Chapter 15

Book:Billionaire's Contracted & Unloved Wife Published:2025-2-9

Ariel couldn’t believe what she had just heard.
Was this female doctor being serious at the moment?
How was she supposed to reply to that right now?
“Um, I – I-”
“That’s enough!” Aiden suddenly growled, slapping his hand on top of the desk, startling both Ariel and the doctor.
Ariel turned her face to him, confused.
Why was he suddenly getting angry?
“Oh, I’m sorry if I’ve crossed the line, Mr. Chaz; I just thought since it’s a fake and loveless marriage, the both of you would be free to do whatever you wanted,” Doc. Carla apologized.
Ariel saw sense in what the doctor had said. It was true; their contract clearly stated that each had no right to interfere in the other’s business.
So, why was he acting strange?
“I don’t care what she does. But I didn’t come all the way here for her to have a chat with you,” He coldly turned to look at Ariel, “If she wants to, she can book a session with you,” His voice was icy as he spoke bitterly.
Ariel clenched her fists on top of her lap, anger overtaking her. He didn’t care, right? That was good. From now on, she would do whatever she wanted. She had been trying to be sensible in this fake marriage because she had wanted to seduce him to make babies for Grandma Nari, but she had a job now, and the salary was decent, she didn’t care about sleeping with him anymore.
At the end of the contracts she had with both the old woman and her grandson, she would use the money she had saved from working for Aiden to buy back the house from the Chaz family.
But, as far as this marriage is concerned, she no longer cares to please anyone except herself.
“Forgive me for being unprofessional, Mr. Chaz. What brings you to our hospital?” Doc. Carla asked, switching to work mode.
Aiden removed his eyes from Ariel and looked at Doc. Carla.
“We’re here to make a baby,” he said bluntly.
“What?!” Ariel instantly asked, snapping her widened eyes at Aiden.
She was looking at him as if he was performing in a circus – a clown. That was the only reason why he would say such a thing, he had become a clown.
“Ah, I see. And, I believe it’s through artificial insemination?” Doc. Carla asked.
“Excuse me, what are you people talking about?” Ariel asked, still shocked.
Was Aiden being serious right then? She had thought he had only been teasing her with the topic; she never thought he was serious. When he talked about changing the contract terms, was that what he was referring to?
No! She was no longer interested in making babies with him. Why did he want it all of a sudden?
“What were you thinking? That I’d want to have sex with you?” Aiden asked bluntly, lifting his lips depreciatingly at Ariel.
Ariel opened and closed her mouth, not knowing how to reply to such a blunt question.
Truthfully, when he had said that back at his office, she did think he was planning on sleeping with her, but she should have known better; an arrogant narcissist like him would never want anything to do with a classless girl like herself.
“Um, Mr. Chaz. It’s possible but a delicate, precious procedure. As it involves creating a life,” Doc. Carla said calmly, drawing the couple’s attention to herself.
“I feel too much unhealthy tension between you two; as a professional, I suggest you both go home and have a nice, friendly talk with each other. Then, come back tomorrow for this,” She fixed her glasses on her face.
“You see, even if you’re not in love with each other, you both have to find a level ground in your relationship, you’re both going to be parents to a baby soon and if we, the professionals, notice any disagreement between the couple on the issue of childbearing…” she paused and looked toward Aiden.
“I’m sorry, boss, but I can’t help you with the procedure; I’ll be going against my oath as a medical practitioner,” Doc. Carla said professionally.
“Yes, doctor, I am not-”
“We’ll be back tomorrow,” He interrupted Ariel’s words by placing his hand on her knee, squeezing it to keep her shut.
“Okay, see you soon, Ms. Ariel,” Doc. Carla said to Ariel.
Ariel nodded politely and followed Aiden out of the office, but she suddenly paused at the door and turned back to look at the doctor.
“Your proposal… I accept,” She said before walking out the door.

HUDSON’S FAMILY HOUSE…
Eva was leisurely sitting on the couch in the living room, lying on her mother’s lap as they watched a series on the television.
“Why’s Dad taking so long?” Eva asked, pouting.
“Don’t worry, darling. He’s almost here,” Caroline said, gently smoothening her daughter’s hair.
“Ugh, I’m starving already. If only that crazy girl didn’t run away from home, she would have made my dinner by now,” Eva whined.
“Relax, baby, Daddy is almost here with the take-outs,” Caroline soothed dotingly.
She creased her brows at her daughter’s words. She’s been thinking about Ariel’s disappearance and something told her Ariel didn’t just run away. Maybe she might have initially run away from home, and then something bad happened to her, maybe a kidnap or murder.
If not, why else would she stay away from home for three months now, and with no money, too?
She doesn’t actually care if she dies or not, but they are battling against a deadline. The Chaz family had gone quiet after the last reminder three months ago, and now, the time was nearing when they had planned to collect their debt, in cash or kind.
Of course, they didn’t have that huge amount of money to pay back, so, in kind was the best alternative for them.
But, now that Ariel had run away, who were they going to offer to the Chaz family? It definitely wasn’t their precious daughter, never.
Their daughter was fit for the popular and rich Aiden Chaz, the only recognized heir of the Chaz family, and not some unrecognized disfigured son.
She had always wondered why the old madam Chaz wanted to find a wife for this disfigured son of theirs, maybe she just needed someone to produce more heirs for them.
But an idea suddenly popped into her head. If Ariel somehow manages to return and is given to the Chaz family’s unpopular son, her children will immediately become the next generations to inherit the richness, automatically making her richer than them.
No, she wouldn’t allow them; she had to find a way to make Eva end up with Aiden Chaz; that way, her children would automatically become the next generation of the billionaire family’s wealth.
“Eva, dear,” She suddenly called, remembering that her daughter had applied for a job at Chaz Tech.
It was a very great opportunity for her daughter to get closer to the country’s most eligible and richest bachelor.
“Yes, Mom,” Eva answered, looking up at her mother.
“You’ve said you applied for a job at Chaz Tech, right?” Caroline asked, a plan already forming in her mind.
“Yes, Mother, but I’ve not gotten a response,” Eva said with a frown.
Caroline saw her daughter’s worries and felt sad, “It’s okay, don’t worry, I believe they’ll hire you, they only hire top-notch abilities, and you, my baby, are a top-notch human,” Caroline motivated.
“I just feel as if-”
“Caroline!” Jude suddenly barged through the door, looking as if someone had threatened his life.
Caroline was startled, almost pushing Eva to the floor.
“What is it, Jude?! You’re scaring us!” Caroline frowned, glaring at her husband.
Eve slowly raised herself off her mother’s lap, frowning as she saw that her father didn’t come back with any food.
“Dad! I’ve been waiting for you, starving! And you come back empty-handed?!” Eva was outraged.
“Not now Eva! Caroline, we have to find that girl!” Jude paced the living room, rubbing his hand across his face, frustrated.
“Who?” Caroline asked.
She knew what her husband was talking about, but she hoped it wasn’t she had just been thinking about a few seconds ago.
Have they demanded for their payment?
“Ariel! That damned girl, of course,” Jude said angrily.
“What now, Dad? Are you worried about her?” Eva rolled her eyes, crossing her legs together.
“No, darling, I’m worried about us,” He sighed and lowered himself beside his wide.
“How?” Caroline asked, placing her hand on his lap.
“The debt has been settled; we get to keep the houses,” Jude said dreadfully.
Caroline paused for a moment, then looked at her daughter smiling.
“That’s great news then! We should celebrate! Why are mentioning that witch?” Caroline laughed happily, hugging Eva excitedly.
“Yes, Dad, why are you still mentioning that slut?” Eva smiled satisfyingly.
“Because we have to find a way to make her produce an heir for her husband before the year ends,” Jude said, shocking the mother and daughter.
“What?!” Caroline and her daughter asked at the same time, shocked.
“Are you saying, she’s already married to the Chaz family’s son?” Caroline asked, frowning.
“Yes,” Jude’s answer made the women’s heart skip.
How? When?
Caroline felt challenged. She had to hurry up and push her daughter to marry Aiden Chaz. She can’t let Ariel produce the first heir. Never.
