Everyone paused for a few seconds, Kelly and Max seemed alright as they exchanged looks.
“Lily.” Axel called and walked towards her.
Lily stared at El Diablo, he looked like he was okay. Her eyes widened in shock when he slowly fell to the floor. He was bleeding, he got shot in his chest.
Lily rushed to him as he groaned in pain on the floor. Axel got to them and looked at the direction the shot came from, it was from Anastasia. She shot him.
“Zach.” Lily called softly as he groaned in pain. Tears clouded her eyes as she watched him struggle. Anastasia slowly walked towards them and stopped when she got to her brother. She stared down at him and sighed in relief.
“Fuck. It feels good to finally do this. I have been wanting to do this for years.” She groaned and smiled happily.
Lily ignored her, her focus was El Diablo. No one needed to tell her that he wouldn’t survive it.
“Fu… Fuck you.” El Diablo managed to say to his sister and she rolled her eyes.
“Guess who is dying?” She asked and laughed.
He looked at Lily and didn’t say anything, slowly, he died in her arms and she cried.
“Oh, please. Don’t cry for him.” Anastasia scoffed.
“Why will you do this?” Lily asked and looked up at her.
“Do you think he would hesitate to do the same to me? I just beat him to it first.” She shrugged in response and Lily glared at her.
“Come on.” Axel said to her and pulled her up. He looked at Anastasia and she raised her brows.
“What? Have got no business with you.” She said.
“Well, you are the one who sent my wife to kill me.” Axel replied and she rolled her eyes.
“You killed my daughter.” She replied.
“Yeah, because you tried to kill me first.” Axel replied.
“Whatever. The deal between you and my wife is off. She is never coming here again.” Axel said as he held Lily’s hand. She was still sad about El Diablo and was staring at his body.
“Okay.” She shrugged in response.
“Let’s go, it’s over.” Axel said to Lily and pulled her with him. They walked towards Max and Kelly.
He suddenly paused and Lily looked at him.
“On second thought.” He said and turned to Anastasia. He raised his gun and shot her repeatedly till she fell dead.
“Why did you do that?” Kelly asked.
“She will bring up something that will cause a problem again. It’s better if she stays dead and it all ends and besides, she is so fucking annoying.” Axel replied. Lily exhaled heavily and wiped her tears.
She felt a little bit satisfied that Axel killed her.
They suddenly heard Max groan and they turned to him, he was about to fall but Axel was quick to catch him.
“He got shot.” Lily muttered as she moved closer to him.
“Yeah, we have to get him to a hospital.” Kelly said and Axel helped him out of the building with Lily and Kelly trailing behind him.
They got out and got him into the car. As they got in, Axel handed Lily his phone.
“Call Nora and tell us to meet us at the central hospital.” Axel ordered and Lily nodded in response as she placed a call across to Nora.

MANY HOURS LATER
Lily watched as Nora stared at Max worriedly, he was unconscious on the bed. She felt guilty she put him in that situation.
Axel and Kelly weren’t in the room. Earlier, Kelly left and promised she would be back. She couldn’t stay in public for so long, the cope was still after her. Axel had to go back to the hotel to get a few of Max’s things.
He would actually be spending a few days at the hospital. He lost a lot of blood. He hasn’t woken up either and it’s close to twenty-four hours already.
Lily slowly stood up and moved closer to Nora, she got to her and wrapped her arms around her neck softly from behind, and placed her chin on her head.
“You hate me now.” Lily sighed and Nora rolled her eyes.
“Depends. I won’t forgive you if anything happens to him.” Nora replied and Lily smiled.
“Nothing will happen to him.”
“I hope so.” Nora sighed.
“Still mad at me?” Lily asked.
“For almost choking me to death? Not really.” Nora scoffed and Lily chuckled.
“I’m sorry.”
“You should apologize to your husband, not me.” Nora replied and Lily sighed. The door opened and Axel walked in with a little bag, they both turned to look at him and Lily pulled away from Nora.
Axel didn’t look at Lily as he walked fully into the room, he handed the bag to Nora.
“Thank you.” She muttered and he nodded.
Lily suddenly held Axel’s hand and he looked at her.
“Can we go for a walk?” She asked.
“I have to stay… ”
“Please.” She cut him off. He glanced at Nora and she smiled at him.
“It’s fine. I can stay with him.” She replied.
Axel withdrew his hand from hers and walked out ahead of her.
“Good luck.” Nora mouthed to her and she smiled.
She walked out after him, he walked towards the elevator and she rushed after him.
They got into the elevator and Axel pressed the button to the top floor.
“Where are we going?” Lily asked.
“The roof.” He replied without turning to her.
“Why?” Lily asked, confused.
“So I can push you off if I don’t accept your apology.” He replied and looked at her. Lily nodded and looked away from him as she felt the urge to laugh.
They got to the rooftop and Lily smiled as she looked around. They walked to the middle then Axel stopped.
“I’m listening.” He said and she turned to him. She exhaled heavily and nodded.
“I was in a relationship with Zach and I am so sorry I kept it from you. I was just so scared that you wouldn’t want to be with me anymore. I don’t love him, I might have felt something for him but it wasn’t so real and serious. I had sex with him a couple of times and I am so so sorry. I know you hate me so much now and you won’t want to have anything to do with me again but I… ”
“It’s fine.” Axel cut her off and she stared at him surprised.
“What?”
“I said it’s fine.” He replied again and she stared at him closely. He was looking normal, not annoyed.
“Wh… what? Are you sure?” She asked again and he nodded.
“You are not mad?” She asked. She felt so worried he was not mad and yelling at her. She wanted him to do something.
“Do you want me to be mad?” He asked back and she nodded.
“I did something really bad and I don’t expect you to not do anything about it. If you want a divorce it’s fine, we can work it out with the kids too.” Lily said with her heart racing and tears rushing to her eyes.
“You want a divorce?” Axel asked and she hurriedly shook her head as tears rolled out of her eyes.
“I am just so worried you are being cool about this.” She said and sniffed. She stared down at her fingers and played with them.
Axel chuckled and slowly moved closer to her.
“I love you, Lily.” He said and she looked up at him.
“I love you and I won’t let you go again and get involved with a bad person. I am the reason everything bad that happened to you happened and I am sorry. I am mad you had something with him but I am letting it go because we weren’t married then and I have cheated on you before.”
He explained and held her hands. She sniffed.
“And now, we are starting over again. We have overcome all our battles. Starting now, no secrets, no fights, just love.” Axel said and she nodded with a smile.
“I love you too.” She replied and hugged him happily. Axel smiled and wrapped his arms around her.
She pulled away after a few seconds when she recalled something.
“Oh, one more thing.” She said.
“What?” He asked and she smiled nervously.
“I am pregnant.” She rushed her words and chuckled nervously. Axel just stared, he didn’t say anything.
“It’s not Zach’s. It’s yours, I am sure of it.” Lily hurriedly added but still Axel wasn’t saying anything.
“Axel?” She called as her smile faded.
Axel suddenly laughed out loud and spun her around.
Lily giggled as he did.
“I am so happy.” He chuckled as he placed her on her feet. Lily’s phone suddenly rang and she withdrew it from her pants pocket. She forgot it was still with her, she thought she lost it already.
“Oh, it’s Kender.” She said and picked up the call and then placed it on speaker.
“Hey, baby.” Lily called.
“Mum, I just want you to know whatever happened between you and Dad, I am on your side and I will always support you. I know it’s Axel’s fault, he can be so mean.” Kender said and Axel’s lips parted in shock. Lily giggled.
“Really?” Lily asked.
“Yes. I and Kendra are on your side.”
“No, I’m not. I’m on dad’s side. Have you forgotten that mummy is Nadia? She is the mean one.” Kendra said and Axel smiled.
“Thank you, Kendra.” Axel said and Kender gasped.
“Dad is there? I didn’t mean that.” Kender said and they both laughed.
“When are you guys coming home?” Kendra asked.
“In a few days.” Axel replied.
“Finally, we might be getting fat. Grandpa gives us everything we want and things we don’t need.” Kender groaned and they all laughed happily. They talked with their kids for a few minutes before ending the call.
Axel sighed in relief and Lily hugged him.
“A promise to be with me forever?” Lily asked as she pulled away from the hug and raised her pinkie finger. Axel took it and smiled at her.
“Every thine, ever mine, ever ours.” He replied and kissed her.

WEEKS LATER
The Blackwells were back in New York and everything was back to normal. Max was okay and he and Nora were happy together.
Mr. Blackwell was so happy when he heard Lily was pregnant. The twins were happy too. They were all happy and everything was going great for everyone. The McCalls still weren’t heard from but Lily heard from Malia. She was doing fine on her own somewhere in the world.
Susan was still not heard from, she felt so bad for cheating on Mr. Blackwell and she couldn’t bear the shame of returning to society.
Dexter and Axel became business partners too. After so many years, Lily finally gave her father a proper burial. Lydia and Taylor returned to the city with their daughter too.
Everything was perfect for the Blackwells and everyone around them. Axel was also at the top of the table in the mafia world. He got more popular and feared when the news about El Diablo and Anastasia being dead spread. He defeated the devil. Kelly was safe in Russia too.
In short, everything was perfect!
“So, what do you think? Is this our happy ending?” Lily asked with a smile as she straddled Axel, they were both in his study.
“Well, what do you think?” Axel asked back as he wrapped his arms around her.
“I love you, Axel Blackwell.”
“I love you too Lilyana.” He replied with a smile.
They stared at each other and chuckled.
“Every thine, ever mine, ever ours.” Axel whispered to Lily.
“Ever ours.”
