“Have some egg rolls. My chef cooks it really good.” The caring boyfriend offers her his lunch box. The two were partially busy correcting papers for their class. The slip test was actually included in the marks too.
“No, I’m good. You have a chef?” Cassandra asks sweetly, feeding him her own sandwich. The male nods, smiling. “I’m so plump and healthy because of her.”
“No. I’m worried.” Her words makes his eyebrows come closer, “I thought your mom would make you food. My mom always makes my lunch boxes. If not, Louis can. He’s a good chef.” Says the 17 year old.
Out of the blue, Zayn couldn’t chew properly nor let it go down his throat. His bitter smile makes her realize she went too far with her comparison.
“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to-”
“No. I’m actually happy that you have people around you to make lunch. It gives me assurance that someone truly loves you. Cares for you.” He says, stroking her hair softly. The girl felt absolutely careless about her own self. She shouldn’t have spoken about her lunchbox nor who makes them. She was now feeling guilty.
“Baby I-”
“Cassie, it’s fine. I know you’re concerned about my family and me.” He says. Cassandra was shocked because he guessed her intentions correctly.
“I just wanna be of some help. I know you’re always gloomy and sad here.” Says the girl.
“Oh you worry rat. Don’t be. You don’t have a reason to be sad for me, okay? I’m living my life and I’m happier now that you’re mine. Well, I wanted to ask if you’re going to the camp too.” Says the homeroom teacher.
“Oh that! I asked mom. But Louis is convincing mom on sending me so… let’s expect the worst.” Says the girl, giggling.
“Alright. But as a homeroom teacher, I have to go.” He says.
“I understand, sir.” She teases him by calling him sir, even if they were alone. Shaking his head with a smile, he finishes his lunch and soon she does too. Somehow, Zayn didn’t like how little she eats.
“One slice of bread and some veggies. That’s it?” He asks her.
“Yeah?” She answers slowly, packing her kit. Knowing she was to be nagged by her caring boyfriend, she quickly slips through his arms and runs away.
“Happy lunch, sir!” Yelling, she dashes off like a guilty criminal.
“That girl…” he sighs behind her.
She was already running in the corridors when a group of boys come in front of her view. Here breaks weren’t working at that time. She dashes into them, making one of them fall on the ground and she falling backwards as an impact.
“Sorry!” She adjusts her spectacles which fell off her face.
“The hell!?” Her eyes widen. The voice felt familiar. It was none other than her best friend’s Mortal enemy.
Story time!
Three months ago when poor Ravine was at her peak and enjoyed the company of males very often, she grew a liking upon a certain boy.
He was a cozy person. He was into sports, had a good physique and most of all rocked her world unlike other men or boys.
Out of the blue, Ravine confidently went and proposed to the boy whilst he was in the middle of the field. The PT sir who pleasured with Ravine was right there. The guy felt disgusted and rejected her on her face. Only God knows what happened to her feelings towards him after, but one thing was for sure.
The new Ravine was because of him.
He was the reason why Ravine now stands out in a crowd of people, proud of everything that she is.
He was…
“Alex!” Cassandra as well as the boy’s friends yell his name. Instead of helping the girl up, out of manners and courtesy, they were only concerned for their friend and team captain. The girl adjusts her spectacles and pushes his chest, growling.
“Ugh god! My knee is scraped ’cause of you!” She sneers like an angry cat. Alex looks at her, realising it was that girl’s best friend. He gives her smug look, walking closer towards her and holding her chin.
“Maybe Suck my dick for a while. They say having sex heals everything. Didn’t your friend tell you how good I am in bed, darling?” He says. The girl was boiling in anger.
Leave about herself. How dare he bring Ravine and ruin her name over and over again as though the previous times weren’t enough?
Cassandra could barely control herself. She wanted to throw a punch at the male, but knowing her meek figure wouldn’t do any justice, she holds back.
Until…
“Hey, where ya’ going-”
A hard punch goes square through his jaw. Cassandra’s swing was so hard that Alex almost spun mid air before falling on his feet. Her bones were built for nothing as she smirks at him, spitting on him out of robust anger.
“You fail yourself to be human. Punk.” She curses at him, but soon his berserk friend’s start attacking the little girl. Scared out of her wits, she calls for help. But… no one comes to aid.
Seeing that, concluding in mere seconds that she was about to be harmed in public, she loses all hope.
“Stop it, what the fuck!?” A loud manly voice interferes. It was Zayn who steps in as a teacher to deal with the crisis.
“What the fuck is going on-” He freezes once he sees Cassandra in the position of being beaten up by two boys. He loses his temper for good gold reason.
“Who did this?” He asks, like the calm before the storm. Upon no one answering and only Cassandra’s shaking, shudder filled sobs reach his ears, he thunders like the devil.
“A-Alex, sir. And his friends.” One of the witnesses says. She shouldn’t have opened her mouth. Zayn glares at her and goes, “I rather wish you were in her position and she was watching at you like you did to her. Useless wretches. Fuck off! Go to your classes! All of you!” Cassandra shakes at each of his shivers.
She was terrified.
That history will repeat on her like how her best friend endured it.
