Cassandra kept listening to her friend vent for another three hours. She was beginning to feel very bad for her new boyfriend. The man has been stationed in her bathroom for way too long.
Cassandra’s mind was never on Ravine, rather on Zayn and worrying if he was tired or hungry. She wanted to take care of him like her husband, the very thought making her blush at instances.
“Why are you smiling for, asshole?” Ravine brings her back to reality for the umpteenth time today. The sun was setting as well as Cassandra’s amount of patience. She wanted Ravine to go to her house right away for the first time in her life. She wanted her gone.
“Are you even listening to me?” The friend slaps her arm, annoyed by Cassandra’s lack of participation.
“Huh? What?”
“You have the right to disappear from this world. I’m going to the bathroom.” Says Ravine, jumping off the bed and heading towards where their professor was hiding.
“Wait!” Cassandra yells, almost forgetting the souvenir she was hiding inside her bathroom. Ravine would give the worst possible reaction if she finds out. She might even kill Zayn for agreeing to date a minor girl.
But as long as the two are in love and did nothing illegal, they were safe to love each other.
“What now?” Ravine was in her shorts below her uniform skirt, her bra and nothing else to cover her skin. Cassandra also didn’t want her lover to witness another woman half naked again. He maybe able to touch and pleasure himself with other women in the past. But now he must and should remain loyal to her and only her.
“Uh… I have my bad odor thing in my bathroom. You know how I sweat, right.” The girl looks at her friend, her jaw dropped.
“What the fuck are you, oh my God!” Ravine cries, her intensified yelling going out even to Louis as he runs inside the room.
“Ah!” Cassandra covers herself, indeed both were comfortable without any clothes upon their skin. Zayn was having a good laugh within the confines of the ‘smelly’ bathroom.
Once Ravine escapes outside with a Louis who just saw his baby sister almost naked, Cassandra sees the chance to help Zayn escape. She’s hidden his trench coat and the little laptop beg well. Drawing it out of the cupboard- locking the door first- she summons Zayn back outside.
The poor man sits under the open space of the room and takes a deep breath in.
“Smelly clothes, huh? Actually yeah, they were smelly. Especially your panties.” The man says, showing her the stolen garment. The girl widens her eyes and pushes him out of the window.
“Go before mom comes home! Get lost!” She cries. The man chuckles, ready to leave.
“Not before this.” Leaning closer, he steals a passionate kiss from her. The girl almost couldn’t keep up with the pace of her man.
“See you at school tomorrow, baby girl.” He says, squeezing her naked bosoms and jumping out the window. Immediately below was their lawn as he made no contact sound. Kissing his jaw, she waves his goodbye and closes the window before her neighbors witnessed her nakedness.
More specifically, someone would rip the person’s eye out if they saw his girl naked.
Ravine leaves the house by night, ready to face her parents as Cassandra fills up courage in her. Mrs Frapleton, Cassandra and Louis’ mother arrives late at night with a bottle of wine in her hand. Her cheeks were red and it was obvious her work mate dropped her home, again.
Louis and Cassandra look at each other. The sorry state that their family is were none to compare. They loved their mother, but they hated this kind of lifestyle. The siblings only wished their mother was a better person and not fall prey to her vicious work partner’s loanship again.
They can’t sell anything more to repay the debts.
…
Back at Johnson estate, Zayn reaches his parent’s house and enters the huge mansion. He was greeted by the numerous, almost robotic maidens and workers whilst he simply made his way towards his room. Alas, his parents were all set to question the man about his absence.
“Son,” Zayn felt as though even for one day if his parents disappeared, he could have lived his day in peace. “Yes, father?”
This was the Johnson household where children, the only child is forced to call his own parents formality. Societal comfortability of calling parents with cute and easy names were neither accepted nor encouraged. Zayn grew in a calculated environment which made him sick of being alive and lonely.
“Where have you been?” The old man asks his son. His mother appears from behind him, wearing casual jewelery inside the house. Zayn never liked showing off his riches. His job required no such showing off either. He liked being a teacher, but in a downtrodden school like that, he ought to turn it better.
“At a friend’s house for evening snack, father. They had a problem with life, so I wanted to help them out.”
The father smiles.
“Consoling people now, huh? You’ve grown quite diligently, my boy. I think it’s about time you become the CEO now. Stop your tantrums and lead a victorious company, son.” Says the father. Zayn didn’t want his father to smell a girl’s floral scented bathroom out of him. Before his father could approach him to set his tie, he swiftly moves and walks towards his room.
“I will lead your company when I’m prepared for it.” Says the male, running off to his room. The parents say nothing more over the dinner table. It has always been like this. Every dinner was silent at his home.
However, he was outside only once and at his new girlfriend’s home. He liked that silence. He didn’t compare the silence to the one he suffered almost everyday here.
Home was supposed to be a place filled with warmth. But Zayn knew his home would never be warm without someone in his life.
Cassandra has become his new home.
