~YULIA
I gasped as Yara did a sudden flip.
My eyes widened in disbelief as my thoughts swirled around, unstable like a stormy sea.
It felt as though electric currents passed through my body in great torrents. Staring at Iran crumpled my thoughts and shattered my soul.
‘He promised!’ I cried inwardly, complaining to Yara.
She ignored me completely and I felt the tension building in the room.
The feeling of betrayal settled in my heart as I remembered Issa’s words, assuring me that he would keep his beast at bay yet I was with Iran, all alone in Issa’s room.
I swallowed hard as my eyes roamed his body, my brain registering every detail. From his blazing red eyes to the outline of his body and his huge size, it was certain that I was done for.
He smirked as he began to walk towards me.
My heart skipped multiple beats and breathing became the most difficult thing to do. I shot my arms at him.
“Stay back, Iran!”
My legs began to move backwards on their own, but not for long as my back hit the wall, putting me in a difficult position.
He kept his eyes on me the entire time and never uttered a word. He was enjoying my discomfort and I wanted to curse him in all the ways that I could.
Yet it came as a surprise when he suddenly stopped and pulled a chair to sit before me.
The chair squeaked, almost as if it was begging for mercy under his weight but he didn’t care, he kept staring at me with a sickening smirk that stretched even wider across his face.
I frowned.
It was almost as if he knew about the thousand thoughts that ran through my mind. I sighed, having no idea what to do again.
Then I moved away from the wall and slowly sank unto the bed. His watchful gaze remained on me, causing Yara to dance in crazy ways.
‘Since he’s not going to talk, I might as well ignore him.’
‘You think you can?’ Yara asked.
‘Watch me.’
Sleeping seemed like the only sane thing to do. If it would get him out of my thoughts then I was willing to go for it.
I tried to close my eyes as I laid in bed but eventually, I gave up because I could not handle him staring at me.
“Screw it. What the fuck do you want?”
“What makes you think I want anything, Yulia? I just want to watch you sleep since you wouldn’t let me touch you or come close to you.” His deep voice vibrated into my ears, and caused an enticing chill run down my spine.
“I can’t sleep with you watching me, Iran!” I stated and he looked indifferent.
He chuckled. “I can’t release Issa yet. I still want to stay. . .” He trailed deliberately. “But you should know that keeping me here for too long is dangerous for Issa. He might bever be able to come back again.”
I gritted my teeth, as an alarm shot through my veins. I was treading on dangerous waters. A smug settled on his face as he registered my horrified expression.
“You know what you have to do, Yulia. That’s the only way that I’ll release him.”
I balled my hands into fists as I glared at him. I hated that he was putting me in this situation. I felt cornered like a rat surrounded by wild cats.
Yes, Issa was annoying, there was no denying the fact. I hated seeing him and hearing his voice and thinking about him but he was better than this beast sitting before me.
At least with Issa I had a say over things but with Iran, it was strictly what he wanted.
Besides, Issa saved me from death countless times. Allowing him to meet such a fate was bad on my part.
I needed to help him.
“Fine. You win,” I whispered dejectedly.
I jumped out of the bed and walked over to him before folding my arms. He looked up at me and I closed my eyes, finding it difficult to believe what I was about to do.
“I’m here, Iran. Kiss me, consume my lips with yours, fuck me, do whatever you want. But release Issa…”
He grunted and stood up, slowly.
I opened my eyes and saw his towering form. It made me feel so small beside him, like an ant.
I could see the lust in his eyes and I could tell from the way he licked his lips that he wouldn’t spare me.
“You say it as if you don’t want it too, you little liar…”
Then he grabbed me by my waist, bringing me closer to him. His forest scent hit me hard in my nostrils, So much so, it left me breathless.
He moved his hands up to my hair and ran his fingers through it, making cold shivers run through my spine as goosebumps scattered across my skin like wildfire.
He moved his hands from my hair, to my chin, lifting my head to meet his gaze. He bent over slightly and brought his lips so close to mine.
I couldn’t breath, I couldn’t think. So I closed my eyes and allowed my instincts to take over. Now that he had started it, I craved his touch and more.
Yet he did nothing. He was teasing me and building up tension. I was about to take the initiative and kiss him when he suddenly released me and stepped away.
“My time is up Yulia, we’ll meet again another time…”
I opened my eyes immediately as every emotion I felt inside me shattered and it was replaced by anger and hatred. Why would he put me in such a vulnerable state only to leave me hanging?
I was about to speak- to lash out at him when he blinked and his eyes were back to those forest green ones I knew too well.
