Amara POV

I don’t understand why Tommy is here?
” Why are you here?” I asked him in complete shock.
” I work for Dimitri. I am his accountant.” He tells me with a smile on his face.
I don’t understand why he would work for him. Dimitri always bullied him in school. Why would he willingly come to work for Dimitri and when did he get so buff? He actually looks handsome not that he wasn’t in high school. He looked dated able but he also looked and dressed kinda nerdy.
Not to mention he was terrified of Dimitri.
” I see.” Taking a seat next to Dimitri I look down at Sadie. She was asleep curled into a small ball with her head resting on Dimitri abdomen with a pacifiers her mouth.
” So, how have you been?” Tommy asked me.
” You aren’t here to play catch up. You are here to work.” Dimitri snaps at him.
“R-right.” Tommy stutters out as he starts looking at the papers in front of him.
” You don’t have to be mean to him.” I whisper to Dimitri.
” This isn’t high school Amara. He is here to work not to socialize.” Dimitri whispers back.
I get that Tommy works for him now but it won’t hurt for him to be a little nicer.
” Fine.” I whisper back through gritted teeth.
” Give me Sadie. She needs to be put to bed.” I tell him.
He looks at me for a spilt second before looking down at Sadie. ” Yeah, your right.” He says gently handing Sadie to me.
She moves a little and slightly opens her eyes. She let’s out a small whine and rubs her eyes, ” Dada.” She whines.
” Shh, It’s okay.” I tells Sadie and gently rock her.
She sniffles and rubs her eyes with her little hands.
I wish she could stay this small forever.
I smile watching the pacifier bob up and down as she sucks on it. I let out a soft giggle and give her a small kiss on the forehead before standing up.
I leave the kitchen and carry Sadie to my room. As I enter I notice all mine and Sadie stuff is gone.
I walk out of the bedroom and find a maid. ” I don’t mean to bother you, but where is all the stuff that was in that room?” I ask gesturing towards my bedroom.
” Dimitri request that it all be moved into his room.” The maid answers.
He did what?!
I don’t recall agreeing to staying in his room.
I will need to have a conversation with him about this. Right now I need to get Sadie into her crib.
I let out a frustrated sigh as I walk back to Dimitri bedroom. I flip on the light and see Sadie’s crib in the corner away from the window.
Why not have the crib next to the window? It would make it look nicer.
Carrying Sadie over to her crib I look down to see her sound asleep once again. She must have fallen asleep on the way up here. I am guessing she stayed up pretty late to be this tired.
I gently place Sadie into her crib and tuck her in with a soft pink blanket with bears on it. I don’t recognize this baby blanket. I guess Dimitri put it in her crib for her to use.
Hearing the door open and shut I turn around to see Dimitri walking over to his closet.
” I don’t recall asking to be moved into your room.” Crossing my arms over my chest I watch him take off his shirt and toss it into a laundry basket that is next to the closet door.
” I don’t recall caring. I wanted Sadie in here with me because it is safer.” He says not even bothering to turn around.
I watch as he starts unbuckling his pants. ” Could you not do that while I am in here!” I snap at him.
” You don’t have to watch.” He says looking over at me with a smirk.
I turn around and face the wall, ” You are such an asshole! I didn’t ask you to move me and Sadie into your room!” I whisper yell at him.
I almost forgot Sadie was asleep in her crib. I don’t want to wake her up accidentally. She can be a very cranky if she doesn’t get enough sleep.
” Well, this asshole is doing what is best for both his girls.” Dimitri whispers in me ear. I jump from feeling his breath on the back of my neck. I turn around facing him to see a cocky smirk still on his face.
He wasn’t wearing his black jeans anymore just plain gray sweatpants. ” I don’t recall ever dating you and put on a damn shirt.” I snap at him.
” We aren’t dating yet and I don’t like sleeping with a shirt on. Let alone pants but I figured it would make you more comfortable.” Dimitri says as he walks away from me and gets on the bed.
I laugh, ” You don’t actually think I am staying in here with you?” I ask.
” You don’t have a choice Amara, but you are welcome to try to use a different room.” Dimitri says with a smirk as he gets under the covers.
What the hell is that suppose to mean?
” Are you threatening me to stay in the bedroom with you? ” I question him with a raised brow. ” Is that how you got Tommy to work for you? ” I add.
” I offered Tommy a job he couldn’t refuse. He gets paid better working for me, than he would have if he got a office job at a stupid accounting firm.” He opens a drawer on the nightstand and pulls out a cigarette box.
” You are not smoking that with Sadie in here!” I snap at him.
” Relax, it isn’t cigarettes. I have nicotine gum inside the box to keep from smoking around Sadie.” He takes a piece of gum out of the cigarette box and unwraps it before popping it into his mouth.
” I do appreciate you not smoking infront of Sadie but you can’t make me sleep in this room with you. I am finding another room and you know that Tommy is terrified of you.”
Dimitri laughs, ” You are still on about Tommy? He isn’t the same kid from middle school or high school Amara. I didn’t make him do anything he didn’t want to do.” He puts the cigarette box back into his nightstand drawer and shuts it. ” I also said you can try sleeping in another room. ” He adds.
I roll my eyes, ” I am sick of your shit! I can’t believe I actually missed you! Now I am remembering how much of an asshole you are!” I snap before walking out the room.
I wanted to slam the door shut but I don’t want to wake Sadie up.
I walk down the hallway and head towards my original bedroom. I turn the knob and it clicks open allowing me inside.
I wonder what he meant by try sleeping in another room. I am sure it was just an empty threat. He wouldn’t actually do anything to hurt me.
I lock the door behind me and strip off my shorts and shirt. When I woke up after being drugged by Dimitri I was already wearing these clothes. As comfortable these clothes are I just want to sleep naked in my bed.
Climbing into bed I lay down and cover up. I get half asleep before I hear the door open and lights being flipped on.
I jump awake confused and blinded by the light. It takes a moment for my eyes to adjust before I notice two huge muscular men wearing uniforms.
” Can’t stay in here. This room is being remodeled.” The man standing next to the door tells me.
While the other man is staring at me instantly. I pull my blanket tight to my chest. ” Can you wait outside so I can get fucking dressed!” I snap at them.
The gaurd by the door nuges his friend. They both leave the room and shut the door behind them.
So this is what he meant by try sleeping in a different room. He is going to have his men walk into a lock room and wake me up to tell me I can’t sleep here.
Well he is going to be pissed off when I tell him about this.
I get off the bed and quickly put my shorts and shirt back on.
As I walk over to the door I can hear the two gaurds talking to each other.
I press my ear up to the door to hear better.
Guard one: She is hot as hell. If the boss didn’t already claim her. I would definitely fuck her into submission.
Gaurd two: I wouldn’t look in her direction dude. The boss will kill you just hearing you say those words. She belongs to the boss. We are to just keep her from sleeping in any of the rooms. Not to flirt or touch her. We probably should have banged on the door to wake her up and not pick the lock.
Guard one: Why are you freaking out? We didn’t do anything wrong.
Guard two: Because we walked in on her naked in bed! If the boss finds out about that. He will kill us!
The second gaurds sounds really terrified of what Dimitri might do to him.
I turn the door knob and step out of the room causing both gaurds to stop talking.
” Room is ready to be remodeled.” I tell them in a cheerful tone.
I step in between them and start walking off down the hallway towards Dimitri bedroom. As I go around the corner I feel a strong hand grab ahold of my forearm, and forcefully pulls me to a stop.
I turn around to see it is the guard that was staring at me in my room.
” You are beautiful and since the boss normally shares all his toys. I am sure he won’t mind me having a little fun with you.” He licks his lips and stares down at my chest.
I roll my eyes and rip my arm free from his hold. ” What the hell! Don’t touch me!” I snap at him.
He clenches his jaw and slams me against the wall. I see an opening and kick him in the crotch before running down the hallway. I can hear heavy foot steps behind me. So I push myself to run faster.
As I run around the corner my chest starts burning and my legs start to get tired. I can see Dimitri door a few feet away so I slow down. Once I get to the door I start to turn the knob to go inside. Only to get shoved into the door hard enough to knock the wind out of me.
A second later I feel the door being ripped away causing me to lose balance and I go crashing to the floor with a hard thud.
” What the hell are you doing!” Dimitri snaps as he helps me to my feet.
I look over at the gaurds to see he has both his hands up in the air with fear on his face. ” N-nothing boss I swear.” The guard tells him.
Looking at Dimitri I suddenly realize why the guard has his hands up in surrender. Dimitri is pointing a gun at him.
Dimitri takes one look at me and pulls the trigger. The gunshot echos throughout the hallway and the guards falls to the floor dead with a bullet in his head.
I stare at the lifeless guard and watch as blood starts to pool onto the floor.
I can’t believe he actually shot him.
