Chapter 36

Book:Billionaire's Contracted & Unloved Wife Published:2025-2-9

Ariel wasted no time biting Aiden’s lip, pushing him away from her.
“From now on, don’t ever try to kiss me again, Mr. Chaz. It was never included in the contract, and even it if were, I’d still not kiss you, Mr. Chaz, we’re just not meant for each other, please, refrain from making such advances towards me,” Ariel wiped her lips with the back of her hand, glaring at Aiden.
Aiden was shocked; he had the lip Ariel had between his lips, staring at her as if it was the first time he was seeing her.
She seemed to have changed since Moon’s arrival, and her attitude seemed to get harsher since they left the fair. But the problem was, he wanted her more, her rejections made him want to conquer her more.
But at that moment, he was speechless; he didn’t know how to argue back with her; she did speak the truth, and he didn’t want Gregory, or anybody at all, thinking that he was the one who was going after her after making the rules.
“Um, Boss, we’ve arrived,” Gregory quietly sighed in relief as he announced to them.
He was already feeling very awkward watching them from his seat.
It wasn’t his place to say, but if he was given the opportunity, he’d politely let his boss know that he was starting to show signs of a man in love. But he might be wrong; his boss was the mastermind; maybe this was just one of his ways of making his wife uncomfortable, but kissing?
Well, it was really none of his business.
Ariel looked out the window and immediately recognized the place; it was Chaz’s hospital, and she suddenly remembered why he must have brought her there.
‘Good then, the faster, the better indeed,’ She thought and opened the car before Gregory could.
She could still remember her way around so she quickly headed in, not waiting for Aiden. This time around, she was serious about maintaining her distance.
She quickly walked into the elevator and closed it before Aiden could reach her, feeling satisfied with her success in escaping him.
Aiden stood in front of the elevator, smirking, he scoffed and waited for her to get off.
As he entered the elevator, he was impatient; he wanted to see her reaction when he told her their purpose of coming there. She had probably forgotten.
He walked out of the lift and headed straight for Carla’s office.
“Good morning, Mr. Chaz,” A male doctor greeted as he walked by with a file in hand.
The floor was a little busier than the last time he had come here, nurses and doctors seemed to be walking around, attending to something.
He gave the male doctor a polite nod and proceeded to enter Carla’s office.
“So, what’s do you think about Ken, a gentle man, right?” Aiden heard Carla ask Ariel as he entered the office.
He frowned, slowly walking over to sit beside Ariel.
“Oh, good morning, boss,” Carla greeted with a smile.
Aiden ignored her and turned his face to Ariel. “She asked you a question, little wife. What do you think about Ken?” His tone was sarcastic.
Arile clenched her fists, even though she had wanted to let the topic slide, but now that Aiden had asked, she was going to give him the answer he wanted to hear.
She looked up at him with a sweet smile, “Oh, Ken? He’s such a darling, a gentle man, and a man any woman would want as a lifetime partner… me too,” She flashed him another dashing smile, but there was a glint of mischief behind her smile.
Aiden gritted his teeth, “You really want to run off to him after you’re done with me, right?” He questioned seriously, his eyes pinning her down.
Ariel nodded without hesitation, “Yes, Mr. Chaz. Now, can we get our business here done, I have other things I want to do with my time,” Ariel turned to Carla, smiling.
Carla had a smile on her face as she stared at the couple in front of her, she saw a huge difference in them from the last time they visited, but they were still unaware of it.
They had gotten more relaxed in each other’s company, almost like friends, but the bickering kind of friends, and she could sense some chemistry between them, and she knew without asking that the couple might have tried a certain kind of play between them.
“Alright, Ariel, I’ll keep that in mind, and I’ll keep encouraging my cousin, I see that he has a chance with you,” Carla was trying hard to hold back the evil smirk she wanted send to Aiden.
Aiden gritted his teeth and cleared his throat, “Carla, about what we discussed, we’ve reached an agreement, she needs to conceive before the end of the month,” He turned to see Ariel’s reaction but he was disappointed to see the uncaring look on her face.
Ariel nodded at Carla, “Yes, Carla, that’s what we’ve agreed on, can we do the procedure right away?” Ariel added calmly.
Aiden was still looking at her, she has really changed, she no longer tried to argue or beg him about anything, she almost seemed nonchalant about whatever he did.
Carla sighed, shaking her head.
She looked from Aiden to Ariel, them back at Aiden. “Boss, did you say you need her to he pregnant before the end of the month?” She asked, picking up her phone and checking for the day’s date.
“Yes,”
“Yes,”
Aiden and Ariel replied at once, causing them to look at each other briefly. Ariel was the first to remove her face and look back at Carla.
“Isn’t it possible?” She asked.
“Is there a problem, Carla?” Aiden frowned.
Carla sighed, she turned her phone to Aiden and pointed to the date display.
Aiden furrowed his brows, “Yeah, so?”
“Well, today is third of September, boss, and if you want to get her pregnant within the remaining days of the month through an IVF, then, I’m sorry to tell you that it can’t be possible,” Carla slowly shook her head.
Ariel was confused, she was staring to think that Carla didn’t want to help them because she didn’t want her to have a baby with Aiden because of Ken.
“Why do say so?” Aiden sat up, placing his elbows on top of Carla’s table.
“Well, before I give my professional recommendation, I’d like to ask if there’s any specific reason you want her to concieve so speedily?” Carla raised a brow at Aiden.
Ariel scoffed abd spoke up before Aiden could speak. “He already told his grandma that we’re expecting, and the poor lady is expecting to see pregnancy signs, which of course, won’t be seen, because I’m not,” Ariel explained.
“Wow,” Carla was looking at Aiden with a narrowed eyes. “So, you’re literally running against time huh?” Carla chuckled softly.
“Carla!” Aiden stepped his hand on top of Carla’s desk, glaring coldy at her.
Carla startled, moving back from him.
“Whatever the reason is, it’s none of your business, what you should do, is your job, do you understand?” He asked menacingly.
Carla sighed, once again, she’s overstepped her boundary.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Chaz, I was just trying to understand your situations better,” She apologized.
“Just let us know the next step to our procedure, Carla,” He sat back on the chair, rubbing a hand over his face.
Ariel was looking over at him with a slight frown, did he have to be such a tyrant? She hated him, not just because it was Aiden, but she hated anyone who didn’t find it important to respect people, money wasn’t everything, well… to some extent. But she believed in treating people right, and Aiden was lacking in that aspect, he treated people however he wanted, he didn’t care about who you were or your status.
She couldn’t believe she once looked up to such a jerk as her idol, she must have been blind, but she didn’t know him intimately as she did now, so she could be pardoned for her stupid infatuation.
Carla cleared her throat and slowly flipped her pen between her fingers.
“There won’t be any procedure, Mr. Chaz,” She informed, her professional mask worn.
Aiden and Ariel unconsciously exchanged a confused look.
“What do you mean?” He questioned, looking a little concerned.
“What I’m trying to say is that, the number of days remaining won’t be enough for the procedure, it entails running a series if tests on you both, placing her on some medications and some screening too, so, before the whole check-up is done, two months must have gone, that’s why the IVF method doesn’t seem like the best method for you both,” Carla narrated.
Ariel formed her lips into a silent ‘O’ in understanding.
Aiden remained quiet, processing the whole information.
He slowly looked up at Carla, then asked, “So IVF is ruled out?”
“Yes, Mr. Chaz,” Carla replied.
“Then what’s the other possible for a quick conception?” Aiden question with pure curiosity.
Carla sighed, she looked from one person to the other before speaking. “The natural method of conception, Mr. Chaz.”
Ariel frowned, trying to understand what she’d just heard, and when she understood what Carla meant, a deep frown formed on her face.
“By natural method, you mean, I have sex with her?” Aiden pointed his finger between he and Ariel.
“Yes, Mr. Chaz,” Carla confirmed.
“What?! No way!” Ariel sprang up from her chair, angry.
