“Christian!” He heard his name being yelled from all the way downstairs. He knew that Jenna was back from shopping with Kylee, he heard the security gate opening and he went to the window to see the car driving into the compound. He went back to finish work because he knew that when she’s around, there would be no concentrating.
She had woken him up this morning to tell him she was leaving and he was thankful that she had told him.
He would have been outraged to woke up to find that the bed was empty, the the house was empty and she was gone. Not just raged, terrified.
There were endless possibilities, marcellino’s might have lured her back and then flew her off the continent to marry off one of his investors, or she might have left home again, after one of his ex submissives send her something gut wrenching. His mind would have begun fabricating worst case scenarios.
It would have been worse if she left a note, it would remind him of that day he came home and she was gone. Just a sheet of paper telling him that she was gone. He still has nightmares about it.
This morning, she had woken him up and he had pulled her from where she stood at the side of the bed and she protested as he peeled her clothes off one by one until she was completely naked before him.
She had fought because Kylee was waiting downstairs, and he loved the resistance she put up. When she saw that she was only giving him more pleasure by playing his games, by fighting. She gave up and he was certain that with the way the both of them were moaning and fucking like wild animals, Kylee would have heard it from downstairs.
Now she was running up the stairs and still yelling his name. He threw the laptop aside, it almost crashed on the floor but it bounced and stopped at the edge of the desk, one push would send it crashing down. He didn’t care about the price of it, he didn’t care that he might loose important files, all he cared about was that the love of his life was angry.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” He asked, he saw that his hands were shaking terribly as he stretched them to hold her face. “What happened, are you hurt?”
“You!” She snarled.
He was taken aback, by the sharpness of her words and the pure rage that danced with it.
He moved closer to her, wanting to cover the gap.
“What did you do to Tina, she was begging for money in front of the mall” Now there were silver lining her eyes, he watched in horror as she started crying, her shoulders shook but that raw anger still remain, it didn’t give way to the vulnerability that comes with crying.
“Who is Tina?” Christian asked, his voice was calm. He was trying to weather this storm, trying to make her stop crying. She was hurting and he was hurting to see her.
She scoffed.
“You drove someone into poverty and you don’t even spare her the courtesy of remembering her name”
Christian chose his words wisely, he knew how easy it was for Jenna to catch the flame and bun, she would turn around and seek solitude, breaking all his attempts to apologize. He would only be tortured by the fact that she’s in a dark place because of him.
“I’m sorry” he said softly.
She rushed towards him and wrapped her arms around him, as if the softness of that voice broke through the iron clad anger, that same softness that usually led her to her release, every damn time.
“I saw Tina. What did you do, she looks horrible”
“Who is Tina?” He asked again.
“That reporter from the hospital…”
He didn’t remember anybody from any hospital.
He barely forget the names and faces of his business partners or even employee, anybody apart from them or his love, Jenna, were deemed unworthy and he never even stored their existence. His mind did the trick, he couldn’t even change it if he wished.
She punched his chest and she shot backwards in pain.
“Dear God” he yelled, trying to get her hand. He heard cracking and knew that she must have damaged her knuckles.
But surprisingly, Jenna started laughing.
He watched her without surprise or worry, he knew the beauty he was marrying was crazy.
“You broke your knuckles and you’re laughing?” He asked her and she tried to stop laughing but she failed.
“It’s not broken, it just popped”
“Let me see” he demanded form evidence.
She flexed her fingers in front of him and then placed a hand on his chest.
“I didn’t even feel anything” he told her brushing loose strands of hair away from her face. She blushed at how strong he was.
“Christian… Tina. Help her, give her back her life”
He tried to remember who Tina was but he shook his head. Jenna saw this and she went to take her phone.
A search on the internet and Jenna found the picture of the bright young woman smiling at her.
“Here, this is the Former Tina”
Immediately Christian saw her on picture, he remembered her.
Hate filled him and he scowled.
“Nothing can save her” he said tightly and Jenna frowned.
“What do you mean?”
“You should have seen the things she wrote. I could not stomach it and I’ll not spare her. She deserves to be crawling through the streets on her hands and feet, just to make ends meet”
“Christian!” Jenna warned, her tears had dried up and now she was glassy eyed.
“Now that you’ve brought my attention to her, why don’t I wreck her even more”
“She’s already down” Jenna said fearfully. A cold and thick shiver ran down her spine, such hate in his eyes, such anger.
She didn’t want to see what Tina had written about her.
“Forgive her. I don’t mind, I don’t care about what she wrote”
“I do!”
She realised that showing him the picture was not so much of great idea, she would have just made him promise to help her out and he would have, even when he learns who he is helping, he would never break it, because his promises are his bonds.
“For me…”
“You’re threating on dangerous grounds” he warned her as if she was someone else, threatening his Jenna. As if she was a stranger trying to use Jenna as bait. She was using herself.
“For the baby… Show them that you’ve moved past them. It’ll only be a matter of time before I start to show and they’ll be a lot more dreadful articles. What would you do then, ruin all their lives?”
She could swear that he was contemplating how he’d reduce each and everyone of to the beggars.
“For me and our baby, show them that, they can hurts us with mere articles “
