Looking Around In Confusion

POV: Miguel
“I should have known that I could never sneak around your building while you were around.” I responded coyly, smirking at him.
“Yeah, you should have.” He scoffed back at me, his back still leaning on the tree up ahead.
“What gave me away, your cameras or guards?” I asked him, earning a chuckle.
“Are you fucking kidding me right now?
Do you fucking know who you are?;” he asked, more like yelling at me actually. I looked at him curiously, wondering what he was talking about.
“Wow!
Just wow!” He chuckled once more, shaking his head pitifully.
“Well, since you obviously do not know who you are, I guess a history lesson is in order, asshole!” he cursed at me, glaring daggers at me.
“You are Miguel Myers, the only child of the Myers family and heir to the Myers empire. Your family is the richest family in this city, your ancestors lived in this city, they practically built this city from the ground. You own stocks and bonds in every bank in this city, you control half of the businesses in this city, and control the seaport as well.
Your family relocated many years ago after the tragic death of your twin sister. Your absence is the reason the Hawkins rose to power and control the businesses in this city. Should I continue?” He asked me, his stern gaze fixed on me.
“My sister is not dead!” I responded fiercely, ignoring all the other things he had just said.
“What?” he asked in confusion, not understanding what I was talking about.
“I asked you to correct your statement because my sister is not dead. She is missing, not dead. You can’t go about telling people that the Myers only have one child. We are two kids born in the Myers family, two kids and not one, okay?!” I asked him furiously, cautioning him on his rude talk about my sister.
“Are you fucking insane, Miguel?
Do I look like I care about your sister’s life, right now?
I fucking asked you a question, and all I need are answers to my fucking questions. You can’t walk back into this city for no reason, I want to know why you are here in this city, and what the fuck are you doing in my house?” he asked me.
“And just so you know, I knew the moment you landed in this city, I was informed about your arrival the minute your plane touched down. There is no way a man of your caliber will sneak in and out of my city without my knowledge. Your reputation precedes you, Miguel, everyone with a name in this city knows you are in town. Hell, I even went to pick you up at the airport to offer you some courtesy as my former business partner.
You know, when I was told you had been picked up by some friends of your family, I was actually disappointed because I considered myself a friend and business partner of your family. Who would have thought that you were right here in my house, sneaking around like a common thief. ” he spat out in disgust, his face twisted in rage.
“I will not respond to any of your insults or accusations until you correct your mistake and admit that I have a sister and she is somewhere in this city.” I repeated firmly, sticking to my earlier request. He gazed at me as if I was crazy, but I didn’t budge, and I stared back at him, fixing him a stern gaze.
“You know, I heard you were looking for your long lost sister, I also heard you put a reward on her just to get people to help you find her. I actually thought you were just doing it to ease your mom’s troubled heart and put smiles on her face again. So you actually believe you are going to find her, you think she is still alive after so many years?” he asked in surprise, looking at me as if I were crazy.
“You are a special kind of crazy, Miguel. You are more stupid than I ever thought!
Hold on a minute, is that why you were caught hanging around my girl?” he laughed, making me look stupid.
“Don’t make jokes about my problems, Dominic, I won’t take that from you or anyone else. There is a limit to what I can take from you, asshole!
You should know your boundaries and stick to them, I won’t repeat myself!” I warned him sternly, glaring at him. He raised his hand in mock surrender, laughing at me. He looks to be in a good mood because he is not making a fuss about my secret visit to his house. I wonder why he is not talking about it, it’s never a good sign when he acts nice to someone, there is always a catch and I’m not sure I’m ready to deal with his tricks right now.
“Why don’t you come inside for a minute, Miguel. I’m sure we have some catching up to do, there is so much we need to talk about.” He said casually, watching me closely for my reaction. I knew he wanted something, he would not let me off easily if he didn’t want something from me. If it wasn’t for my family’s wealth, there is no way I would have gotten out of this place alive.
I should have guessed his motives the moment I saw him waiting patiently for me with no guards and no weapons. If this were someone else, he would not have been here waiting so patiently. He would not have been standing there waiting for me as if we were besties. His guards would have been chasing me around with heavily loaded weapons. I would never have gotten away with my life, that’s certain.
“Let us not beat around the bush, Dominic Morrell. I know you, I know how this works. You caught me sneaking around your property and now you want something in return. Tell me exactly what you want and let’s get this over with.” I told him firmly, my eyes fixed on him. He smiled crookedly, stroking his beard as he thought about my request.
“I like you, Miguel. I’ve always known that you are smart. I wonder why you act like a fucking dummy sometimes. But that’s okay, I can work with that. I just need you to cease all business operations with the imposter who thinks he has stolen my title and territory. I need you to cut off Carlos Gonzalez and strip him off everything he owns. Without your support, he is nothing more than a street urchin. So get off his back and let him face me without you or Raphael backing him up.” He demanded.
“What the hell are you talking about, are you accusing me of something,” I asked in confusion, eyeing him suspiciously. He smiled crookedly, putting his hand in his pocket as he took some steps in my direction, keeping his eyes fixed on mine.
“To think that I just called you smart and you decided to showcase your stupidity yet again. Do not tell me that you are not aware of your connection to the underground in this city, don’t tell me you don’t know how you all fund that idiot’s lifestyle, are you not aware?” he asked me angrily as I kept staring at him In confusion.
