A small-time thug, unaware of his situation, interrupted her, “Who the hell do you think you are?”
*Slap! Slap!*
Before he could even react, he was slapped twice across the face, almost knocking him out cold.
Damn!
What just happened? Was he the one who got hit?
“Did T-Five send you here?” Caitlin’s cold gaze swept over the thugs from Xing Gang.
The thug, furious, charged at her again, “How dare you call out T-Five’s name! You’re looking to die…”
*Boom!*
This time, Caitlin kicked him straight into the air.
Fast and ruthless!
“Tell T-Five to stay out of my way! Otherwise, I’ll make sure you all regret it!” Caitlin said, as her foot landed again. K. C. was writhing in pain, “Ah! Ah! Please… please spare me… spare me…”
K. C. had already started begging, and the other thugs quickly surrendered as well.
“Get out of here!” Caitlin let go of K. C. and kicked him. Terrified, he scrambled to his feet and fled with his gang, leaving with their tails between their legs.
What could’ve been a bloody confrontation was easily resolved by Caitlin’s actions.
The Xing Gang thugs ran away in disgrace, while the Qi faction, watching from the sidelines, looked at Caitlin with new respect.
Thomas, in particular, was intrigued by her.
His eyes gleamed with admiration. “This young man, I wonder if you could tell me your name? Perhaps we could be friends?”
“Cait.”
Caitlin gave her alias.
Thomas immediately introduced her to his subordinates. “Listen up, everyone! From now on, this Cait is my brother. Whenever you see him, you address him as Chief Cait!”
“Chief Cait!” the group chanted in unison.
“Cait, I see you have impressive skills. Why not consider joining us?” Thomas offered, trying to recruit talent.
“Thank you for the offer, Mr. Quick, but I’m just here for personal business. I’m only looking for someone.”
Caitlin started to leave, but Thomas handed her a business card.
“Well then, Cait, here’s my number. You’re always welcome at Golden Lion. If anyone gives you trouble, don’t hesitate to call me. I’ll be at your service anytime.”
Thomas had clearly decided to treat Caitlin as a brother from now on.
Caitlin took the card and left the Golden Lion Entertainment Center.
In a nearby alley, Ian was getting a thorough beating from Quincy and the others.
“Are you going to talk or not? Last chance! If you don’t speak, we’ll chop off your hands!”
Under Quincy’s pressure, Ian finally cracked. “I’ll talk! I’ll talk… Mr. Vanderbilt hired me… told me to lure Caitlin to a trap… there’s an ambush…”
Hearing this, Caitlin frowned slightly. “Which Mr. Vanderbilt?”
The first person Caitlin thought of was Sebastian, but it couldn’t be him, right?
“It’s William from the Vanderbilt family…”
Ian spilled the truth, crying out, “Dad! Please spare me! I’ve told you everything, I swear! Let me go!”
The earlier incident with K. C. had clearly scared Ian into submission.
“Don’t worry. I won’t take your life. I need to keep you alive as a witness!”
Caitlin had her men take Ian away and settle him down.
As for this William guy, he was truly despicable.
To deal with her in such a way!
But why would he do this? Was it just to get to her? Or was there something else?
After dealing with Ian, Caitlin made a quick trip to DanCa Estate. That night, she had plans to meet Phoebe and Wendy for dinner.
After changing her clothes and makeup, Caitlin was ready to leave.
Arthur ran over to send her off. “Mommy, have fun tonight! Find some handsome guys, and if any catch your eye, don’t miss your chance!”
“Got it, son!”
Caitlin smiled as she left. Her son was so eager for her to find a boyfriend.
She didn’t want one, but they kept introducing her to guys. What a worrywart of a kid!
Arthur was eager for his mom to date, but Howard felt a bit down. He wanted Mommy and Daddy to get back together.
He didn’t know how Daddy was doing right now-he missed him!

Sebastian, now divorced, wasn’t in the best of spirits.
He had King and Vaughn stay behind at the Vanderbilt family to protect his son, while he himself took Xavi and Tyler to the NO. 8 club.
When Benjamin, Nolan, and Yates heard their boss was coming, they thought Sebastian was bringing his wife along for a formal introduction.
But they were wrong. He came alone and looked upset.
“Boss, where’s your wife?”
“Yeah, we’ve all met her except for me!”
Yates had even canceled his evening schedule just to meet Caitlin.
“Don’t mention her!” Sebastian snapped, his mood sour.
Benjamin, seeing this, asked cautiously, “Boss, wait a minute… Did you and your wife have a falling out?”
Nolan chimed in with a bit of dark humor, “Could it be that she dumped you?”
Sebastian’s brow furrowed, his expression turning colder, the lines of his jaw tightening.
“Who said I was dumped? I was the one who initiated the divorce!”
“Oh?” The three men’s eyes widened in surprise. “Boss, you’re divorced?”
Sebastian remained silent. Yates, now excited, asked, “Boss, is that true? You really got divorced? Does that mean I can chase after her now?”
“Shut up!”
Sebastian snapped at him, and Yates quickly fell silent.
It seemed their boss wasn’t ready to let go just yet.
—
At the restaurant, the three women were finally together. Wendy heard from Phoebe that Caitlin had gotten divorced.
She couldn’t believe it. She hadn’t expected Caitlin’s happiness to come so suddenly, so unexpectedly!
“Caitlin, is it true? You really got divorced?”
“Yeah,” Caitlin nodded.
“Awesome! Divorce was the smartest decision you could make!”
“I thought you’d wait a bit longer, but you got divorced so fast! This is great! I totally support you!”
Wendy felt that her brother’s chance was getting slimmer by the second!
This time, she had to help her brother get Caitlin as a sister-in-law! Oh yeah!
The divorce didn’t seem to affect Caitlin much. The three women continued to chat and enjoy their meal, happily.
During a break when Phoebe went to the restroom, Wendy privately asked Caitlin, “Caitlin, now you’re a two-time divorcee, huh? Do you regret it?”
“Regret? Not at all. This contract marriage was, in a way, to repay a debt. But more than that, it was to get back my son.”
“Repay a debt? Get your son back?”
Wendy exclaimed in surprise.
At this moment, Phoebe hadn’t gone far, and she overheard their conversation.
Caitlin briefly explained the reason behind her marriage of convenience, and Wendy was heartbroken. “So, you married Sebastian all those years ago for your mother’s treatment, for 200, 000? But Mr. Vanderbilt generously gave you 2 million, and you agreed to have his child? Does that mean Howard from the Vanderbilt family is your and Mr. Vanderbilt’s son?”
“That’s right! Now I’m going to figure out how to get my son back!”
These details were only shared with her closest friend, Wendy, and now Wendy was even more worried.
This was a disaster!
Caitlin and Sebastian still had a child together. Her brother’s chances were even slimmer now!
But then again, it was Caitlin’s child. Her brother probably wouldn’t mind being a stepfather!
Phoebe, standing outside, was shocked.
She couldn’t understand why Caitlin would give up on such a great man like Sebastian. She could’ve stayed with the Vanderbilt family, with Mrs. Vanderbilt’s status, and the child-she could’ve used that to her advantage!
Wendy thought of something and asked, “Does Sebastian know you’re the woman from all those years ago?”
“He doesn’t. I used a fake identity back then, and he couldn’t find out about me.”
“Well, it’s all in the past now. I’ve repaid my debt, and we can all move on.”
Wendy raised her glass, “Right, right, let’s move on! Next! So, Caitlin, I heard you have a VIP diamond card? Let’s go have some fun after Phoebe comes back!”
“Sure, let’s go have some fun!”
Caitlin smiled brightly.
But Phoebe, standing outside, had different plans.
Since Sebastian was someone Caitlin didn’t want, maybe this was her chance to get closer to him?
