“Furious!”
That’s how I feel as she stands in front of me, rubbing it in my face that she has the Alpha all to herself and there is nothing I can do about it.
“If you are done being stupid, you can get the hell out of my face, I got work to do. Or would you rather fuck him in the boardroom while we have our meeting?
I could help sneak you into the boardroom, you could hide under the table and suck his fucking dick while he negotiates this deal with our biggest investors. You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” I asked in an icy tone that does nothing to hide my jealousy. She sneered at me and smirked evilly as she leans her face forward to whisper to my hearing,
“Don’t stress yourself, sweetheart, I’ve got it all covered. This is just a short break, you know. My baby asked me to go to the cafeteria and order myself a pretty delicious lunch so I can eat and replenish my energy. After lunch, I’m coming right back to wait for him in his office so we can continue from where we stopped.
After his meeting, he’ll come back to me, and I’ll be right there in his office, waiting patiently. I’ll be in my sexy lingerie, lying on his table with my legs spread wide to show him just how wet I am. But in the meantime, I’ll keep myself busy while I wait for him. And guess what I’ll be doing while I wait,” she asked.
“I’ll be fucking my brother, right on his damn table!” she lets out smugly, trying so hard to infuriate me. She won’t do it, I know she won’t even dare because of the cameras in the building. I’m not sure if there is a camera in his office, but I’m sure she wouldn’t want to risk it because Maverick has an override code for all the security systems in this company. He would definitely find out and I know she wouldn’t want that, do it’s certain that she is simply pushing me, trying to get me to break the rules and attack her.
And she would have succeeded…
I was so close to losing it, my fist was folded so tightly that I could feel my nails digging into my flesh as I glared at her furiously. Just as I was contemplating how I would scratch her eyes out with my claws, his door swung open, and he stepped out of his office, looking so clean and fresh. It’s obvious that he just showered in his office, and damn, he looks so cute and delicious. I didn’t know I was ogling him and licking my lips as be walked over to my cubicle, smiling widely. I was so lost in thought as I imagined that he was smiling for me and not her. I was brought back to reality by a jab to my ribs as Cameron elbowed me in the ribs, whilst still smiling at him as he approached us.
“He’s mine!” she turned and mouthed at me through gritted teeth before turning back to him. While I nursed the pain she had just caused me, She threw herself in his arms and he kissed her passionately before urging her towards the hallway, spanking her ass, and reminding her to come right back after lunch. Then he turned to me and wiped off the smile from his face,
“Have the rest of the team meet me in the boardroom, and bring my files with you!” he ordered sternly before turning to walk towards the boardroom. I sneered at his rudeness, then I flopped on my seat and picked up the telephone to call in the rest of the team as he instructed. I told them the meeting is about to start and the boss was in the office already. I sounded urgent on the phone while instructing them to hurry to the boardroom. You’d think that I would hurry to the boardroom as well. But no, I sat on my seat like a boss, and I pushed my seat into a reclining position, pressing my phone to kill some time. I know this meeting is important to him and his family’s business, but I can’t think of any other way to annoy him right now.
Don’t give me that look, please…
You saw him kissing that whore right in front of me, while I stood there and inhaled the lovely aroma from his shampoo, wishing he would at least look at me the way he looks at her. They said he was forced to be with her, but he screws her as if his life depended on it. He is having such a good time with her, yet he would let me associate with any of my friends, not even the female ones. You have to agree with me that he deserves to be punished for putting me through so much torture and heartache he has put me through. He finds different reasons to punish me in different ways. The least you can do is side with me on this one because he sure deserves it.
I sat there for almost an hour, tapping relentlessly on my phone, playing my favorite game, candy crush. I saw his calls coming in, but I ignored him completely, he can fire me for all I fucking care. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to sabotage him, I mean, I don’t want him to lose this deal. The aim has never been sabotage, I simply want to antagonize him, the same way he oppresses me whenever he chooses to. And I’m going to make sure he doesn’t have an ounce of energy left in him after this meeting. I would love to see him screw her after I deal with him at this meeting.
I have the files containing his presentation and documents that the two parties need to sign today. So I’m practically delaying everyone in that hall, and there is absolutely no way he can leave that boardroom to come back here and get me, that would arouse a lot of suspicions. His investors may think that he is not serious about this business collaboration and that would cost him this deal. He is stuck in that office while I’m here chilling like a boss. Every few minutes, I would look up at the camera on the wall and ill smile at the camera just to prove to him that I’m doing this on purpose.
“Valerie, this is not a joke. You need to come here right now!!!”
“Damn you bitch!
I’m going to murder you, I’ll fucking strangle you to death!”

Get your ass up here!
What the hell is wrong with you, do you know how important this meeting is?”
“You’re dead bitch. You are so fucking dead!” I chuckled as he kept calling and texting me repeatedly, but I ignored them all.

Who knew revenge could be so satisfying?
I felt ecstatic as I finally decided to go for the meeting after wasting more than one hour of his precious time. I was informed by one of the interns that he decided to begin without me. He had sent her to get more wine for his guest and she decided to stop by and tell me how livid the boss is, she advised me to run out of the building before he meets me there because he looks as if he is about to murder someone. I thought she was exaggerating, but when I walked into that boardroom, I realized that she wasn’t lying, he looks so terrifying and angry. I’ve never seen him this furious since I met him.
He was giving a presentation even I walked in, and I thought he would ignore me when I walked in, but he paused his speech and stormed towards me, his feet stomping on the floor in rage. I don’t know what he would have done to me, I don’t know if he was going to hurt me in front of his guests and embarrass me. I stood in the same spot, scared as hell, wondering where all the courage I had a few minutes ago had run to. I would have fallen to the floor to beg for mercy, but we both stopped when we heard someone calling my name in the boardroom.
“Val?
Valerie Keller?” he called out in shock as he stood up from his couch and walked towards me excitedly. I turned in his direction, trying to understand what is going on. Maverick did the same thing, he stood on the spot, gazing at the guy in astonishment. It took me a few minutes before I realized who it was.
“Liam!” I screamed excitedly as I ran into his arms. He hugged me firmly and pulled me off the floor, twirling me in his arms like a baby. I can’t believe that the investors that Maverick holds in high esteem would turn out to be Liam and his father. My own Liam. He had been there for me when all my family wished me dead. He helped me escape death at the hands of my foster family t Lakewood city. Without him, I wouldn’t have been able to leave the city the way I did. The money he gave me had been my saving grace when I first got to this city. I owe him my life, and I know it’s a debt I was going to pay someday, but I don’t want to risk getting caught by my parents.
If I didn’t sever all ties with him, I could be trailed to Woodbridge and my life would be over before it even begins. I stayed in his arms as he held me tightly, refusing to let go again. He pushed my hair to the back of my hair and kissed my forehead repeatedly as I sobbed in his arms while thinking about the good things he did for me. I feel so guilty right now, and I felt the tears slipping down my cheeks as he held me tight. You would think that I’m a fragile little doll that needs to be prepared. I never even knew that I lacked love and attention until now. I didn’t miss him all these years because I had my friends and I enjoyed my former job. But as he held me close to his heart right now, I felt desired once more and I realized just how much I miss him.
“Where the hell have you been, my love, why didn’t you call me as I asked you to?
I searched everywhere for you, Val. I waited for you as I promised, and I never dated another girl because no one could ever replace you in my heart. Why didn’t you call me, was it something I did, was it something I said?
Why did you give up on our love?” he asked me sadly, making me feel even more guilty. I couldn’t control my tears anymore and I hugged him tighter, letting him know how much I miss him. I wanted to respond to his question, I wanted to assure him that I never meant to be an ungrateful bitch, and that I still care about him a lot.
Before I could open my mouth to respond to him, I heard an angry grunt behind us and I turned to see a furious-looking Alpha looking at us with venomous anger. Initially, he was angry, but this is way worse than before, this is something worse than anger.
Too bad I don’t care about his ego anymore, his feelings don’t mean shit to me. In fact, seeing him this angry is giving me many funny ideas on how to provoke this bastard even more. Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
