Amara POV

It was around dinner time and I had just got Sadie into her high chair. Since tonight we are having spaghetti I had chopped up the noodles really tiny and mixed in the spaghetti sauce without the huge clumps of meat or tomatoes into her blue rubber bowl.
I scoop the food up with a tiny baby spoon and hold it up to Sadie mouth. She wiggles in her seat happily and opens her mouth for me. I can’t help but laugh watching her.
No, wonder Liam and Lucia like feeding her. She is just so stinking adorable.
” Aw! She eating food already!” A familiar girly voice says in a happy tone.
I look in the direction the voice came from and stare in disbelief at Mary.
I must have been staring a little longer than intended because Sadie starts whining and babbling at me. I stare back at Sadie who now has her cheeks all puffed out and is glaring a me.
Lucia laughs, ” I can feed her. Why don’t you two catch up and eat.” He tells us.
I slowly nod and start to stand but a maid has ready brought me and Mary a plate full of spaghetti.
I watch as Mary takes a seat next to me. While Lucia moves the high chair over a little with Sadie still sitting in it.
” Did they kidnap you?” I asked Mary getting straight to the point.
Mary smiles at me and shakes her head, ” No, I came here willingly to be here with you and Sadie.” She tells me softly as she picks up her fork.
” Are you not happy to see her?” Lucia butts in.
I look over at him and shake my head. ” I am happy to see her, but I just didn’t expect to see Mary here.” I tell them both honestly.
This doesn’t make sense to me. Dimitri isn’t the type to just allow anyone in his group. When we were back in high school there was this boy that would follow us around. He was two grades lower than us. When he finally got the courage to talk to us. Dimitri exact words were, ‘ If you can do something for me. I will consider letting you in my group.’
I don’t know what Dimitri wanted the boy to do for him but after that he started avoided us like a little scared cat.
Wait!
” What did Dimitri have you do for him?” I asked Mary and watch as she chokes on her noodle’s.
I fucking knew it!
” N-nothing.” Mary says as she wipes her mouth with a napkin and avoids eye contacts.
” I know you’re lying. Now what did he have you do?!” I snap at her.
I’m not mad at Mary I am mad at Dimitri for getting her involved in this mess. Mary glances behind me and I know she is looking at Lucia trying to get conformation on weather or not to tell me the truth.
I stare back at Lucia, ” What did you and Dimitri have her do!?” I snap at him.
” I didn’t have her do anything she didn’t want to do.” Dimitri says from behind me.
I turn around in my chair to look at him. ” What do you mean?” I asked him.
” I volunteered to help them.” Mary butts in. I stare at her with a raised brow, ” What exactly did you volunteer to do?” I asked her.
Mary opens her mouth to speak but Dimitri beats her for it. ” She volunteered to plant all the files around your old work place to send everyone involved in Richard dirty business to prison.” He says calmly as he takes a seat across from me and Mary.
Unbelievable!
He kills my old boss than he gets my best friend involved in his bullshit!
” Mary! Why would you do that!” I snap at her and watch as she calmly sticks her fork full of spaghetti into her mouth. ” I did it cause I wanted to be close to you and Sadie.” She says with her mouthful of food.
” Are you insane! What you did is illegal!” I tell her and stare between her and Dimitri. I shake my head and stand up causing my chair to scrap against the floor. ” I can’t do this with you guys.” I tell them as I storm off in the direction of the hallway.

Dimitri POV

As I watch Amara storm off in the direction of the hallway. I hear Lucia say something to me causing me to look over at him.
” What?” I asked him calmly.
” I said how did you finish all the paperwork so fast?” Lucia questioned me.
” I didn’t get it done I brought it home with me to finish here. After you left I got bored so I packed everything up and came home.” I tell him as I watch him feed Sadie.
She grunts at Lucia causing me to laugh, ” You aren’t feeding her fast enough.” I tell him.
Lucia chuckles, ” I don’t want her to choke on it.” He tell me as he wipes her face with a napkin.
Hearing a coughing sound of someone clearing their throats I look at Mary. ” What?” I asked her.
” Shouldn’t someone go talk to Amara?” She asked us.
” She fine, just let her throw a fit. She gets pissed off at us all the time.” Lucia tells her and makes a face. ” Was that you?” He asked Sadie. Sadie just giggles happily and sticks her fingers in her mouth as the sound of a little squeaky fart fills the dinning room.
I bite back a laugh as Lucia tries to keep a straight face. While there is laughter coming from the entrance of the dining room. I look over to see Liam on the floor holding his stomach as he is laughing.
” Feel better?” Lucia asked Sadie with a small chuckle. Sadie nods her little head happily and looks at me. ” Dada!” She says happily finally noticing me.
” Hey sweetie.” I tells her softly as she holds her little arms out to me. I stand up and walk over to her. I slid the tray back and unbuckle the seat belt that was keeping her in place.
I pick her up and make a face, ” You stinky.” I tell her. Sadie shakes her head, ” Noooo! you!” She says with a little nod of her head.
I laugh, ” Right, lets go find mommy.” I tell her. ” Ya!” Sadie says as I carry her towards the door. I look at Liam who is still on the floor laughing.
I swear he acts like he never heard a baby fart before. ” Get up and go eat.” I tells Liam as I walk past him.
I guess I will have to talk with Amara after all.
