“You can’t get up that fast. Actually, you shouldn’t get up at all for a couple of days. Your still recovering from your death experience and killing a 2000 year old Feramors.” He says.
I roll my eyes and look at William.
“Can you bring her over here please?” I ask.
He comes over to me and gently sets her in my arms. I smile at her as she throws her arms up. She had a pitiful pouty face right now so I run my finger over her tense expression. She instantly relaxes at my touch and her eyes start to droop.
“That’s right my baby girl. Sleep, I’ll be here when you wake up. Though I can’t promise that I’ll always be here, I can promise right now. Sleep baby girl.” I coo.
Her eyes close and a small smile touches her lips. I look up to see tears in both William and Dickson eyes. They are dish babies… I roll my eyes and motion for them to come sit beside of me.
“Oh, come here guys.” I say.
They don’t hesitate and both snuggle up beside of me.
“You guys are such babies, you know.” I say with a smirk.
They both chuckle,”yep, but we’re your babies.” William says.
“Guys, seriously, you cuddled up next to me the second I asked. Doesn’t that hurt you pride?” I ask, a little shocked.
They both shake their heads,” not if you don’t tell anybody.” Dickson says evilly.
“Uh huh… why did you even want to snuggle up next to me anyway? Or should I even ask?”
“We were feeling lonely.” William says, giving me puppy dog eyes.
“We want our mommy.”Dickson says with a little pout.
We all start laughing until it hurts. They are so immature it worries me.
“Seriously guys, why?” I ask with a more serious tone.
“I just wanted to see Racheal sleep.” William says quietly.
“I was just cold.” Dickson says with a shrug. William and I stare at him with disbelief. Dickson rolls his eyes and sighs.
“Seriously guys! I was freezing! It’s like Antarctica in here!” He yells.
“Shhhh!!!!” William and I whisper.
“Sorry.” Dickson says very quietly.

Everything goes silent as we all fall asleep, snuggled together on the couch.
Leo’s pov
Ugh…
My head hurts so bad. What happened? The last thing I remember is fighting with Dickson . I look over to see an IV in my arm which I snatch out immediately. I slowly sit up and the day’s events flooded my mind. I check my wounds and they re almost healed. Perks of being an alpha, super fast healing! Yeah!
My feet touch the cold floor and I hiss. Too cold! Dang! I listen for anyone but it’s silent. Why don’t I hear anyone? What if they’re in trouble?! I jump out of bed but fall quickly back. My head is spinning and my eyes grow dark. I’m not going out! I force myself up again and stumble to the door.
After a moment, I feel better and rush out of my room. Once I’m in the living room I stop in my tracks. Mira, Dickson , William and Racheal are all huddled up on the couch, sound asleep. Aww, I wish I had a camera. I tip toe to the kitchen and look through the fridge for something to eat. I pull out some left overs and heat them up in a microwave.
I place my food on a plate and quickly inhale it. Then I suddenly get a mind link.
‘Alpha! You’ve been gone for months! What’s going on?’ My third in command asks.
‘Just personal business. I’ll be back in a few hours.’ I say, a little annoyed.
‘Okay alpha.’ Then the mind link is cut off.
Now I’m reminded of our other problem. My pack wants to kill my mate and thought they did kill her.
I know she won’t want to live like this forever and I know for a fact that she will do something stupid.
After losing her once, I know that I can’t lose her again. I wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Ive gotta get this handled somehow.
Ronald’s POV
This is chaos!!! I can barely hold this pack together! The members are demanding to see their alpha but he hasn’t been here. Our third in command has been trying to contact Leo and finally he answers.
I swear I thought that man was dead!
Sarah comes over to me with a worried look on her face. Her hands protectively on her belly as she rubs it.
“Beta, William said he’d be back today and he hasn’t come. I’m worried. I can’t even mind link him, which is very strange.” She says.
I try to sound strong and confident but really I’m a complete mess.
“Sarah, I’m sure he’s coming, don’t worry.” I say.
I see tears in her eyes as she nods her head.
“I hope so beta.”then she turns around and leaves.
I run my hands through my messy hair and groan. How am I supposed to keep this pack together?!
I suddenly see the third in command Running over to me.
“Beta, the alpha will be here in a few hours.” I sigh in relief and flop into my office chair.
He’s coming. The alpha is coming.
