“You picked the wrong person to work with, Pierre.” I threw at him.
He just finished the call with the mastermind behind this whole stunt. Pierre is just a scapegoat for the mastermind, if he succeeds with the plan he will keep him by his side to use in disguise as subordinates.
If he doesn’t succeed, I will kill him, which is a win-win for everybody.
“What do you mean.” Pierre glares at me, his stare speaks a lot about his intention of wanting to see me dead.
I laughed, waving him off. He’s not my problem, and I won’t definitely won’t harm him. Yet, not until his partner gets here, no one crosses me and go unscathed.
“Do you really think he’s going to help claim your position?” I ask him absent-mindedly.
“You don’t know anything.” He hissed.
“Oh? I don’t know anything, but I do know he’s just using you.” I took a sip from his glass of alcohol.
“Cheap drinks.” I commented, a few minutes ago he was sitting high and mighty on this chair. Gulping the alcohol down his throat, when he thought he has won.
“I could waste you right now, and he won’t give a fuck about you. You will be completely erased from the surface of the earth, with his help because he will be clearing all evidence.” I don’t usually have this prep talk with my preys, I just felt like telling him where he went wrong in this business.
Trust, trusting someone apart from yourself.
“I know what you’re doing, trying to guilty trip me and I would regret my actions. But I don’t regret any part of it, I would do all over again.” I nod at his bravery, for someone’s whose death is at his doorstep, he certainly does have some guts left.
“And for the record, I know everything between you, your father, him and your brother. Let’s just say I know a little too much about you, and some credit goes to this woman sitting beside me.” I nod to his paled face.
It’s like he has seen a ghost.
‘Re… Rebecca?” He stuttered, this got to him. He wanted to use Rebecca against to me, what he didn’t know is my eyes and ears were everywhere.
I am aware of his every move, using Rebecca to trap him was easy.
“You snitch.” He growls angrily at Rebecca, who just laugh him off.
“You honestly think I would betray Marco for the little information you thought you have about me? Stupid.” Rebecca calmly told him.
“I should have known better that than to trust you, slut.” He spat out.
Rebecca only laugh at his insult.
“You’re already dead the second you made an enemy of Marco.” Rebecca shook her head.
“Rebecca, it’s about to get bloody. Go get Zoey away from here, she has refused to leave.” Stubborn woman, she will kill me off one day with her stubbornness.
“Ok, hope you will be fine.” She asked concerned.
I nod at her.

Matthew went back inside after instructing the driver to take us home. I pleaded with the driver not to take home, I couldn’t bring myself to leave him alone.
I am scared beyond words.
We have been in difficult and dangerous situations before, but this one is different and more dangerous. This is a complete plot, for Marco to ask me to leave without him only shows how dangerous it is.
I fear for how dangerous the situation.
“Zoey, are you alright?” Camila called me out of my fear grip thoughts.
“Yeah, you?”
“I’m scared.” She confessed. I was a bit taken aback, I knew she was just trying to be brave and strong when we were being held hostage. But her saying out loud is another thing.
“Me too, I don’t want anything bad to happen to Marco.” Isabella cuts in.
“Nothing will happen to him, I promise. That’s why we are still here, to offer help in any way we can if necessary, right?” I try my best to smooth the tension.
They nodded to what I said, visibly shaking in cold shivers. I have to conceal my fear and be brave for them.
“We know how strong Marco is, yes?” They nod again. “And how deadly he is with guns and knives, we should be scared for those who cross paths with Marco instead, not the other way around.”
There’s a knock on the window, it was dim outside so I couldn’t see completely how it was. Camila and Isabella drew closer, thinking the worst of whoever was on the other side.
“It’s ma’am Rebecca, Donna.” The driver informed.
Rebecca? What is she doing here? She has the guts to show her face in front of me after her betray?
