Chapter 1987: Farewell

Gracie looked at Leo with a pleading expression, “Lord Leo…”
“Ms. Wright, no need to say more, I understand,” Leo interrupted Gracie, glancing at Gilberto in his hand. “Get lost!”
Leo gripped Gilberto’s neck with his left hand and flung him fiercely in Derick’s direction.
Gilberto’s body shot towards Derick violently.
As Leo threw Gilberto, a hidden chill silently entered Gilberto’s body.
In mid-air, Gilberto felt a sudden coldness, and then no other sensation.
Elder Derick hurriedly caught Gilberto.
Gilberto coughed violently, and his originally purple-red face quickly returned to normal.
“Young Lord, are you alright?” Elder Derick asked with concern.
“Get away!” Gilberto broke free from Derick’s arms, his eyes filled with deep resentment as he looked at Leo.
From birth until now, he had never failed so miserably. He was proud of his talisman skills, yet he was defeated by this town lord.
Also, he was caught and almost lost his life.
Being humiliated in front of everyone from Falling Blossom Palace, especially Seraphina, was a lifelong disgrace for him!
The defeated Gilberto didn’t want to stay here for another second.
He opened a Spirit Pouch at his waist, and a ball of fire flew out, transforming into a crimson flame eagle on the ground.
Gilberto’s figure flashed, standing on the back of the crimson flame eagle.
Derick and Glenn, with gloomy faces, also flashed onto the back of the crimson flame eagle.
“Kid, I will remember you! I swear I will slaughter everyone in Clearwind Town and tear you to pieces!” Gilberto’s voice was filled with venom and ferocity as he swore.
The crimson flame eagle spread its wings and flew into the sky.
Standing on the back of the crimson flame eagle, Gilberto’s body swayed a bit, looking rather embarrassed.
As Gilberto and his companions flew away, the cold light in Leo’s eyes gradually receded.
“Lord, are you alright?” Mike flashed to Leo’s side and asked with concern.
Leo’s face was pale, and his chest was stained with blood.
“I’m fine.” Leo wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and shook his head.
Gracie, Willow, and others also approached.
“Lord Leo, thank you,” Gracie said gratefully to Leo.
Leo naturally understood why Gracie was thanking him. If he had really killed Gilberto just now, it would have been a disaster for Falling Blossom Palace as Runecarver Sect would surely take their anger out on them.
“This matter has nothing to do with Falling Blossom Palace. I naturally wouldn’t drag Falling Blossom Palace into it,” Leo shook his head. “Ms. Wright, Vice Palace Master Willow, and elders, farewell.”
Leo didn’t plan to stay at Falling Blossom Palace for long. His current condition was not good, especially the injury caused by the Dark God-Destroying Spear, which was not easy to heal.
Leo could clearly feel a dark force lingering in his body, affecting the recovery of his injuries. He needed to get rid of it as soon as possible.
Gracie nodded. “In three days, I will go to Clearwind Town to sign the Spirit Herb supply contract with Lord Leo.”
“Good, I will be waiting for you then,” Leo said, turning his gaze to Seraphina.
Gracie glanced at both of them and then said to Seraphina, “Seraphina, see Lord Leo off for me.”
“Yes,” Seraphina nodded gently.
Outside Falling Blossom Palace’s mountain gate.
The sunset bathed Sunset Peak in a golden hue.
Birds were returning to their nests. Looking around, the Spirit Fields resembling terraced fields glowed beautifully.
A man and a woman stood by a cliff on the left side outside the mountain gate.
An elder stood respectfully in the distance.
“Leo, Runecarver Sect is not like Bloodsoul Sect; they are very powerful. You…”
Leo stood with his hands behind his back. Before Seraphina could finish her sentence, he nodded. “I know.”
“Then why did you…” Seraphina’s tone was puzzled.
“Why did I provoke them so much?”
Seraphina didn’t speak, but her beautiful eyes conveyed that meaning.
Leo’s lips curled slightly as he looked at Seraphina seriously. “I did it for two reasons.”
“First, that guy had intentions towards you and provoked me. Of course, I had to teach him a lesson.”
“Second, even without today’s incident, there is an inherent conflict of interest between Starfall Shop and Runecarver Sect. Runecarver Sect would eventually target Starfall Shop.”
Seraphina’s eyes narrowed slightly as she nodded gently.
In Martial Dynasty, although Runecarver Sect mainly sold Talismans, they also had a significant share in the elixir market. Now that Starfall Shop had taken over the elixir market aggressively, Runecarver Sect would not sit idly by.
Interest is the root cause of all conflicts and disputes.
“If some things are destined to be unavoidable, it’s better to face them bravely,” Leo said firmly as he gazed into the distance.
Seraphina didn’t speak but looked at Leo with a complicated expression.
“Cough… cough…” Leo couldn’t help but cough a few times, with more blood seeping from his chest.
Seraphina’s eyes fell on Leo’s injured chest, which was covered in blood and looked terrifying.
“You should go back. I’m leaving now. I’ll see you next time,” Leo said with a smile as he turned his gaze back from the distance to Seraphina.
Seraphina responded with a soft “hmm,” biting her lip lightly. She reached into her Storage Sack at her waist and took out a white jade porcelain bottle.
“This is Falling Blossom Palace’s secret medicine, Falling Snow Jade Ointment. It should help your injuries,” Seraphina said as she opened her jade-like hand, and the white jade porcelain bottle floated to Leo.
“Thank you,” Leo said without hesitation as he took it.
Opening the bottle cap, a refreshing fragrance wafted out.
This ointment seemed to be made from fourth-grade Spirit Herbs and was an excellent remedy for stopping bleeding and healing wounds.
“Apply the ointment directly to your wounds,” Seraphina added.
Leo nodded and then reached for his belt.
“What are you doing?” Seraphina was slightly stunned by Leo’s actions.
“Such good medicine should be applied now. Why endure the pain until I get back to Clearwind Town?” Leo said as he untied his belt directly.
Taking off his clothes, Leo’s upper body was fully exposed.
“You… you…” Seraphina’s ears turned red instantly as she quickly turned her head away.
“Why so shy? It’s not like you haven’t seen it before,” Leo said with amusement.
“Give me back the ointment!” Seraphina gritted her teeth and tried to snatch the Falling Snow Jade Ointment from Leo’s hand.
“It’s a gift; you can’t take it back,” Leo said as he dodged her attempt while quickly applying some ointment to his chest wound.
