Two of the brothers of Johnsons were into a committed relationship. Dan and Zayn were having a blast with their life, alongside their beloved other half.
Though not aware of Zayn and Cassandra’s relationship, Alex felt as though he was a villain in the life of the girl he likes. Every time Ravine stopped by and bonded closely with the others as a friend, Alex was out of the picture. Even Louis, the rare Pokemon of the household was in her elite friend list.
Her friend list consisted of only them, we can suppose.
However, things were going all too differently in Ravine’s house.
She had become a villain to her household.
The esteemed black sheep.
As she passed by her parents who were leaving for yet another meeting with priests and company owners, Ravine coldly glares behind them before going to her room.
She checks her phone after reaching her bed, removing her heels and pressing her ankle to release tension.
“Why is he texting me for?” She didn’t want to check his messages. They would be bland sorry’s anyway. Ignoring his texts, adding it upto the hundredth one from a month, she makes his desperate for what he was about to do.
At night after she’s finished her dinner, she gets a call from Alex.
“Hey,” She hears his voice.
“What do you want?” Her cold self replies.
“I- I just want you to know that I’m super sorry for what I did to you. Please, Ravine. Let’s start over-” Ravine cuts the call between his lines of apology and resilience.
“Bitch ass.” Switching her phone off, she goes to sleep for the next day.
At the Johnson siblings residence, Alex turns to a frightening figure sat on the arm chair of the couch. In fact, all the brothers were staring at him with disappointment in their eyes.
“How far did you even go that that sweet girl isn’t willing to forgive you?” Framton, surprised that his sons were capable of such acts, asks Alex.
“Dad…” he begins to explain everything clearly.
Framton look at Louis after Alex tells them everything again, Framton getting to hear his side of story for the first time.
“I understand. But did Cassandra ask you to take revenge on Ravine on her behalf?” Framton asks, spinning the glass of whiskey in his hand. Alex rubs his hands on his face.
“I thought I was-” the rolled newspaper in her hand collides with his hair. He was defeated with purpose. His head hangs low even after being hit by her.
“You don’t think in those situations Alex. I didn’t tell you or order you to make her life a hell, right? I feel so bad for her. Do you even know how much courage she needed to become friends with me? Coming home to the friend whose brother practically assaulted her?”
Framton raises his hand up in defense, “Now, now Cassandra. Don’t need to go that far. But what she said is right, son. Ravine is the sweetest girl I’ve seen. I can’t imagine the tremendous pressure she must feel everyday to be controlled by her family, her brother, her friend and eventually, you. Everyday for six months.”
“Two years of bullying adds.” Cassandra makes a side comment.
“That too.” Alex sighs again, rubbing his hands on his face.
“What do I do now, dad? I want her in my life. I need her now.” Alex almost cries, showing vulnerability for the first time.
“Hey,” Cassandra embraces him. Nick scoots aside so their father could console the male.
“What’s done is done. Look at your sister, Alex. She’s so strong and resilient, isn’t it?” He boops her nose amidst the situation.
“Learn from her, right? They say if you try to become a better version of yourself, things automatically deliver themselves at your doorstep. It’s neither the good or the bad which receives opportunities. It’s for the trying, trying only.” Framton says.
“I’ll try…” Alex utters after sobbing for a minute.
“That’s my boy.” Framton gently pats his son and embraces him closely. Cassandra watches them in awe. Their relationship with their father was so happy and healthy.
“Great. Now what do you wanna do next?” Says Cassandra, giving him ideas.
“Maybe jump into her room?” Framton widens his eyes at Louis who suggests such a thing.
“What if her parents are home, Louis? Don’t give him ideas.”
“Sorry dad, but we’re just that way.” Saying, Louis quickly runs out of the house with all the boys pushing and encouraging Alex to follow Louis’s stupid plan. The neighborhood soon is filled with boyish aura and Cassandra was responsible for holding Framton back.
“Cassandra they-”
“Let them be served for madness, papa. Leave them be.” She says, resting on his arm as they stand against the doorstep. Louis revs the engine of his Land Rover as they teasingly wave at Framton, exiting the parking space.
“You all did grow up crazy, isn’t it?”
Cassandra’s giant smile was an answer for him.
Hooting and howling at night, the sibling group break a dozen traffic rules with the confidence that Louis will manage everything on his own. In the backseat, Zayn and Nick were responsible for making Alex tipsy enough to make him obey their words.
Louis quickly reaches Ravine’s neighborhood, parking against the side of the front yard.
“Okay boys, push him out.”
“No, wait-!” Before Alex could protest, Zayn climbs down the car and pulls Alex out. Making the boy sit on the lawn, Zayn crazily sprints back into the car as Louis drives off at a speed.
Alex, in an attempt to chase them with his powerful legs felt a tug in his heart.
He was contemplating having such pushy siblings. But, he understood their motive as well.
They wanted to see him happy.
They wanted to see him chase his dreams and his love interest.
To satisfy them, Alex had no chance to turn around from this mission. But it was as if God has given a chance at redeeming for Alex.
Because when he looks up to the girl throwing paper balls at his head, he felt an overwhelming amount of stress and anxiety. So overwhelming that he felt like passing out.
