At Denise’s Apartment
“Dad, Uncle, welcome back,” Daniel shouted when he saw his father and uncle walking in.
He rushed to them and hugged them one after the other. When Denise disengaged him from the hug, he began to imagine the day his baby would do the same thing to him when he returned from work.
Then, he looked at his pregnant wife and smiled in satisfaction.
“Welcome back, Hubby,” Olivia greeted him.

“Thank you. I promised you that I would be back before noon. Here I am,” Denise said and took his seat beside his wife.
“Yes. You kept to your words. Thank you for that.”
“It is my pleasure.”
Freya welcomed her husband before she broached the news that Denise and her husband tried to keep away from her.
“Denise.”
“Yes, Big sister.”
“Did you watch the news yesterday? Did you see how karma had caught up with Uncle Stephen?”
“Yes. I saw it. That will teach him how to respect other people’s freedom.”
“You have said it all.”
“I learned that the government gave him some money to give to the indigents, and he kept it for himself,” Phil chipped in to back up their discussion.
Then, his wife looked at him and screamed, “Oh my God. I am just hearing this side of the story. He is such a disgrace.”
Now, Olivia and Daniel were busy with their piano keyboard. She noticed that he was good with the keyboard and familiar with the notes.
“Daniel,” she called out.
“Yes, Aunty Olivia.”
“Make any good music for me.”
Now, Daniel smiled and adjusted his sitting position; he placed his keyboard on his lap and began to play the Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars, which was one of the basic music for every piano beginner.
The music attracted his parents and uncle’s attention, and they stopped their discussions and focused on him and Olivia. Now, Daniel played with the kind of confidence that was not common with a child or a beginner. His father admired him with a broad smile on his face, which Daniel was not aware of. When he ended the music, his mini-audience applauded him.
“Wow!”
(Clap) (Clap)
Now, Daniel was startled when heard a thunderous clap. He looked up from the keyboard and saw their cheerful faces, which encouraged him.
Then, he smiled before he turned to Olivia and asked her, “Auntie, did I do very well?”
Olivia gave him a peck on his temple and commended, “You did very well, my page boy.”
His audience praised him too, “That is my boy. Come and hug Dad.”
He got up quickly, dropped his piano keyboard on the chair walked briskly to his dad, and hugged him.
“Good boy,” his father remarked.
“Give Uncle a hug, too.”
He hugged him, as well as his mother before he returned to his seat. With the encouragement, he was spurred to do more.
“I can play another music for you,” he faced Olivia and announced excitedly.
“Please do, but I am going to make a video of you. So, you have to put in your best,” Olivia encouraged him.
She stood up and positioned herself to get proper coverage of Daniel, and the mini audience looked on in expectation. Then, Daniel began to play the Hallelujah song, which required more skills than the Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star song because it involved the use of the left hand. This time, he wowed the audience after he played the cord in the left hand and the melody of the song in the right hand.
At the end, another resounding clap and cheering erupted from his mini and joyous audience. He clapped cheerily for himself too, and Olivia stopped the recording.
“Good job, Daniel. Hubby, take a look,” Olivia said and showed her husband the video.
“Wow! This is beautiful. The video is a high definition,” Denise complimented her.
He passed the video on to Phil, who watched it and his wife scooted over to him to take a good look at the video.
Then Olivia inquired, “I will design a website for him if you don’t mind.”
Now, Phil looked at his wife for her opinion.
“Can I have a look at the video, please?” Daniel requested after he waited for his parents to hand over the phone to him.
“Oh, my dear. You can have it,” his mother said and handed over the phone to him.
They watched his countenance as he watched the video.
Then, he exclaimed, “Wow! It is so beautiful.”
Nevertheless, Olivia helped his parents to make up their minds about her question, “This would inspire other children who are interested in piano lessons.”
“You are right. Then go ahead and design the website,” Phil said while his wife nodded.
“He will need a private teacher. Mrs. Fields had laid the foundation for him, the private teacher can continue from where she stopped,” Freya pointed out.,
“It is all right. I will design a website for him immediately.”
Afterward, they had their lunch together. Subsequently, Denise and his wife walked them to the courtyard, and they appreciated them, “Thank you for coming.”
“You are welcome.”
Then, Olivia added, “Daniel, my page boy. See you some other time.”
“Bye Auntie Olivia.”
“Thank you for having us. Bye.” Phil and his wife responded before the family departed.
At Lorene’s Apartment.
After Evelyn left her house, she called her. She looked at her phone to check the person who interrupted her train of thought.
Then, she reluctantly picked up when she saw the caller and greeted her, “Hello, Evelyn.”
“Oh! Lorene, thank you for your patience. My husband delayed my movement. He was called to work because of the explosion that occurred at the resort yesterday. So sorry. We will continue on Monday.”
“It is all right. See you on Monday.”
Now, Evelyn was surprised that she was not angry, rather, she sounded warm.
“Why is she not angry? Or could she have done the same thing I did with Reuben?”
She laughed mischievously, got into her car, and drove off.
“Thank you for allowing me to interact with my future stepchildren,” Lorene said happily to herself when she ended the call with Evelyn.
She picked up her office keys quickly and locked them up. Before she got home, Stephen was resting in her bedroom and pondering over the events of the past two days.
“Could this be a dream? Where were these women when I was searching for the right partner? Getting married to Lorene will be the best decision I will ever make in my life. She will never suspect that I am having an affair with her friend.”
He smiled in satisfaction and tried to turn on the television that had not been turned on since he visited the house. It was off because they did not want any distractions, but he was alone and bored, so he needed to keep himself company with the television. Then, he heard the doorbell ring.

Now, he dropped the remote control and walked to the door to open it.
“I hope it is not another woman,” he thought and observed his dressing.
