I regained consciousness, my gaze swept the place. It didn’t take me a second to realize that I’m in a hospital, the quiet movement from my beside snapped my attention there.
Relieved when I noticed that it was just a nurse doing her work.
There was no need to ask why I was here, I passed out when the fight started outside the warehouse.
Right then, it became obvious to me that there was a much bigger fight going on inside.
I knew the fight going on inside was more bloody and brutal.
The fight wasn’t just because of the kidnapping stuff anymore, it was a fight of dominance and only the strongest will come out alive.
“Hi.” I called for the nurse’s attention.
“Hi miss, you’re awake.” She smiled at me tenderly, her friendly aura makes me return her smile with a nod.
“How are you feeling? Weak? Dizzy?” She asked.
“A bit weak but not dizzy.” I told her, I can barely hold myself.
“That’s good to hear, the doctor said you will feel weak, but you can also be discharged as everything else is fine.” She informed me as she assisted me to sit up right.
“Thank you…?” I trail off.
“Judith.” She completed for me.
“And one more thing, you will have to be extra careful as it’s not good for your health and the baby.” Judith smiled as she said that.
I paled, every drop of blood drained from my face. Baby? I am pregnant?
Oh My God!
How am I pregnant? I don’t know if to laugh, leaping for joy. Tears brimmed on the edge of rolling down, a smile broke out on my face.
My hands unconsciously went to my stomach, rubbing it tenderly.
“I guess you were not aware?” Judith spoke, distracting me for my little happiness.
I shook my head at her, I couldn’t if form words. I am as speechless as I am as happy, this is the greatest I’ve heard in a long time.
“Awwwn, congratulations then, I wish a successful motherhood journey.” Judith grinned. “Your paperwork has been prepared, and you will be discharged soon, congrats again.” She hugged me before leaving me alone.
I can’t express how happy and overjoyed I am right now, a life is forming in of me. My hands went over my stomach again, caressing it, now I understand the feeling pregnant women have.
How they can’t stop admiring their stomach, touching it with love and wondering how a life is inside them.
My happiness stood still, my breath knocked out of my lungs when I remembered Marco.
How do I tell him I’m pregnant? With everything going on in his life right now, will he even accept this baby?
There are too many dangers lurking around right now, bringing a baby to this world right now will not be safe.
Oh My God, is Marco even alright? What if something has happened to him? Worst dead, the scene I witnessed outside the warehouse was bloody to know that things might not end well.
I need to go to Marco, I want to see him.
My heart was beating rapidly, I was about coming down from the bed when the door burst open.
“Fuck, woman, you’re going to kill me off someday.” Marco raced towards me, he swept me off the floor and locked me in his embrace.
I leaned on him, closed my eyes, savory the comfort from his embrace.
Thank God he’s alive.
I held him tightly as if he will disappear if I let go.
“I was so scared, I thought something bad had happened to you.” I murmured, breathing him in.
I held my breath when the smell of blood hit me, I pulled back as much as I can since Marco refused to let go.
“What?” Marco grumbled.
“Blood.” I pointed at him, he was covered in blood.
“It’s not mine, baby relaxed.” I didn’t realize I had held my breath until he said. “I came here immediately I heard you’re here.” He explained.
“It’s fine.”
“Let’s go home, I can’t stand this place.” Marco groaned.
The disgust in his face says it all, his nose wrink as he gazed around us. I quickly changed from the hospital clothes and we left.

It being two days after the incident, we are still in Italy. I didn’t let the incident hinder my mood, we still toured around Italy.
Rebecca resumed her duty of being our tour guide, Marco has explained everything clearly to me. He had intentionally planned out everything, and he was the one who asked Rebecca to play that role.
“I’m done, make-up light and simple as you requested.” Rebecca said, dropping the brush back in the make-up kit.
I stare at myself in the mirror, the make-up is really light and compliments my face perfectly.
“Thank you.” I stood up, stretching, I’ve been sitting there for almost an hour.
Rebecca came today but declared that we aren’t going touring today, but we’re going somewhere special. She even refused to tell me where we were going, she just requested I trust her.
So here I am getting ready for the special place.
I wore the red dress she brought, the dress stopped just above my knees. The fabric hugging every curve in my body, it was a simple off-shoulder dress.
I wore a silver heels and carried a silver clutch to compliment the red dress. My hair was in waves over my shoulder, exposing the silver earrings.
“I’m ready.” informed Rebecca flatly, I’m anxious about where we were going, but I tried not to show it.
“My God! You look so beautiful, Marco is going to fall all over again for you.” Rebecca chirped, grinning from ear to ear.
She seemed to be excited about something, it was written all over her, her tone, expression, and body movements all shows her excitement.
“Still not telling me where we are going?” I query.
“Not a chance.” She laughs, catching fun in keeping in suspense.

We arrived at the location, it is one of the usual five-star restaurants in the city. We alighted the car, and made our way to the entrance.
Is it a party?
Rebecca’s excitement increased with each step we took, I kept wondering what surprise she had in store for me.
We entered the restaurant, it was not a party. The whole place was as busy as any five restaurant would, with customers eating and drinking quietly.
A waiter came to us.
“Welcome ma’am, please follow me.” She made a bow before leading the way.
I stared at Rebecca questioning, but she bluntly ignored my stare, I scoffed disbelieved.
I followed them, we were led to the VIP section. This part of the restaurant, unlike the regular section, was empty and quiet, nobody in sight.
The waiter opened a door leading to the rooftop, and I was left stunned. The entire place was adored with white flowers, the floor also covered in white petals. It’s like walking into paradise, the light brightening every single part of the rooftop.
MARRY ME.
It was glowing behind Marco, who’s already on his knees. I have imagined a million ways of what my proposal will look like, but this just topped it all.
I have never dreamt of this, being taken to another country and getting proposed to in a fairy tale romantic way.
I didn’t wait for him to pop the question, I raced to him and hugged him.
“Of course, I will marry you.” I squeal, not bothering to restraint myself. I wanted to scream out my feelings.
“Thank you, baby. I promise to protect and love you and our baby. I will be your shield, love and cherish. You should be aware that you come first in my life before anything else.” Marco announced, shocking me, he placed his hand on my stomach softly.
He’s already aware, I was worrying for no reason.
Marco slipped the ring on my finger, and pulled me into a mind-blowing kiss. I poured every single bit of emotion I was feeling into the kiss, letting him know that I trust and love him.
He also did the same, holding me tightly in his arms. There were no words needed to be shared, our emotions speaking for us what our heart is saying.
Lost in our own little world.
I couldn’t ask anything more, I am grateful for having him in my life. I know with him like will be beautiful, as long as our heart still beat, our love will flourish.
