You shouldn’t bother about others

Book:The Forbidden Reverse Harem Published:2025-2-8

It was as if her whole world was spinning slower than usual. Ravine sees the impact of the news reflecting on Cassandra. She runs behind her friend, worried about her emotional status. Cassandra quickly recognizes Kris to be one of Nick’s friends. They were a little close, they talked often and she knows it.
Having been told that the boys have been arrested and Ms. Grace was sent away to a Psychiatric ward for relapse treatment, she changed her course of direction to Nick.
She interrupts the teacher who was talking about the current event actually, calling her brother out.
“What is it?” Nick adjusts his spectacles and asks her. Ravine was at the corner, making sure no one would raise any stupid questions or walk into their conversation.
“Nick, I know Kris was one of your guys. Why couldn’t you stop this-”
“So what?” Nick cuts her off. Seeing Nick act so coldly, Cassandra furrows her eyebrows.
“What did you just say?” Ravine turns around to see Cassandra firing up.
“Did you just think it was- oh my God, why am I even talking to you?” Nick shrugs his shoulders and walks back into his class.
“Ravine, drive me to Louis. Right now, please.” She asks.
“I think James has the keys-”
“There he is!” Pointing behind her, they see James Lee in a heated discussion with the council members, probably proceeding to represent a disciplinary action to be taken against Kris’s family who is closely associated with James Lee’s mother.
“James. Car keys, please.” Ravine holds his hand and asks.
“What are you in a hurry for?” James Lee knew better to keep their conversation private. The sneaky teachers and other student council members with him were dying to know what the Johnson was about to do. Anything associated with the Johnsons now was a bug news they wouldn’t want to let go.
“Be careful while driving.”
“Yeah. And you too, don’t get fired up.” Ravine hesitantly pats his shoulder and leaves. Cassandra witnesses the rare sight of the step-siblings trying to care for each other. She guessed that it is natural to happen to care for someone who shares a roof to live.
Ravine and Cassandra climb aboard while Ravine races through the traffic to reach the heart of the city, towards Louis to let him know.
“Young miss!” The receptionist calls as she sprints behind Cassandra as well.
“Where is Louis?”
“Ma’am, I am afraid he is at the meeting. He must not be disturbed-” Cassandra deliberately ignores the receptionist and races down the hallway to reach the special lift to reach the topmost floor.
As the door opens, a pissed Louis is met.
“Who the fuck- Cassie?” Ravine was baffled at the acquaintance that happens.
“Louis, we gotta talk. Have a moment?”
“Yeah, sure. Is it very important?” he asks as the door closes and they begin riding up the floors again. Cassandra pulls him inside as the confused male opens his phone on command. He sees the atrocities going on campus. He was concerned as well.
“Your dance teacher, is it?” he asks, placing the phone down.
“Yes. She needs psychiatric help, but I know she can not afford it in the state that she is in right now.”
“So you wanna be her hero?” she furrows her eyebrows.
“Well, I mean yeah. She’s been very sweet to me-” Louis stands up and Cassandra is cut off from her words.
“Cassie, I don’t think you understand the depth of this situation. If we as Johnsons so as much participate in this shit show, we will be dragged by so many. I need you to look from our perspective as well.” says Louis, trying to make her understand softly and gently.
“What do you mean, Louis? You just wanna let her suffer? She’s been the sweetest, goddammit!” Sensing a storm incoming, Ravine allows herself to leave the room quite immediately. Leaving the siblings to argue.
“Cassie, calm down. I know it’s tough as a Johnson, but don’t waste my time with this. I got an international meeting right now.” Saying, Louis tries to leave when Cassandra mindlessly mumbles.
“Why is everyone behaving so weird today?”
Louis slowly turns around at her words.
“Maybe it’s you, Cassie. You’ve been behaving out of your character for the past few months. Don’t think we haven’t noticed anything.” As Louis leaves, Cassandra widens her eyes.
So this was how the rich handled things when in crisis.
She had a negative image of the Johnsons now.
However, it seems to her that leaving the issue to the world to solve was a better thing to do.
“Are you okay?” Ravine approaches Cassandra, having heard a little of their conversation. She enters as Louis leaves sternly.
“Yeah… Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just annoyed with how we rich people handle… well, let me forget everything about today. Still up for a hang out with me?”
“Sure…”
Ravine and Cassandra head back to the Johnson sibling’s house. Cassandra offers some snacks to the girl as they munch and watch some TV while talking about everything and anything interesting happening at Jugo League.
“Hey,” Ravine calls out.
“Yeah?”
“What do you feel about me and Alex dating for real? You know it’s been just flings for now.” Ravine asks a piece of her mind about her and Alex dating for real this time. She was willing to forgive Alex for his doing. It should be a balance, she thought.
She was responsible for Cassandra crying at night many times. She used to bully the girl alongside Darla for two years straight. It was only right that Alex keot punishing her.
“You wanna date that scum bag?” Cassandra’s bold words make Ravine’s eyebrows leap in astonishment.
“I mean… What makes you call him that?” Ravine asks Cassandra.
“Take it from me,” Cassandra pops a few popcorns as she speaks, “Alex cannot love a woman. All he is obsessed with is his football and his team. He may be a good brother but take it from me, he cannot express himself. If there was anything that would make him love you, I am searching for it as well.
You two certainly make a good pair.” says Cassandra.
Although, Alex and the others who just came home listen to the two girls and their conversation. They look at Alex who then turns back around to disappear.
Because Cassandra was right.
Alex cannot love a woman righteously.
