Johanna smiled maliciously before opening the document handed to her by Victoria. When she opened it, her expression changed, disbelief written all over her face as she stood up, “Why is there content?!” She exclaimed.
“What do you mean by content? Should it be just blank paper?” Victoria said with a smile.
“N-nothing,” Johanna stuttered before awkwardly displaying a smile.
Erica pulled her to sit down, their smiles disappeared and were replaced by frowns.
Victoria knew that Johanna would do such an unreasonable thing, so she prepared herself ahead of time. Victoria began explaining the theme and content of the document along with a presentation on the projector. She eloquently explained how this project would resonate, and in the end, Mr. Alejo was pleased, “Such a beautiful concept,” he complimented.
“Thank you very much for the praise, Mr. Alejo,” Victoria replied.
“I will invest in this project, and I want you to be the leader,” he said before shaking hands and signing a contract.
Johanna could do nothing but be envious of Victoria’s success; she wanted to ruin her reputation, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. Erica tapped Johanna’s hand after seeing the anger in her eyes.
The manager approached with a smile, “Victoria is just an intern, she is not yet capable of leading such a big project,” she interjected upon seeing Victoria extending her hand to shake.
Mr. Alejo looked at the manager, “So, who do you want to be the leader?”
The manager smiled and then looked at Johanna, “She, Mr. Alejo.”
Johanna stood up with a smile, “Hello, Mr. Alejo.”
Mr. Alejo looked at her before turning to the manager, “but I want Victoria.”
“Mr. Alejo, Johanna is better than Victoria,” the manager said with a smile.
“Mr. Alejo, it seems the manager does not want to cooperate and wants to pass the project to another intern,” Victoria interjected with a frown.
Mr. Alejo glared at the manager and grew angry, “Don’t you want to cooperate? If not, then I’m leaving!”
The manager panicked, “No, Mr. Alejo, because-”
“No excuses. Cancel the project or Victoria will be the leader,” he said firmly.
The manager was frustrated that things didn’t go as planned, but she hid her annoyance and put on a fake smile, “Of course, Mr. Alejo, we want to cooperate, and Victoria will lead the project.”
“No, I don’t want to continue this; you didn’t even thank me for the success of this presentation, and you want to give credit to someone else,” Victoria calmly said before looking at Mr. Alejo. “Mr. Alejo, although I want to do this it seems our manager is biased and does not want me to handle the project, I apologize and Mr. Alejo saw the unreasonable and embarrassing scenario happening in our company,” she emphasized the bias and the unfairness.
“I might need to report these practices to your superiors. What will others say when they find out that Luca Group management is favoring certain individuals?” Mr. Alejo said in a cold tone.
Manager Jen panicked, “No, please, Mr. Alejo, I will give the project to Victoria, and I will not interfere with her decisions until the contract ends.” She knew that if this happened, it would be difficult to get rid of Victoria, so she needed to find another way.
Mr. Alejo looked coldly at the manager, “What else are you doing? If Victoria doesn’t agree, this project will not continue, and you will pay for what you did.”
The manager nodded before looking at Victoria, “I’m sorry,” she said softly.
“I couldn’t hear you clearly, manager, what are you saying?”
“Sorry,” the manager said a bit louder.
“Why are you apologizing, what’s the reason?” Victoria asked.
‘This woman is so dominant,’ Manager Jen thought as she clenched her fist. “I’m sorry because-”
“Because of what?”
Manager Jen bit her lip before speaking in a louder voice, “I’m sorry for trying to make Johanna the leader and passing on the credit that should be yours.”
Johanna sat down upon hearing this, feeling embarrassed.
Victoria smiled before extending her hand to Mr. Alejo, “Thank you for believing in me.” Mr. Alejo shook hands with her before Victoria signed the contract. Mr. Alejo left the conference room, and shortly after, Victoria exited with a smile, leaving behind four displeased individuals. “Victoria! You will pay for what you’ve done!” Johanna slammed the table, anger evident in her voice.
Manager Jen approached, “Don’t worry, I have another plan,” she said with a sinister smile.
Victoria worked until the afternoon, studying what she needed to do to accurately present in the project. At that moment, the manager approached with a contract in hand, “Go to the office of BG Group and look for Mr. Kim to sign the contract.”
“Me?” Victoria asked, pointing to herself.
“Who else? Do you think it should be me?” Manager Jen retorted.
Victoria nodded before continuing to read, “Good, I thought it was me.”
Manager Jen got irritated, “Victoria, I’m instructing you to go and have it signed!”
“Is that also my job? Can’t you see I’m busy? Why don’t you ask our little princess over there who sits idly and does nothing?” she sarcastically remarked, glancing at Johanna who was sitting like a princess.
“What do you know? Can you even be compared to Johanna?” the manager said with a smirk.
“We’re both interns here, this isn’t her palace,” Victoria replied.
“Hey, with just one wish from her husband, you could not only be ousted but could also pay a heavy price. Maybe you don’t know that the chairman is merciless,” the manager taunted.
Victoria thought that if she pushed too hard, Johanna might be exposed immediately. So she stood up, took the contract, and left the company.
Manager Jen and Johanna had a wicked smile as they watched Victoria exit definitively.
“What if she doesn’t go to find Mr. Kim?” Kc asked.
Manager Jen smiled, “The chairman needs this contract; she will be held accountable if she doesn’t get it signed.”
Mr. Kim is known as a lascivious and ruthless man, breaking the hearts of many women who come to him always ending up in his bed.
Victoria went to the BG Group building and headed straight to Mr. Kim’s office.
Knock knock!
Victoria knocked. “Mr. Kim, I was sent by the Luca Group, your signature is needed for a contract.”
“Come in, the door is open,” Mr. Kim replied from inside the office.
Victoria opened the door before entering, and Mr. Kim saw Victoria’s beautiful face and body, he couldn’t resist and licked his lips. Mr. Kim composed himself, sat on the sofa with a table, and invited Victoria to sit.
“Please, have a seat. Let’s discuss the contract,” Mr. Kim said as Victoria nodded and sat on the chair across him before laying out the contract to be signed,”Please sign the contract Mr. Kim”
“Are you in a hurry?” Mr. Kim asked.
Victoria nodded, “Mr. Kim, I am in a rush and have another project to attend to, please sign the contract quickly.”
Seeing Victoria’s cautious behavior, Mr. Kim stood up before moving to where she was seated. Victoria shifted, trying to move away from Mr. Kim.
Mr. Kim attempted to approach her with desire evident on his face. Unable to restrain himself, Mr. Kim suddenly leaped to hug Victoria.
