Chapter 14
Damian’s POV
“Alright, go on. I’m all ears but make it snappy” I said huskily.
“I’m pregnant” It took some time for me to make meaning from what she just announced.
“For who?” I queried.
“For you, of course. I realized it three weeks after I travelled to the UK. That is actually why I returned. We are having a baby, Damian!” She giggled.
“Jade, I don’t understand what you are saying or why you are excited. Where are you now? We need to discuss this in person.”
“I’m at home. Of course, you can come over. Bring some champagne along let’s celebrate this great news.” She hung up before I could say another word.
“Ethan, I gotta go. There is something urgent that I have to attend to.” I said immediately I came to collect my car keys from the counter.
“What could be so urgent? Where exactly are you heading to?”
“It’s Jade. I’ll explain later.”
“Be careful, Damian. I hope you know what you are doing.”
As I drove past the streets on my way to Jade’s place, the memories of our good times began to fill my head. I shook my head in a bid to dismiss those thoughts.
“Jade, I don’t know what you are planning but I know you are up to no good.” I mutter to myself as I sped up.

Jade’s POV
I hummed happily to myself as I walked majestically into the bath tub. I could see my plans before my very eyes. Soon enough, everything will fall into place and I will have Damian to myself again.
I laughed loudly this time.
That wretch, that calls herself Valerie, thinks she can reap where she did not sow. It’s only a matter of time before she is shoved back to the dirts where she belongs.
I had a quick, hot bath. After applying my sweet-smelling body lotion and wearing my cologne, I applied light make-up.
I carefully selected a red, transparent gown and then let my hair hang loose on my shoulders.
“Damian won’t resist me this time. Damian must come back into my arms where he rightfully belongs.” I said smiling at my reflection in the mirror.

Damian’s POV
I knocked twice before she opened the door. The house was still looking good. Nothing much has changed since when I last visited.
I cast a glance at my ex-girlfriend as she just stood there. Always looking beautiful. I used to be swayed by her beauty and sweet tongue but not anymore.
“Jade, go straight to the point.”
“Won’t you sit down, at least? Stop acting like you’re a stranger in my house. You used to sleep on my bed!”
“Damian, what will you like to drink?”
“Nothing. I’m good. Let’s just discuss what brought me here, please?”
“Dammy, you know you won’t come to my house without tasting anything. I insist on giving you a drink. Hold on, I’ll be right back.”
She returned with a bottle of brandy and two tumblers which she presented before me. She poured our drinks and was the first to drink before I followed suit.
“You know Dammy, I really miss those days when we used to cuddle up in each other’s arms after drinking to our fill…”
“Jade, I don’t have much time to spend here. What you said earlier, how true is it? Let me see the pregnancy test results.”
“I don’t have the test results here. I ran the test in the UK and you don’t expect me to bring it back here as evidence. You should not be so surprised Dammy, remember when we used to have several rounds of sex. This is the outcome now.” She said with a smirk.
“Jade, who else knows about this?” My instincts kept telling me that Jade was lying. I was still trying to remember the last time I slept with Jade. That was months ago. How can I be responsible for her pregnancy?
“I told Valerie. Soon enough I’m going to announce it to our parents.”
“What? Why did you tell Valerie? Now I understand what you said to her that made her avoid me. You are a liar and a cheat. You are up to no good, Jade. I thought you’ve changed.”
“Oh please…Why are you so interested in this Valerie so much? What does she possess that I don’t? What can she possibly offer you? She is only but a store owner. I have properties in my name. Dammy, have you forgotten all the plans we had for our future?”
I felt as though her words were beginning to get to me. Before I knew it, she was standing very close to me.
“I’ve missed you, Damian. I’ve missed your touch. The way you look into my eyes and kiss me. Damian, please make me feel like a woman again. I’m incomplete without you.”
She ran her hands down my neck which sent a tingling sensation down my spine. Jade knew the right places to touch. She knew my weaknesses, and she was working with them. Her left hand went down to my chest and began to unbutton my shirt slowly. We kissed roughly for minutes taking intermittent breaks to breathe and stare at ourselves.
She held me by my left hand and led me to her dimly lit room like a lamb being led to the slaughter.
When we got inside the room, she closed the door behind her and stood at a distance from me. The seductress was smiling as she cat-walked close to me. I dropped my phone on the bedside table.
She pushed me to the bed and I fell meekly. She began to undress. She was about to unstrap her bra when I held her hand.
“Let me do it.” I went behind her, unhooked her bra and rained kisses down her neck. She let out a moan in response. I brought her two hands and held them behind her back. Afterwards, I used a small lace to bind her hands behind her back.
“What are you doing, Dammy?” She asked as she giggled.
“Hold on, I’ll show you. You want me to tie your hands right?”
“Do with me as it pleases you, My Lord.”
I made the lace to be very tight on her wrist and she let out a yelp.
“Ouch! Dammy, that hurts! Please loosen it.”
“I will, but first…Jade, answer me honestly. Are you pregnant?”
Her face suddenly turned white and her hands became very cold.
“Dammy, you planned this. I thought you were savouring this moment we had.”
“That’s not the answer to my question.” I said as I tightened the lace a bit more.
“Dammy! Why have you come to cause me pain? Please I beg you. My hand hurts.”
“I’ll listen to you if you tell me the truth. Let me ask again. Are you pregnant?”
“No! I’m not pregnant. I cannot even get pregnant for you. I merely said that to get your attention again.”
“What else did you say to Valerie?”
“I asked her to avoid you. I threatened to deal with her if she doesn’t comply. I’m sorry, Damian. Please let go of my hand. I beg you.”
