Axel looked at Lily, she had tears in her eyes and looked scared. He was about to walk closer to them when El Diablo withdrew his gun and pointed it at Axel.
Lily gasped and struggled to get free from him but his grip on her was too tight.
“If you take a step closer, I will fucking blow your head off.” He warned but Axel ignored him. He was hurting Lily, that was all he could see.
Axel took a step closer to them again and he shot Axel’s arm. Lily screamed as Axel held his arm and groaned in pain.
“I don’t bluff Blackwell, your head is next.” El Diablo threatened.
“Axel, please. Just listen to him.” Lily pleaded. Axel glared hard at El Diablo.
“Hmm, Axel Blackwell. It’s such an honor to finally meet you in person. Just stating the obvious here, I am El Diablo and I am the reason your wife has been here.” He said and Lily shook her head.
“No. Don’t listen to him, Axel.”
“Why not? We should talk about this. I think now is the perfect time to talk about this.” He said and let go of Lily. Axel felt relieved he wasn’t hurting her again. He hissed in pain as blood rushed out of his arm.
Lily was about to rush to him but El Diablo shot her a glare and she froze.
“Go ahead, Kitten. Tell him how I made you feel good that you couldn’t stop wanting more.” El Diablo ordered.
“Don’t do this Zach. You really don’t have to do this.” Lily said and he glanced at her.
“Hmm, no one has called me that for a while.” He said and turned back to Axel.
“Say it or I will shoot him again.” He threatened and Lily looked at Axel, he looked away from her.
“Zach, please.” Lily pleaded and he shot the wall close to Axel, Lily flinched. She couldn’t say something like that, she didn’t want things to get ruined between her and Axel.
“I… ”
“You are actually going to say it to me?” Axel asked her in disbelief.
“I am trying to save your life here.” Lily replied.
“I don’t need your help. Don’t fucking say anything to me.” Axel snapped at her and El Diablo shot at the ground, it was just inches away from him.
“I am waiting.” He said and Lily stared at Axel. He wasn’t looking at her.
“I’m sorry Axel. I am so sorry.” She apologized and sniffed.
“Zach makes me feel good. At first, I hated him so much and was ready to put a bullet in his head by any chance I got but with time, I didn’t want to. He kidnapped me but he told me I was free to go a week later but I didn’t leave. I couldn’t leave because I started to like him.” Lily paused and sniffed as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“I knew what I was doing was wrong, it felt so fucking wrong but I just couldn’t help it, I wanted more of him. Months passed and my feelings for him kept growing, I realized that was the only thing I wanted. Just to be with him.” Lily said and El Diablo smirked.
“Nice job, kitten.” He said and kissed her cheek before walking away.
Lily’s heart raced as she stared at Axel, she was about to move closer to him but he took a few steps back.
“Don’t.” He whispered.
“You are bleeding.” Lily said in tears. Axel ignored her as he leaned on the wall, he exhaled heavily as a lot kept going on in his head.
He couldn’t tell what hurt more, the fucking bullet wound or the pain in his heart. He could feel his heart shattering as he kept imagining how happy his wife would have been with El Diablo.
Before he could control himself, tears welled up in his eyes. He was so mad, so mad at himself. He let her go and she was used by someone else. He wasn’t mad at Lily. He blamed himself for everything.
Although Lily acts so though now, he forgets she is still his naive wife who could easily be manipulated. He let her slip right out of his arms.
“Axel, you are bleeding.”
“Oh, please Lily. Not now.” He whispered as tears rolled out of the corner of his eyes.
Lily noticed he was crying and she gasped silently, she felt so bad and started to cry out loud.
“I… I wanted to tell you but I couldn’t. That was why I didn’t want to bring what happened up. I am so sorry, Axel.” She cried.
Axel exhaled heavily and closed his eyes, he knew it but he didn’t want to admit it. Part of him believed it wasn’t possible so he just went with that.
“Axel.” She called and he opened his eyes, he noticed she was in front of him.
“Your arm.” She whispered and he glanced at it. It felt numb, the pain he was feeling in his arm was nothing compared to how bad his heart was hurting.
He was so mad but he kept trying his best to stay calm. He has been weak for a long time, he changed because of her. He quit being ruthless because of her, he wanted a normal life with her and their kids.
It was about time he brought his old self back, there were a lot of things he needed to do.
They suddenly heard footsteps and they both turned to see El Diablo coming towards them.
“On second thought, I want my kitten to come with me.” He said and grabbed Lily’s arm roughly.
She struggled with him but he held her firmly. Axel just watched and did nothing.
“Let go of me.” She cried but he ignored her cries as he pulled her with him.
“Axel.” Lily called in tears as El Diablo pulled her.
Axel did nothing and watched them till they were out of sight. He sighed and closed his eyes again.
Just like he was years ago, he suddenly craved one thing he had loved doing all his life.
Killing. He couldn’t wait to kill so many and get a lot of blood on his hands. What seemed dead in him for years was suddenly away. He was back, back for good!
