Axel cupped her face and pressed his lips to hers. She was too shocked and confused, she tried to pull away from the kiss but Axel held her firmly.
She couldn’t reciprocate, all she did was part her lips and let Axel do the work. After a few more seconds, he pulled away from her and she smiled shyly at him. Her cheeks were bright red.
“Wh… why did you do that?” She whispered. He ran his eyes on her body and looked up at her again.
“Are you done with the book?” He asked instead, he ignored her question.
“No, not yet. I still have like a hundred pages left. I will be done by tomorrow.” She replied as she stared at the page she was reading and closed the book.
“You read so slow.”
“Hmm.” She responded and nodded her head.
“Did you finish high school?” He asked and nodded in response.
“Yeah, but it wasn’t really a good high school and I am also not really a brilliant person. I don’t know most things.”
“I can see that.” Axel replied and she furrowed her brows.
“I am dumb?” She asked.
“Naive.” He replied and she was about to speak up again but Axel held her hand and pulled her with him. As they walked, Lily kept thinking about what he meant. Is she naive in a good way or a bad way?
In seconds, Lily forgot about that and thought about something else.
“Axel.” She called as they got to the hallway and he paused and then turned to her, he gave her a questioning look and she sighed.
“I know you said I shouldn’t ask any questions till I am done with the book but I am just really confused about one thing and I want to know about it.” She explained and he nodded.
“Okay, go ahead, ask.”
“When I read the book, sometimes I… I feel the same way you make me feel and I don’t know what to do about it.” She said and Axel watched her as she stuttered and tried to form her words.
She really isn’t experienced in anything in life, some people have like her low life but they know all these things. Why doesn’t she know them?
Sometimes he thinks she is just pretending to not know all these but she isn’t. She always looked so curious and innocent when asking them or if she was being explained to.
“An… and when I feel that way, I… I always think about you, Axel.” She added and stared down at the book. Axel didn’t say a word, all he did was keep watching her.
No one has ever made him have a thousand thoughts about something, he is so fast in doing things, and he gives his answers straight but here he is, trying to understand why his wife doesn’t know what the word ‘horny’ is.
Wondering why his wife is this straight about her feelings, wondering why she doesn’t have any idea of what she is doing.
“Axel.” She called softly and looked up at him.
“Yeah?”
“You aren’t saying anything.” She said and he looked away from her for a second then turned back to her.
“When you read the book, you feel horny because of the content in the book. When you feel that way… ” Axel paused and took a step closer to her and she moved back a little. He stared into her eyes and as usual, she held his gaze.
She is naive but she isn’t intimidated by his gaze, he really doesn’t get her. She seems simple to understand because she behaves like a child but at the same time, she is complicated.
“When you feel that way again, I want you to touch yourself.” Axel muttered and she raised her brows.
“Touch myself? How?” She asked curiously.
“Just move your hand down on yourself, the rest will come naturally.” He replied and she nodded.
“Oh, I get it. Like in the book when… ”
“Don’t talk about the book, just do what I say.”
“Okay.” She replied and smiled.
“Oh, one more thing.”
“What?” She asked, he leaned closer to her and Lily could feel her knees getting weak. Since she had been close to him, she couldn’t explain how she was feeling, how her body was feeling.
Her heart, her knees, the way her skin reacts to his touch, the tingling feeling she gets in between her legs. She couldn’t explain it all.
At the moment, she was feeling his breath on her neck and the images of him burying his face in them while they were in the study kept popping in her head and she wanted him to do it. She wanted him to do it so bad.
“Think of me.” He whispered and she blinked rapidly as she snapped back into reality.
He pulled away from her and she nodded in response.
“That would be easy.” She said and chuckled nervously. Axel held her hand again and pulled her with him. They got back to the ballroom and met some couples dancing and others doing something else.
Axel ran his eyes all over the place in search of Max or Nora. He found them together at a corner and he walked towards them.
They got to them and Nora smiled seeing both of them, Max stared at Lily and the book in her hand for a few seconds before turning to Axel.
“Where have you guys been?” Nora asked as she poured herself a drink.
“Around.” Lily replied with a smile.
“Ugh, when is this ball ending?” Max asked and looked around the room.
“The adults seem to be having fun.” Nora replied as she watched the couples dancing in the middle of the room, they were all adults.
“Probably because it was hosted by middle-aged couples.” Max added and they all chuckled except Axel.
“Lily, what is with that book? You have been holding on to it all night.” Nora said and Lily held the book to herself firmly.
“Yeah, it’s nothing.” She replied and Nora furrowed her brows. Lily isn’t the type to hide something.
“I am really curious about it too. What is in the book?” Max asked too and she glanced at Axel nervously.
“Nothing.” She replied.
“You guys think she is so naive and will tell you everything?” Axel asked and Nora chuckled.
“No offence Lily but she is. The only reason why she isn’t showing us that book is because there is more to it or maybe because you asked her not to.”
“I didn’t.” Axel replied and Nora chuckled.
“And she is not naive.” He added.
“Well, it seems you know your wife so well… ” Nora trailed off and turned away from them, she poured vodka into a glass and then turned to them again.
“Lily.” She called with a smile.
“Yes?”
“Water.” Nora replied and handed her the glass, she took it immediately and gulped it all. Lily gasped and coughed repeatedly as it burned her throat.
“You were saying?” Nora asked, turning to Axel with a smirk and he rolled his eyes. He took the glass from Lily and dropped it.
“Nora, that is not water, did you mix it up?” She asked as she coughed and Max chuckled.
“She is so cute.” He chuckled and Axel turned to him, he stopped chuckling and cleared his throat.
“I didn’t mix it up.” Nora replied, trying to get her next reaction. All these were to just prove how naive she was.
“Oh, it is okay. It’s fine.” She replied with a smile and Axel sighed.
“Max is right, she is cute.” Nora chuckled.
“I think the vodka is starting to kick in.” Max said as he watched Lily, she kept closing her eyes and opening it repeatedly and she had a little sweat on her forehead.
Axel turned to her and turned back to Nora with a stern look.
“Axel.” She called and held his hand tightly.
“Axel, I don’t feel okay.” She whined and was about to stagger but Axel wrapped his arms around her and held her.
Max watched her as she held onto Axel tightly, he found everything about her so cute. His eyes moved to the book in her hand, her grip on it was less now.
He thought again, what the hell is in that book?
