Isabella
It’s been a week since my birthday incident with Tristan, I had thought he had forgotten about my birthday but he gave me such a grand gift that had triggered my memories. Since that moment, I have returned and stayed at my parent’s house.
Tristan and everyone, including my parents, had tried to reach out to me but I had his away completely.
Today was my checkup day at the hospital, Tristan was the one who always took me there, but I wasn’t staying at his house anymore which meant I was going to go alone, but thankfully Mom said she would go with me.
I took my shower and dressed up in light brown pants and a white shirt. I tucked it on, grabbed a brown purse, and wore white slippers before going to meet my mom in the living room.
“I’m ready Mom,” I said going down the stairs.
“Come on, let’s go,” She smiled as we got outside the house, and got into my car.
The drive was short, and when we arrived at the hospital, the driver opened the door for us. We walked into the hospital, and immediately doctor Eddie gave me some rest while we waited for the results.
“How is she a doctor?” My mom asked sh hour later as we sat in his office.
“Well, you are doing good,” He smiled while I nodded in relief.
“What about the headache?” I asked him
“Well I think your brain is trying to help you remember now, the voice, the sounds, all of those are just your brain picking signals with the trigger and you’re trying to recall,” He explained.
“So it’s going to keep coming until I remember?” A sigh escaped my lips as I asked him.
“Yes, but I think you should embrace it,” I was confused.
“What do you mean?” I asked him, and Min gave my hands a light squeeze.
“I think you can help yourself remember by being open up to it, embrace whatever it is your brain has to show you even if it’s a bad memory, a good one, a sad one, or a happy one, you need to embrace it and not let your fear of the unknown stop toy from knowing the truth,” He said and I sighed.
He was right I have been beating myself up about what it is that I might have forgotten and how it might affect my lips in good or bad ways, it scared me, but truth war I was never going to know unless I let myself remember.
“Thank you so much Doctor,” I smiled at him.
“You are doing wonderful Isabella,” He smiled
“You and the baby are perfectly fine, ” He said with s smile on his face.
“What?” I looked at my mom who sat beside me confused.
“What do you mean by baby?” I asked him immediately, while Mom stared in shock as well.
“You’re pregnant,” He said and I was too stunned to speak.
“That’s not true, I would know if I’m pregnant,” I stated but he looked at me confused.
“Right, mom?” I quickly added.
“Yes,” Mom responded sharply.
“I thought your husband told you about it already,” He stated.
“What? Tristan?” I asked to be sure.
“Yes, I presume he wanted to tell you himself that’s why he asked me to keep it a secret,” He explained and I chuckled angry and surprised by what I just heard.
“He did that? He asked you to keep it a secret?” Oh, now I was pissed as I repeated his words while he nodded my head.
“How dare he?” I thought and rubbed my stomach my fave already fumed in anger.
“He’s going to explain to me what right he has to keep such important information away from me,” I left his office and then left the hospital in a cab as I gave the directions to Tristan’s mansion.
“Tristan,” I yelled at the top of my voice immediately after I got to the house. I knocked on the front door, pacing around the front porch restlessly.
“Isabella, I thought you left already,” Lily said but I pushed her away and climbed upstairs going into his room. I walked in there, there he was sitting on his bed with his laptop on his legs.
“Isabella,” He called out in shock and stood on his feet trying to reach for me while I glared at him.
“How dare you?” I yelled at him in anger, but he looked at me profoundly confused.
“Isabella,” he called out while I ignored him.
“What gives you the right? Huh?” I asked him.
“What are you talking about?” He asked clueless and I hissed immediately.
“How dare you keep such information away from me, why would you do that?” I glared at him.
“What was your plan? What motive did you have Tristan?” I asked him in anger.
“Isabella, please be calm,” He said and exhaled.
“Explain to me, what’s going on?” He added and I hissed again, turning around already frustrated.
“Hold on,” I turned to him, as an idea dropped in my heart.
“Did you perhaps, plan on taking the child away so that you could have the inheritance,” I gasped as I said it, while he looked taken aback by my words.
“Was that the plan? The inheritance? Was that the reason?” I asked him, my voice called a bit.
“Answer me, Tristan,” I hit his chest aggressively as he just stood there silently without uttering any word.
“That’s not true,” He held my hands in the air, stopping me from hitting him any further.
“I have no idea what you’re turning about,” he lied, dropped my hands, and turned around to leave.
“I’m talking about the pregnancy, and don’t you dare pretend, ’cause I know you asked the doctor to keep it a secret,” I spilled and immediately he turned around and rushed to me, trying to hold my hands.
“Isabella,” He called.
“Tell me why?” I yelled and yanked my hands away.
“Cause I don’t know if I want to be a father, okay” He yelled at me and I staggered backward in shock.
“What?” I held onto the wall for support as tears filled my eyes.
“There, I said,” He groaned in frustration.
“You don’t want to be a father?” I mumbled more tears fell from my eyes, as I twisted the doorknob and ran out of the house.
“I thought he loved me, but he doesn’t want to be a father to our child?” The thought rushed to my mind, as I hailed a cab crying profusely.
