Emily savoured the rich chocolate and cream melting on her tongue as Lucas leaned in close, his breath warm against her ear. A shiver of anticipation ran down her spine.
“I’ve got a dilemma, baby girl,” he murmured, voice low and husky.
She turned to meet his heated gaze. “What’s that, daddy?”
Lucas’ eyes darkened as he replied, “I want you to take that plug and wear it for me now like a good girl. But I also want to feel it sink into place myself, see just how perfect you look when it fills you up.”
Emily’s core clenched at his words, arousal pooling between her thighs. She took another bite of cake to hide her smirk, letting the suspense build for a moment.
Finally, she leaned in close, lips brushing his ear as she whispered, “Guess you’ll have to wait then, daddy.”
She pulled back, relishing the way Lucas’ jaw tightened as he fought to maintain his composure in public. Two could play at this game of torment.
As Emily finished her dessert, her mind raced with delicious possibilities for later. The weight of Lucas’ stare felt like a physical caress. She wondered how long his legendary self-control would last once they were alone.
Emily’s fingers flew across her phone screen, a devilish smirk playing on her lips. She glanced up at Lucas through her lashes as she hit send, watching his eyes widen as he read her latest message.
“Fuck, baby girl,” Lucas growled under his breath. “You’re playing with fire.”
Emily leaned in close, her breath hot against his ear. “Maybe I want to get burned, Daddy.”
Her core clenched with need as she imagined the delicious stretch and fullness the plug would bring. But it was nothing compared to how Lucas would feel inside her, opening her up even more.
“Christ, the things you do to me,” Lucas muttered, shifting in his seat.
Emily bit her lip, heat pooling low in her belly. “Just wait until we get home.”
Her mind raced with possibilities. She pictured Lucas spreading her open, teasing her mercilessly before finally sliding the plug home. The anticipation was intoxicating.
“You’re going to be the death of me, you know that?” Lucas said, his voice rough with desire.
Emily grinned. “At least you’ll die happy.”
Emily’s heart raced as Lucas’ fingers brushed her lower back, guiding her through the crowded shopping centre. Each casual touch sent electricity coursing through her body. She bit her lip, fighting the urge to drag him into the nearest changing room.
“See anything else you want, baby girl?” Lucas murmured, his breath hot against her ear.
“Just you,” she whispered back, earning a low chuckle.
They paused at a makeup counter, Emily testing a deep crimson lipstick on her wrist. Lucas watched intently, his eyes darkening.
“That one,” he growled. “It’ll look perfect wrapped around my cock later.”
Heat bloomed in Emily’s core. “Fuck, daddy. Can we go home now?”
“Soon, baby girl. Soon.”
As they exited the store, shopping bags in hand, Emily’s mind raced with delicious possibilities. The plug. Her new lingerie. Those sinful text messages. Christ, she was ready to combust.
They reached Lucas’ car, the boot popping open with a satisfying click. Emily bent to arrange their purchases, ass in the air. She felt Lucas’ hungry gaze on her and smirked.
A shout cut through the charged atmosphere. “Emily! Wait!”
She froze, stomach dropping. No. Not now. Not him.
Emily turned slowly, coming face-to-face with Ryan’s approaching figure. His usual cocky stride faltered as he took in Lucas beside her.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Emily spat, hackles rising. So much for her perfect afternoon.
Ryan raised his hands placatingly. “I just want to talk. Please.”
Emily’s jaw clenched. “There’s nothing to discuss.”
Lucas placed a steadying hand on her lower back. She leaned into his touch, drawing strength.
“Five minutes,” Ryan pleaded. “That’s all I’m asking.”
Emily hesitated, torn between telling him to fuck off and getting this over with. She met Lucas’ concerned gaze, seeing the silent question there.
With a resigned sigh, she nodded. “Fine. Five minutes. Then you leave me hell alone.”
Ryan’s gaze darted between Emily and Lucas, jaw clenching. “I shouldn’t have cheated. It was selfish and stupid.” He ran a hand through his hair, agitated. “And I reacted like an ass when I found out about… this.” He gestured vaguely at the two of them.
Emily’s mind raced. Part of her wanted to lash out, to make Ryan feel even a fraction of the pain he’d caused. But mostly, she felt… nothing. The spark of anger that had sustained her had fizzled out, leaving only emptiness.
“That’s great, Ryan,” she said flatly. “Is that all?”
Ryan stepped closer, desperation etched on his face. “Can we talk? Privately?”
Emily felt Lucas tense behind her. Without looking, she reached back and squeezed his hand. ‘I’ve got this’, she thought.
“No,” she said simply. “We can’t.”
“Emily, please-”
“You don’t get to ‘please’ me anymore, Ryan,” Emily interrupted, finding her voice. “You made your choice. Several times, actually. Now you get to live with it.”
Ryan’s face crumpled. “I know I hurt you. But what we had-”
“What we had is over,” Emily finished. The words rang with finality, surprising even her. “Go home, Ryan.”
She turned, ready to climb into the car and leave this conversation, and Ryan, in the rearview mirror. But his next words stopped her cold.
“I still love you.”
Emily’s laugh was bitter. “No, you don’t. You love the idea of me. The girl who was willing to look past your bullshit.” She met his gaze, unflinching. “That girl’s gone.”
Without another word, she slid into the passenger seat. Lucas followed, engine roaring to life. As they pulled away, Emily caught a glimpse of Ryan in the side mirror, looking small and lost in the fading light.
She let out a shaky breath, adrenaline ebbing. Lucas’ hand found hers across the centre console.
“You okay?” he asked softly.
Emily considered the question. For the first time in a while, she felt… free.
“Yeah,” she said, a smile tugging at her lips. “I am.”
