Nadia’s eyes were fixed on her phone as she stared at the date on it. It was almost time and she couldn’t wait. She had been waiting for ten years and getting ready too.
Over the years, she managed to achieve a lot of things. Wealth and power were what she gained the most. She made sure she had enough power to do whatever she wanted in different countries.
Two months ago, she started to carry out her plan. She started to take out everyone that knew could come in her way and stop her.
She needed to be smart too, not only powerful.
She exhaled as she dropped her phone, everything was working out.
The door to her office opened and two of her men walked in. They bowed at her before raiding their heads to speak.
“We are done with everything you ordered us to do ma’am. There won’t be any movement in and out of New York. We also hijacked every one of their goods we could find.” One of them said and she nodded.
“Great. Now, get ready. We will be going to New York City in a few days.”

“I think you should forgive Dad.” Kendra said to Kender as they walked out of the car and headed into the school.
“What? No.” Kender replied.
“But he is sorry and he apologized.
“Ugh, so?”
“So, we should forgive him. Also, it’s his first time yelling at us.”
“And he eventually told us what had been on his mind. We drive him crazy.” Kender replied and rolled his eyes.
Kendra smiled and stood in front of him.
“You know he doesn’t mean that and it is kind of our fault too. He received bad news and we didn’t give him enough time to process it.” Kendra said and he frowned.
“Come on Kender. Please.” She said with a smile and poked his shoulder.
“Ugh, fine.”
“Thank you.” She replied happily and hugged him.
“But we will still visit Grandpa after school.” He said as she pulled away from the hug.
“Yeah, sure.”
“Kender.” They suddenly heard a voice call and they both turned to see Daniel walking towards them.
“Oh my God, it’s Daniel. It’s Daniel.” Kendra giggled happily and hit Kender’s shoulder.
“I know, I can see that.” Kender scoffed.
“Quick, how do I look?” She asked as she hurriedly ran her hands through her hair. Kender frowned and looked away from her.
“Ugly.” He said and she frowned. Daniel got to them and shook hands with Kender while Kendra stared nervously with a smile.
“Hey, Kendra. You look pretty.” He complimented her and her cheeks heated up. Kender suddenly frowned and hit Daniel’s shoulder slightly.
“Don’t do that. You can’t compliment her.”
“But she looks pretty.” He said again and Kendra giggled happily.
“Thank you, Daniel.” She replied and Kender glared at the both of them.
“You have no right to think my sister is pretty. Let’s go.” Kender said and pulled him towards the entrance.
Daniel looked over his shoulder and waved at Kendra, she smiled happily and waved back at him.
They were out of sight and Kendra withdrew her phone from her backpack. She clicked on her father’s chat and sent him a message.
“He is not mad anymore.” She sent.
Axel got the text and he smiled and sighed in relief immediately after he saw it.
“Why are you smiling?” Max asked. They were both in the car heading to Axel’s warehouse.
“They are not mad at me.” He replied and Max smiled.
“So weird seeing you like this.” Max said and he chuckled as he thought of his kids. He loves them so much, they were the best things that happened to him.

Time passed like a flash and school was over for the day. Kendra made her way out of the class with her brother and Daniel.
As they walked towards the exit, they kept hearing everyone talking about the ball.
“Can’t they all shut up already? Why is everyone excited about the new season?” Kender groaned and Daniel chuckled.
“Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean others don’t. Are you looking forward to it too, Daniel?” Kendra asked him and he shrugged.
“I am cool with it.” He replied.
“It is in a few days. I am so excited.” Kendra giggled.
“But the last five seasons have been boring.” Kender whined.
“This season might not be.” Daniel said.
“Yeah, I wonder what will happen this season.” Kendra said with a smile.
“I feel like it needs to have a little difference. Like something should happen, something should just go wrong.” Kender added.
“What? Why would you want that?” Daniel asked and he shrugged.
“I just hope this season is better.” Kender said and his sister turned to him with a smile.
“It will be, trust me. It would be the best season we have ever had.”
