side?
You think I can change their hearts with apologies and nice words?” she asked him, laughing even harder.
“Yes Mom, we will forgive you because we love you. I have already forgiven you, I can see that you are good at heart. I know why you did this, I know why you are trying so hard to keep us by your side. You love us and you want us by your side, Mom. I totally understand you. It’s never too late, Mom; we can get past this; we can move past this terrible mistake and get our lives back together.
We can still be a happy family, you, me, and Claire, just like you want it. I promise to stand by you and make sure the Myers does not come after you. I will make them understand that you are my mother too. You will be a part of our lives forever, the Myers will never sue, I promise.” I told her honestly. I’m even calling them the Myers and not my family so she can see that I have not developed a bond with them yet. I keep referring to her as Mom so she can see that I still love and care about her. But she is not ready to listen to me, she doesn’t want to believe anything I have to say. She looked me straight in the eyes as she responded to him, saying,
“No Raphael, I don’t owe those kids or anyone an apology. I’m going down today, and I’m taking them with me, Raphael Hawkins. That is a promise!” she told him firmly, sounding so crazy. Her confidence is the bomb she planted around this building. I’m not sure if she has another plan I don’t know about, but I think that bomb is her end game. She wants to blow up the house with everyone in it. That’s why she is luring them into the building.
“Don’t do this, Eloise, please think carefully and make the right decision, don’t do this, please.” Raphael still begged her, making her chuckle one more time.
“It’s a done deal, Raphael Hawkins. And this time, it’s my turn to advise you. Leave now or you’ll never make it out of here alive.” She told him furiously, sounding serious this time. She turned off her walkie-talkie after giving him that advice, and she threw it to the sides, throwing it away as if it were the bomb itself.
“Wait, boss, that’s the trigger to the bomb; what if they get to it?” Allen asked her, sounding confused.
“As long as they don’t get to it in the next ten minutes, it’s going to take them out. Just get us out of here right now.” She told him, sounding serious and urgent.
“Mom, please, don’t let them die, don’t kill us, please. You can survive this, it’s not too late. Stop this madness now, this is your only chance!” Claire begged her, crying sadly as she struggled to move her body to no avail.
“Yes my beautiful daughter, it’s not too late for me to get out of here alive. But I doubt if you will get out of here alive, I doubt you’ll make it through the day even. In the next few minutes, you’ll all go caboose, and I will be safely out of here. I will get two more daughters, and this time, I’m not leaving any loose ends.” She told us, smiling excitedly.
“It’s ready; we have to leave now; they are breaking through our defense, and they will soon get to us. They sent some guys through the roof, they’ll be here soon. Let’s go now, we can pick up the two babies on our way back to town.” Allen told her, urging her to hurry. She smiled as she placed kisses on our chicks and left us on the bed, laughing excitedly.
“Don’t worry, gills, you’ll get to reunite with your real family in hell!” she told us happily, clapping and dancing as she waltzed out of the building. I’m guessing she has a helicopter ride waiting for her already. It wasn’t two minutes after she left and Carl came rushing into the room with a few guys, breaking in as if they were criminals.
“She had a bomb and we tried to beg her to drop it, but she wouldn’t drop it. She wants us dead; she is going to kill us; leave now; save yourself!” I begged him as I struggled to get up from the bed, trying desperately to reach the trigger that she had thrown to the floor.
“We can’t leave, we are here to save you two. Where is she, where is Eloise!” Carl yelled out furiously, turning around desperately as he tried to search for her.
“She left already, but she left the trigger to the bomb, that it over there, we need to get it, we need to…” as I showed him the trigger, he tried to reach for it, but one of the guys with him signaled him, telling him to stop. They stopped talking and used signs to speak to each other. Then Carl started saying things I don’t understand,
“Where the hell is that bitch, Eloise, where did she go?
I’ll kill her I’ll fucking kill her!
She won’t get away with this, I won’t let her get away with it, I’ll fucking kill her!” he kept ranting like a fool. As he yelled and ranted non-stop, he signaled his boys to pick us up and take us away, using his hands to signal them to hurry and leave fast.
“The trigger, pick up the trigger!
There is a bomb, it’ll go off right now!” I yelled at them, but they ignored me and just picked us up and left the room, trying to be fast and, at the same time, trying not to trigger the motion sensors.
“Retreat boss, there is a bomb in the house, the whole building is rigged to blow off!” Carl yelled at his boss, Raphael, after we left the building safely. The moment he said that the whole building exploded in our faces, throwing everyone in different directions.
