The doctor walked out with the speed of a cheetah, like a man who was about to lose a precious son. The problem on the ground had bonded him with Louis beyond the staff and boss relationship. However, he walked to the car park and gave him a call, but to his chagrin, his phone was off.
“Mr. Bailey, please, don’t do what all of us would regret,” he mumbled and rested on the door of his car.
Currently, the couple, who was smiling happily, was ready for photographs with relatives and friends.
“Congratulations. I’m so happy for you, Denise and Olivia,” Mr. And Mrs. McGregor complimented and hugged the couple.
“Thank you, Mom and Dad,” they responded simultaneously.
Thereafter, other family members followed suit in the congratulatory wishes. When they began to pose for photographs, Mr. Bailey inquired, “Where is the best man?”
The other family members who sighted Louis when he walked into the registry began to look around and testified, “I saw him when he walked in.”
“He was here. I saw him.”
“Yes, though he walked in late. But he was around.”
Now, Julie and Freya tensed up because they were certain that they saw him.
“How could he just disappear?” Julie asked in trepidation.
“I am surprised, too. Could he have gone to the gents?” Freya asked, and they walked to the gents which were outside the registry auditorium.
To their consternation, he was not there and they were apprehensive. They attempted calling him, but his phone was switched off.
“What is the meaning of this? How can he switch off his phone on a day like this?” Freya asked dejectedly.
“Kindly keep Denise and Angel out of this. Let this not ruin their day,” Julie advised her.
“Huh! But, where could he be?” Freya inquired again.
All the same, they cheered up and joined the rest in the photography session.
Meanwhile, Denise and Olivia were so happy that they were finally married. They rounded up the photography session, appreciated their guests, and proceeded to their honeymoon.
Then, Arthur and Nichole took their guests for lunch.
Now, Freya and Julie had covered up the worrisome absence of Louis from Denise and Olivia until they left. Then, they assisted their parents in giving the guests a treat.
Meanwhile, Freya’s husband noticed that she was fretting, walked up to her, and queried anxiously, “Baby, what is the matter?”
Freya’s eyes became wet instantly, and she responded with a tone of despondency, “We can’t find Louis, and his phone is switched off.”
Her husband was disturbed, too, and he confirmed, “I am certain that I saw him walk into the registry while the ceremony was going on.”
“Yes. We all saw him.”
Then, he smiled assuredly before he encouraged her, “Calm down, Baby. Have you called Denise’s house? He must have been tired from his trip and decided to go there and have his rest. He may switch off his phone to avoid disturbances.”
Now, Phil’s opinion gave Freya some hope, and her eyes sparkled, “You are right, Hubby. We have not thought of that.”
However, she quickly called John, and he watched her with a concealed impatience. At once, John picked up the call.
At The Island
“Wow! This is angelic,” Olivia exclaimed when they arrived at the Tourist Center. It was situated on an island. The unpolluted air and the ambiance were paradisiacal. Olivia looked around when she got out of the vehicle.
Then, he inquired, “Do you like the place?”
“I can’t ask for more than this. Thank you, Hubby,” she answered happily.
Denise cast a surprise glance at her over the new title. It was still strange to him, and he could not believe that he was already married to the woman he loved. Thirty days ago, he was lamenting before his Godfather and that day, his dream had come true.
Likewise, he held her right hand and requested, “Kindly come with me.”
“Okay, dear,” she said and followed him.
They walked to the suite that the manager had reserved for them, and Olivia was awestruck when she walked into the parlor. The dining table was decked up with assorted bottles of wine and food, and the parlor was dimly lit.
She looked at Denise, who was admiring her, and commended him “I do not doubt that your choice would be great.”
“Thank you, Wifey, for believing in me.”
Subsequently, it was time for Olivia to be surprised by her new title. Denise pulled her closer, looked into her eyes, and declared, “Wifey, tonight is the night that we have been waiting for.”
She nodded in the affirmative, and he kissed her temple before he requested, “Come, let us undress.”
At that point, Olivia screamed and pointed out, “Oh! My God. We did not come with any clothes. What are we going to change into?”
Now, before they walked into the bedroom, Denise teased her, “Do people wear clothes during honeymoon?”
Olivia believed him and asked, “Is that so?”
“Yes,” he answered with a silly grin.
At that moment, they got into the room and Olivia could not believe her eyes. She saw two suitcases that were filled with clothes one for him and one for her.
With a look of bliss on her face, she turned and hugged him before she appreciated, “Thank you, Hubby.”
“You are welcome. Thank you for making me a married man. Come and change your clothes, you must be famished.”
He helped her to unzip her wedding gown. Afterward, she pulled it down and was left with her inner-wear. She turned and helped him to unbutton his suit too, and they were both left with inner wears.
Then, Denise proposed, “Let’s have our lunch, I’m starving.”
“It is all right,” she agreed.
They walked back to the parlor and sat beside each other at the dining table. Now, Olivia saw a card that was placed on a bowl and read through the inscription.
(Congratulations to you once more, my Angel, the woman that I will love for the rest of my life and the mother of my children. Denise)
Now, Olivia was moved and gave him a peck, “I will love you for the rest of my life,” she assured him.
Subsequently, they had their lunch happily and proceeded to the bathroom for a shower. Meanwhile, Olivia was bashful and would not undress freely before him. He was shy as well but had to do what was necessary. He took off his singlet and was left with only his knickers.
“You don’t have to be shy, my Angel. It is me, Denise, the man you love and the man who loves you too,” he made clear to her.
Without her response, he began to undress her, but the unexpected happened.
Olivia screamed, “No. I don’t deserve you,” and ran back to the bedroom.
She sat down on the couch and began to cry. Nevertheless, Denise walked back to the bedroom dispirited. He sat on the bed and looked at her for a while before he laid on the bed and faced up.
At The Registry.
“Hello, Mrs. Anderson. I’m delighted to hear from you,” Denise security responded.
Meanwhile, the anxious Freya, who had no time for protocols, quickly asked, “Did Louis return to the house?”
“Yes, Mrs. Anderson,” he answered at once.
At that moment, the couple simmered down and Freya continued, “That is good. Kindly give him the phone, I wish to speak with him.”
“He is no more here, Mrs. Anderson. He left after he changed his wears.”
Freya looked at her husband, who had placed his right hand around her waist, before she asked again, “Where did he go to?”
“He did not mention it to me.”
