“I dare?”
Sebastian’s tone was chilling, his gaze sharp with malice.
Don’t even think about it. Even if it were my father who had made a mistake, I wouldn’t tolerate it!
Vaughn and Tyler immediately moved to restrain William, pinning his arms behind him. William struggled, unwilling to be captured, shouting, “Sebastian! You’ve lost your mind!”
Sebastian didn’t expose all of William’s schemes in front of everyone. As the saying goes, *family matters should not be aired in public.* What William had done was indeed shameful, but that was a matter for the Vanderbilt family to handle!
“Take him away!”
“Yes, sir!”
Vaughn and Tyler led William out.
As they reached the door, William was still shouting, “Sebastian, you’re ungrateful! You even turn on your own family… your mind is evil, twisted!”
Who’s the one who’s truly evil?
William was a master of twisting things around!
Once the meeting room quieted down, Sebastian addressed the shareholders, his voice steady and powerful. “Ladies and gentlemen, from today onward, VEG will return to its proper course. Those who conspired with William to bring down VEG, I will make sure they are purged, with no mercy.”
The shareholders held their breath as he spoke, each word like a thunderclap in the room.
“I also promise all of you that by this time next year, VEG will give you a 200% return on your investments. I hope that in the future, we can all win together with VEG!”
His words were met with applause.
“Well said! Sebastian is brilliant!”
“Long live Sebastian!”
The shareholders were all energized, clapping and cheering for him. As for the ones who had been bribed by William, they now began to tremble in fear.
“Meeting dismissed!”
Sebastian said, putting on his sunglasses and striding out of the meeting room.
News of his return quickly spread throughout the company, and the employee chat exploded with excitement.
Some employees posted a video of Sebastian walking confidently into the meeting room, his every step commanding attention.
They saw their Sebastian back in full force, exuding strength and dominance.
And they learned that William had tried to seize control, only to be slapped down by Sebastian right there in the meeting room.
VEG’s management had returned to Sebastian’s hands!
It was nothing short of spectacular!
“Awesome! Our Sebastian is back!”
“Ahhh, Sebastian is always in control!”
“Sebastian is a genius! All the demons and monsters will show their true colors now!”
As the employees continued to excitedly discuss the event, Sebastian was already on his way back to The Vanderbilt Family mansion in a special car.
### The Vanderbilt Family Mansion
In the main hall, Beatrice, Grace, and their children, along with people from the second branch like Megan and Xylia, were all gathered.
“Marcus, what’s going on?” Beatrice asked, her brow furrowed.
“It’s Mr. Vanderbilt who asked everyone to come here. He said there’s something important to announce,” Marcus replied, still unsure of the specifics.
Just as they were all wondering, two men entered, pushing William inside. William’s hands were bound with ropes, and as he was brought into the room, Vaughn kicked him in the back of his legs, sending him to his knees.
“William! What is this? Why are you tied up?” Megan shouted, panic in her voice as she saw her son in such a state.
Xylia, too, looked horrified, her face full of disbelief. “What’s going on? Why are you arresting William?”
Vincent asked, “What’s happening? Why are you arresting my brother?”
Vaughn answered coldly, “We’re following Mr. Vanderbilt’s orders. We’ve brought William back because he did something he shouldn’t have done.”
“What? What did he do? William is diligent and responsible. He would never do something wrong!” Megan yelled, defending her son.
“Yeah! What’s the reason for this? Why are you just taking him away?” Xylia chimed in, her voice rising.
“Enough!” Beatrice interrupted sharply. “Let’s wait for Sebastian to come back and confront him directly.”
No sooner had she spoken than a servant rushed in.
“Beatrice! Mr. Vanderbilt is back!”
Everyone turned toward the door, where the sound of a car pulling to a stop could be heard. Then, Xavi opened the door, and a tall, imposing figure stepped out.
Molly, seeing her brother step out of the car, couldn’t contain her surprise. “Oh my God! Is that really my brother? He can walk? And his eyes… they’re not blind anymore?”
“Is it really Sebastian? Has he recovered?” Grace asked, astonished by what she was witnessing.
Everyone was in shock-just yesterday, Sebastian had been sitting in a wheelchair with barely any sight, but today he was standing tall and walking with the strength and grace of a normal person.
It was unbelievable! In just one-third of the time it took most people to recover, he had become completely well. It was nothing short of a medical miracle!
As Sebastian stepped into the grand hall, his cold eyes swept over the room.
Megan and Xylia shivered under the intensity of his gaze, as though they were being pierced by sharp blades.
“Sebastian! You’re really okay?” Beatrice asked, relieved to see her grandson healthy again.
“Yes, Grandma, I’ve fully recovered,” Sebastian answered calmly, his expression unreadable.
“Good! That’s great!” Beatrice smiled, but then her expression turned serious. “But what’s this about you arresting William?”
At that moment, Xavi spoke up, explaining, “Beatrice, today William secretly held a shareholders’ meeting behind Mr. Vanderbilt’s back, trying to remove him and take control of VEG. That’s why Mr. Vanderbilt had him brought here.”
“What? William did that?” Beatrice’s face hardened with anger as she looked down at William, who was kneeling on the ground.
“William, after Sebastian’s accident, you kept saying you were helping him, but now you want to replace him? VEG is Sebastian’s hard work!”
“Exactly! William, haven’t you got enough already? You and Richard are already managing KM International Group, but now you want to take over VEG? Isn’t that a bit too much?”
Grace added, taking a side. She had always been a fence-sitter, but now that she saw William caught, she quickly turned against him.
Molly, too, was furious. “William, this is outrageous! You thought you could take everything because Sebastian was blind and couldn’t walk? How is that any different from being a thief?”
Megan, now in a panic, shouted, “William, speak up! Explain yourself! This isn’t like you! Is someone pressuring you to do this?”
William, looking desperate, began to defend himself. “Grandma! Mom… It’s just that Sebastian is overreacting. I was only trying to help him manage the company, and instead of being grateful, he turned on me! I’m heartbroken!”
“I knew it! I knew William wouldn’t do something like that! Sebastian, you’re just making excuses. You can’t stand that William is so capable, and now you’re betraying him!”
Megan rushed to protect her son, accusing Sebastian of being cold and heartless.
“Enough!” Sebastian barked.
“William held the shareholders’ meeting behind my back. That’s a fact. But that’s not all. He also embezzled funds from Vanderbilt Enterprises and pocketed them for himself. Just that alone is enough to send him to jail!”
His words shocked everyone in the room. They all turned to look at William, their faces a mix of disbelief and anger.
Sebastian continued, “Even if we overlook that, do you all know what else he’s done behind the scenes?”
