This is a nightmare!
I can’t believe my old job called cps on me!
Those fucking assholes!
I take care of my daughter. I give her everything she needs. She comes first in my life and they report me just because I quit my job over an email.
They are shitty people!
After hanging up my phone. I throw it angrily against that wall.
” Woah! what’s wrong?” Liam asked still standing in the doorway with his hands up.
I had forgotten he was still in here with me.
My eye’s began to water as I let out a soft sob.
” My old job called Child protective services on me. They apparently reported that I was homeless, jobless, and working on a street corner. If I don’t go back to Wisconsin. They will flie a child endangerment charge against me. I don’t know what to do! I don’t have a job. I even used most of my money to get here. The rest has to go towards Sadie.” I explain as I start to bawl my eyes out.
I gently rubs Sadie’s back as she continues to feed.
Wiping my tears away I let out a sniffle.
Feeling arms being wrapped around me I hear Liam whisper to me. ” Don’t cry Amara. They aren’t taking Sadie away from you. You just have to let us handle it okay.” Liam says softly as he kisses my forehead.
” H-how?” I hiccup as I wipe the tears from my eyes again.
” Don’t worry about it. You just feed Sadie and try to relax.” Liam says softly as he gives me another kiss on the forehead, before he turns and walks out the room.
I will try to relax, but I doubt I will be able too.
What have I ever done to those people to be treated so horribly. All I have ever done was do my job to the best of my abilities. I even put up with their constant disrespect and stupid rules they would make up.
Even would let my coworkers be cruel to me, but god forbid if I stood up for myself.
I hate them all!
Hearing Sadie soft snores it get my attention.
I fix my shirt and stand up.
Carrying her over to her crib. I gently set her down into her bed.
Tucking her in and watching her move a little in her sleep.
We did have a long trip getting here and it is still a little earlier.
I turn on the baby monitor and grab the other monitor, before walking out of the bedroom.
Shutting the door and walking into the kitchen. I see mom has already made breakfast.
While Luke was at the table sipping on his coffee.
Looking around I don’t see Liam anywhere.
” Where’s Liam?” I ask as I pull the chair back and take a seat.
” He went out on the balcony to have a phone call.” My mother answers as she starts piling pancakes onto my plate.
He must be telling Dimitri about my situation. Although I don’t know how they are going to help me. Its only a matter of time, before cps tracks me here. Its best I return to Wisconsin, before things get to bad.
Im still not sure what I will do about work, but I can’t let them take Sadie from me.
Picking up my fork and stabbing my pancake with it. I take a bite and groan, ” I forgot how much I missed your cooking mom.” I tell her as I stuff my face.
My mom lets out a soft chuckle, ” Well, its nice to know you missed my cooking.” She says with a smile as she takes a seat.
I am halfway through my breakfast. When Sadie’s baby monitor goes off and her crying fills the room.
Wiping my face with a napkin, ” I’ll be right back.” I tell my mom and Luke.
Sliding my chair back as I stand up. I walk into the bedroom.
Sadie was sitting up in her crib. Her eyes filled with tears as she sniffles.
” Sweetie, mommas here.” I tell her as I lean down to pick her up.
She holds her little arms up to me.
Picking her up I notice her onsies is wet.
” No, wonder you are upset. Your all wet.” I say softly as I kiss her forehead, and grab her diaper bag off the floor.
I set Sadie gently on the bed and unzip her onsies and takes it off.
Hearing a slight knock on the door. I figure it has to be Liam. Since my mom would be gushing over Sadie, and Luke was on his second cup of coffee.
” Yes, Liam?” I asked him as I take the wet wipes out along with a fresh daiper.
” How you know it was me without turning around?” Liam asked.
I hear the sound of his footsteps get closer. Until he is standing next to me.
” Dimitri is taking care of the cps situation. So you don’t have to worry about it, and no one is taking Sadie from you.” Liam tells me.
Taking off the dirt daiper. I grab the wet wipes and gently cleans Sadie up.
” How is Dimitri going to take care of it?” I say and give Liam a questioning look.
Liam smiles, ” That I can’t tell you.”
Right, of course he isn’t going to tell me.
As I place a fresh daiper underneath Sadie. I put baby powder on Sadie buttom, before securing the straps on the daiper.
” All done! Now lets find you a onsies.” I tell Sadie in a soft happy tone. Sadie giggles and kicks her feet happily in response.
Liam chuckles, ” She really is adorable, and you are a great mother.” He tells me.
I smile, ” Yeah, she is adorable. She also a happy baby for the must part. I do try my best to be a good mom. I sometimes think I am failing. ” Digging around the daiper bag. I find a yellow onsies with a cute little duck on the front.
” You aren’t failing as a mom. You shouldn’t put yourself down.” Liam tells me in a stern tone.
He is sweet as always.
I really missed being around him.
He was always the one picking me up and cheering me on. Liam is more of a sweetheart, but he can be an asshole. When he needs to be.
While Lucia is more rude and tells things like it is.
Dimitri can be cruel and the only ones I have seen him be nice to is me and the boys. Everyone else he will treat like dirt without a second thought or a care in the world.
Getting Sadie dressed in the yellow onsies. I stare at Liam, ” So, where are the other two at?” I asked him.
” They will be back tomorrow. In the meantime I will help you get moved in to the mansion.” Liam informs me.
” I didn’t ask when they would be back. I asked where they were.” I say picking Sadie up and putting her on my hip.
” Also who said I was living with you guys?” I asked him with a raise of my brow.
Liam smiles at me, ” If you live with us it will be safer. Besides Dimitri isn’t going to let you live on your own. You know how stubborn he can be.”
I nod my head, ” Yeah I guess.”
Dimitri can be very protective of me. He has always been that way. He also has to have things done his way.
I guess I should go.
I rather live with them, than be here with my mom. Don’t get me wrong now. I love my mom, but I don’t want to hear her and Luke having sex. It also gets very awkward sometimes, because I don’t know what to say to Luke.
” Fine.” I tell Liam plainly as I roll my eyes.
” Great, I will call some-” He pauses a moment as he thinks, ” Friends to help move your car and pack up your stuff around here.” He finally says as he takes his phone out and starts texting.
” You mean we are going now?” I ask him.
Liam nods, ” Yeah, It will give you time to get settled in.” he says looking up from his phone.
I wasn’t really expecting to leave immediately, but I suppose it will be fine. I also don’t want to keep imposing on my mom and Luke. I know my mom won’t care how long I stay. But Luke probably doesn’t want me to keep hanging around. I get the feeling he doesn’t like me very much. Unless he feels uncomfortable around Liam.
But I don’t know why Liam would make him uncomfortable. Its not like he has threatened Luke in anyway or is secretly an assassin.
Bouncing Sadie gently on my hip. I take her into the kitchen. Where my mom was now doing the dishes, but Luke was nowhere in sight.
” Where did Luke go?” I asked her softly.
Seems like everyone keeps disappearing.
” He had to get to work. He should be back later today.”
” Oh okay, I was wondering so I could thank him for letting me stay. I am going to live with Dimitri, Liam, and Lucia.” I tell her.
She smiles, ” I figured you probably would go live with them.”
I watch as she finishes washing the dishes and turns towards me. She holds up her arms and Sadie dives right into her chest.
I laugh, ” Well, someone wanted grandma.” I say with a smile.
Sadie giggles and babbles happily. She rest her head on moms shoulder and gives her a hug.
” Aw! grandma loves her hugs!” My mom says giving Sadie a firm hug back.
” Remember to bring my grandchild by to see me.” She adds
I nod, ” I will and you can always come visit me. If its the same mansion I think it is. Its just on the otherside of town.” I tell her softly.
She nods, ” I will definitely visit you and my grandchild.”
Sadie’s loud babbles gets our attention.
” Were we ignoring you?” My mom asked as Sadie nods her head.
I laugh, ” Well, sorry.” I tell her.
Sadie just gives us the cutest smile.
She a little stinker thats for sure.

An hour later all of Liams so called friends showed up to pack up all my stuff.
My car has already been taken to the mansion. While the stuff I brought inside was being packed away, and took down to a black SUV.
Looking at all the man in black suits. I can tell they are all muscular and workout a lot.
When one of the men was picking up the portable crib. I noticed a gun on his waist band in the back.
I’m not sure how Liam knows these people. He calls his friends, but they are all packing heat.
Lots of heat at that. I noticed a few had knifes hidden. They don’t have them hidden very well, but its enough for normal people like my mom not to notice.
I only noticed because Dimitri, Lucia, and Liam would also carry at school. I would just always act like I never noticed.
” So, why is everyone armed?” I whisper to Liam.
He smiles at me, ” You noticed that huh?” he says as he strolls through his phone.
” Yeah, so do you mind telling me why they are all heavy armed? Or how you know all your sketching friends?” I question him the a raised brow.
” Woah, slow down on the question.” He says putting his phone into his jacket pocket. ” They are armed for protection. As for the rest I can’t tell you the rest. Dimitri would have to explain the rest to you when he comes back.” He adds.
” Boss, we are done.” A young man around our age wearing a black suit and tattoos on his knuckles tells us.
” Boss?” I question Liam.
He just smiles, ” We will be right there. Just wait by the car.” He tells the man.
The man nods and walks away.
” So, you really aren’t going to tell me? Your going to make me wait until Dimitri gets back?” I say question him once again.
” You should go get Sadie. Since we are ready to leave. I will be waiting outside.” He says before walking out the door.
He avoided my question.
I roll my eyes and walk over to my mom.
She was sitting in the floor with Sadie in her lap. Showing her pictures of me as a child.
” She isn’t going to remember everything you tell her. She is still small.” I tell her with a smile.
My mom laughs, ” Yeah, I know. Its just nice to share memories with her.”
I know she just wants to make a connection with Sadie.
” I’m sure if you keep showing her all the pictures. She will eventually remember, but maybe tell her. When she is old enough to remember.” I tell her.
Walking over to them. I squat down and hold my arms out to her.
Sadie giggles, ” Ma!” she says and crawls out of my moms lap. She crawls right up to me.
I smile, ” Hey baby! We are going to a new home.” I tell her and stand up with her in my arms.
My mother stands up and walks over to me.
” Let me know when you get to your new home and don’t be a stranger.” She tells me.
” I will mom and you can always come visit.” I remind her for the millionth time.
She acts like I am leaving and not coming back.
” I know.” She tells me as she leans over and gives me a hug.
” I love you and be safe.” She tells me as Sadie and me both hug her back.
” I love you too mom.” I tell her.
We talk for a few more minutes and say our goodbyes.
Walking out of the building. I see Liam standing by the black SUV.
He is texting on his phone. Sadie’s loud babbles get his attention. He puts his phone into his jacket pocket and opens the back door for me.
I climb inside and sees that Sadie’s carseat has already been installed in the middle.
I hear Liam shut the door behind me, and climbs in on the otherside.
Putting Sadie in the carseat and buckling her in. She babbles to me happily and kicks her little feet in excitement.
Liam laughs, ” She seems excited.” he tells me.
I nod, ” Yeah, she probably is.” I say as I finish buckling her in.
Liam gives the driver the signal to start driving and he pulls out onto the road.
” So, is it the same mansion?” I questioned him.
Liam shakes his head, ” No, Dimitri actually bought a newer and bigger house. The other house burnt to the ground a few years ago.”
” No, one was hurt right?” I asked worriedly.
” No, no one was hurt. It was empty since everyone had went on vacation. A lot of the important stuff was already moved into the new mansion. So the rest was easily replaceable.” He informs me.
” Thats good nothing important was lost. I know Dimitri had a lot of stuff that had belong to his mother.” I tell him. ” Also, Is Rex going to be there? It’s been awhile since I seen him.”
I can’t wait to see Rex!
He was always like a second father to me. I am excited to see him again and to introduce him to Sadie.
” Yeah, he is actually there now. He has already been told that you are coming. Even have a room ready for you.” He tells me.
An hour later we arrive at the masion. It was a lot bigger than the old place.
I unbuckle Sadie from her carseat and hold her in my arms. Liam gets out and walks around opening the door up for me.
I step out of the SUV and Sadie does a little wave to Liam.
” Hey, little one.” Liam says as he grabs my purse and daiper bag out from the floorboard.
” She acts like she wasn’t just sitting next to me babbling the whole way here.” He says with a softly chuckle.
” She probably thinks you are leaving.” I tell him as Sadie rest her head against my shoulder.
” Ah, I see.” Liam says as he shuts the car door, and looks at Sadie. ” I’m coming with you silly.” He tells her.
Sadie giggles and smiles cutely at at Liam.
Looking at the grey colored masion and the small rose bushes along the porch.
I can’t help but look at it in amazement. It really is beautiful.
Walking up the stairs Liam opens the door for me. There are a few maids that can be seen tidying up in the hallways.
I do notice armed man hanging around but they don’t pay meme any attention.
” About time you got here. I been waiting for my favorite girl to show up.” Rex says as he enters the entry way.
I smile, ” Hey, Its nice to see you again.” I tell Rex.
” And who is this little one?” He asked looking at Sadie.
She smiles and holds her arms out to him.
Rex’s takes her gently out of my arms.
” That is Sadie.” I tell him with a smile.
” She isn’t shy.” Rex says poking her nose gently causing her to giggle.
I am surprised she lets Rex take her. She normally throws fits when someone she doesn’t know tries to hold her.
” She normally throws fits when people try to hold her. I am a little surprise.” I tell him honestly.
Rex chuckles, ” Kids love me. I am the baby whisper.” He tell me with a wink.
” I can see that.” I say with a smile.
” Come on, lets catch up in the living room. Tell me what you have been up to.” Rex says as he starts walking towards another room.
That I can only assume is the living room. The furniture looked expensive. There were two grey couches and a grey chair with a golden coffee table in the middle of the room.
I take a seat next to Rex.
Now that I can get a better look at him. He actually looks the same just a little older. He even looks more muscular than last time I saw him.
Rex looks pretty good for his age.
Its going to be great to finally catch up.
