Still Drake’s POV
“Get Miles on the phone, send him this location I need him there in thirty minutes. Tell him to take some guys along with him, he may meet some obstacles on the way. But no matter what happens, I need him to make sure he has Danny’s family on sight in the next thirty minutes.” I instructed Liam as we all got into the car to meet with the mob bosses before they get here. It would have been safer to ambush them right here on my property, but I don’t want to attract any attention to myself.
I just got back to this town a few weeks ago, and the last thing I want is for the cops to start digging into my past, trying to find out why I got attacked by mob bosses. They may find out that I have a connection to the Mafia, and with time, I will be exposed as the Godfather and my family would be in danger. Besides, I love this house, I want to create sweet memories with Mia in this house, and not have it blown away by these bastards.
Rosalie had finally told the truth or something close to the truth at least. Just as I thought, she had stolen from him, but this time, she didn’t do it alone. She fucking did it with his stupid son, Aiden. First, she cheated on me with Brad, and then she left Brad and went on to date Danny the Irish mob boss. I was pissed when I found out she is with Danny, but I never made a move against her, and I never tried to get her back because I never really loved her and I felt kind of relieved that she left me the way she did. It took away every guilt and pain that would have come with a normal breakup.
But now, she is telling me a totally different story altogether. She claimed that she had left me and Bradley because she fell in love with Danny’s first son and heir to the Irish crew, Aidan. She claimed it was true love, and they both planned to elope to another country and start building a family together because the Irishmen are a bunch of traditionalists. They would never let him marry her because she is not one of them, she is not an Irishwoman. They have these strict laws and they always live by their laws, the elders would never let them marry or have children with a woman outside their community.
Even Danny cannot break the rules that govern his people, they may turn against him and hang him for his treacherous acts. They can fuck whores outside, and they can screw any girl out there, but they can never bring her in as a wife, and they can not have kids with a girl out there. Those are their rules, and they strictly live by those laws. People think they are preserving their cultures and heritage, but to me, they are just a bunch of weirdos.
That is why they decided to elope and live their lives in peace. I’m guessing that she was right when she said it was true love, I mean, if Aiden did not love her, he would not give up his position as next in line to the mob boss. They wanted to leave, But Aidan refused to leave without having enough money to get a crew for himself. So they cooked up a plan to swindle the Irish mob boss, Aiden’s father, Danny. That was why she got into a relationship with him, she was trying to help Aiden to steal his father’s money.
But they were too stupid and greedy. That was why they got caught by Danny. She claimed they were betrayed by someone they trusted with their secret, but I know better than to believe that. I know they got greedy, and that is why they got caught. I checked her foreign Swiss account, and I saw over five hundred million dollars that were wired into her account from Danny’s bank. That was their first loot, and they would have been pretty okay if they just left with it, but Danny opened another Swiss account in his name and they stayed back to steal more money…
And they were fucking caught by Danny because of their greed. They got locked in the dungeon by the Irishmen and they fixed a date to execute them both. Aiden’s brother, Connor refused to sit back and watch him die, so he made arrangements to help him escape, but Aiden refused to go without Rosalie. When they came to set him free, he traded places with her, and she escape with her life. But he couldn’t get out alive, he was hanged the next day, and Danny couldn’t do anything about it. He sat there and watched his son die because he felt he deserves to die for betraying his family.
He couldn’t bear the guilt, he couldn’t accept the fact that Rosalie had escaped while his son was killed. He blames her for his son’s death, and he is after her because he wants to take revenge for the death of his son. Well, at least that is what he tells people who care to listen to his sob story. Or maybe he even believes his lies, but I don’t think for one moment that he is chasing after her because of his son’s death. I think he simply wants to get his money back, and he probably wants to appease his bruised ego. She left him for his son, and that hurt him. So he wants payback.
He is stupid!
And not just that, but he is also a hypocrite. He sat there and let his son get executed for crimes that he is also guilty of committing. I found out a few years ago that he has a family outside their community. He hides them from everyone, even his people. He knows that they would kill him for it so he keeps it a secret. I wanted to use this information against him during our last encounter, but we found a better alternative, so I let him be because I don’t care about his personal life. He can fuck every girl in the world and have kids with them and I won’t even care.
But watching his first son die, when he could have helped him escape is just a turn-off for me. I would never have helped Rosalie, she deserves anything that comes to her because she is a worthless, thieving whore. But I won’t let her die for this, not after a young man just died to set her free. At least she deserves a second chance, after all, she was doing it for love this time. The least I could do is to see her out of this one, for old time’s sake.
And as for Danny, he needs to be put in his place. I can’t believe that he let his son die for planning to elope with a girl he loves. They claim he broke the rules by planning to marry an outsider, but Danny married an outsider, and he has kids with an outsider. If this is not hypocrisy, if this is not barbaric, then I don’t know what is. But I’m damn sure that he would never dare to hurt Rosalie, not when she has run to me for protection.
He even dared to team u with that green snake that threatened my family, can you believe that?
Well, he is in for a shocker!
I’ve ordered Miles to get some boys and go over to his private estate where he hides his second wife and kids. I’m surprised that his traditional family has not found out about his secret family, they must be so naive and stupid I guess. He sends every waking hour with his other family, I heard his other wife is a supermodel, but that’s not the point I’m trying to make. My point is that, how on earth will they claim to be ignorant of his crimes, when they know that he never stays in their community, he spends all his time in his private estate with those people. What lies did he tell them to make them believe that he has no connection to that ex-model and her kids. It’s either he is just the best liar ever, or his damn family is too stupid to see the truth that is staring them in the fucking face!
For his sake, I hope he doesn’t provoke me too much, he had better turn around and he’d back home, or ill make him regret every decision he had ever made in his life. I’ll have him stripped of his title and thrown out like a fucking nobody!
I got confirmation that Miles was there already, so I had confidence in myself as we approached the two crews. We parked a few miles from them, blocking their oaths with our cars. They were forced to step down from their cars and confront us. I sat on the trunk of my SUV with a bottle of scotch in my hand, watching as they approached us, with their guns fully loaded, ready for a gunfight if the need arises. I couldn’t help laughing within me as they approached me with confidence. I came with just three SUVs, I guess they must be thinking that they can take me down easily.

“Howdy, guy….
Care for a drink?” I asked mockingly, offering them my bottle of Scotch. I laughed so hard when they sneered at me in disgust, this is so hilarious. They have no idea that I have my snipers in the woods, they fucking think that they can take me down so easily.

“I have no time to waste on you, Drake Osborne, you disgust me!” Austin sneered in disgust, pointing his gun at me.
“I’m not here to fight you, Drake, just hand over the girl to me and I’ll be on my way home. We don’t have to be to shed blood today, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Your choice.” Danny spoke out fiercely, trying to look tough.
“I have never chosen the easy way out, Danny…
I have never backed down from a fight, I never have and I never will. Meanwhile, I need you to shut the fuck up, Danny. I’ll get back to you in a bit, I need to take care of this scoundrel first.” He was taken aback by my response, and he gazed at me with his mouth wide open. I guess he expected me to cower in fear because my crew is greatly outnumbered by theirs.

I ignored him and turned to the fool who I’m so sure has instigated this attack against me. Danny would never go again at me this way, I’m sure it’s Austin’s idea. He is not doing this to aid Danny, he is doing this for his selfish reasons, and I’m going to make him pay for going against me again. He keeps coming at me, even when I’m trying so hard to avoid him. This time, I’ll let him have a taste of what I’m capable of.
“I warned you not to make this a habit, didn’t I?
I warned you never to cross my path again, but it seems you don’t listen to instructions. I guess you need a little motivation ” I let out with an evil smile, watching him closely. He is scared, I can see it in his eyes, but he is trying to act tough in front of his boys.
“I guys you have looked around you, Drake. You can’t take us all by yourself and your boys are not only outnumbered, but they are also unarmed as well.” He mocked.
“Oh, you think so, don’t you?” I teased, making him look around once more to be sure. I let out a burst of laughter, and it infuriated him even more. Then he turned to his companion, Danny and he gave him the signal to attack. But before they could pull the trigger, their crew started falling down one after the other as bullets came flying in from the woods around us.
