“Nora, Nora.” Lily yelled and rushed after her, she got to her and stood in her presence.
“What? Get out of my way.” Nora replied.
“Nora, please. You can’t tell Axel.” Lily pleaded.
“Why? I should lie to my brother?”
“No, I am not asking you to lie, don’t just tell him.” Lily pleaded and Nora rolled her eyes.
“You know, you do the least thing anyone expects. How can you stare at Axel and lie to him that you don’t know El Diablo even when you are in a fucking relationship with him?”
“It’s not what you think.”
“I don’t care. I am telling Axel.” Nora said and tried to walk past her but Lily grabbed her roughly and pinned her to the wall. She held her neck firmly and Nora gasped.
Lily had a deadly look that terrified Nora.
“I don’t want to do this but you are making me to. I am begging you to not tell him, I will tell him myself and I will fix it but don’t tell him.” Lily said as her grip on Nora’s neck became tighter.
“Li… Lily.” Nora gasped as she tried pulling away from her.
Tears welled up in Lily’s eyes as she choked Nora.
“I can’t lose Axel and my babies. You have to promise me you won’t tell him.” She said and Nora nodded.
Lily let go of her immediately and she gasped loudly, she coughed repeatedly and took a few steps away from Lily.
“I’m sorry.” Lily apologized as Nora creased her neck.
“Fucking bitch.” Nora cursed and walked away. Lily blinked back her tears and sniffed. She ran her hands through her hair and headed out as she recalled her moments with El Diablo again.

MONTHS AGO
Nadia stared at the food on the table and exhaled heavily. She was starving but she was a little scared of it.
Who knows if it was poisoned? She looked around the room and sighed again, she had no idea how long she was there but she was sure Anastasia would be searching for her.
After staring at the food for a while, she couldn’t resist anymore. She was hungry.
She got off the bed and walked to the table, she picked up the tray and walked back to her bed.
She slowly started to eat as she thought about how to escape. She had no idea where she was.
She was almost done with the meal when the door to the room opened and El Diablo walked in. Her heart skipped a beat as she looked up at him.
He looked so intimidating without even trying.
She tried her best to stay calm as he walked towards her. He sat on the bed in front of her, Nadia ignored him and continued eating.
“So when will you be negotiating with Anastasia and let me go?” Nadia asked and looked up at him. He raised his brows but didn’t give her a response.
“Isn’t she looking for me already?” She asked.
“You don’t get it?” El Diablo suddenly spoke up and she stared at him confused.
“Huh?”
“I am never letting you go. I wanted you and now I have you and you will never be free from me.”

PRESENT
Lily walked out of the club, she froze when she saw Nora, Max, and Axel standing by the cars.
Max was hugging Nora and it looked like she was crying. Lily’s heart raced as she walked closer to them, she hoped Nora didn’t say anything.
She got to them and Axel stared at her.
“Are you okay?” Axel suddenly asked and Lily nodded nervously.
“Hmm.” She moaned in response.
“Nora said El Diablo’s men attacked you guys. You guys met him.” Max said and Lily nodded again.
“Yeah, that was what happened.” She muttered and looked at Nora. She looked away from her and buried her face in Max’s chest.
“We should head back.” Lily said after a few seconds of silence. It was awkward.
“Yeah, I will ride with you.” Nora told Max and he nodded at her.
They both got into the car and Max drove off leaving Axel and Lily.
“Let’s go.” Lily muttered and walked closer to the car.
“Where were you?” Axel suddenly asked and she froze. She turned to him and raised her brows.
“Huh?”
“I am not buying Nora’s dumb story. Where were you, Lily?” Axel asked and moved closer to her. Her lips parted slightly as she thought of what to say.
Axel got closer to her and stared at her, he waited for her to speak.
“Come on, go ahead. Lie to me.” He said.
“Axel… ”
“You were with Nora but she doesn’t reek of alcohol, she also doesn’t have weed smelling on her and you are not high so you didn’t take anything. Where were you?” Axel asked sternly and Lily shook her head as she felt her hands tremble.
She wanted to tell him, tell him everything but she was so scared.
“Lily, say something!” Axel yelled at her and she flinched.
“Nothing. I was with Nora.” She lied.
Axel shook his head in disbelief and looked around before turning to her.
“I can’t be around you.” Axel said and brought out the car key, he threw it at her and she caught it.
Axel was about to walk away but Lily stood in front of him.
“Axel, please.” She pleaded with tears welling up in her eyes.
“Stay away from me Lily.” He replied and tried to walk away again but she still stood in his way.
“Please stay away from me. I don’t want to hurt you.” He muttered. Lily noticed his hands were trembling, he was so mad. His eyes looked bloodshot and his breaths were shaky.
His phone suddenly rang and he withdrew it from his pocket, it was Kendra calling.
He slowly picked up the call and placed the phone on his ear.
“Hey, baby.” Axel called. He tried his best to sound okay.
“Daddy, I can’t sleep.” She said and Axel sighed. Lily stared at him, feeling so much pain in her heart.
“Why? Are you okay?”
“Yes. I just miss you so much.” She replied and he slowly smiled.
“I miss you too, baby.”
“Is mummy there?” She asked and Axel looked at Lily, he paused for a few seconds before answering.
“No. Mummy is not here.” He replied and Lily exhaled heavily as she blinked back the tears that were about to roll out of her eyes.
“Where is she?” Kendra asked.
“I don’t know, Kendra. I will call you back, I am in the middle of something.”
“Oh, okay.” Kendra replied and Axel ended the call immediately.
Axel sighed heavily and looked at Lily.
“Don’t make me hate you, Lilyana. Don’t make me hate you.”
