It was enough evidence that she has known him for a long time.

I watched them with keen interest. If I was caught, it would be embarrassing for me. But, I couldn’t peel my eyes away. I felt jealous about the way they moved about.
There was something that told me that they’ve been friends for a very long time. He sat down and watched her eat.
I was jealous and torn.. tears stung my eyesight and blocked my precious vision.
I cleaned it off with anger, I was watching the both of them as if it was an important task. I watched them so hard, if I closed my eyes, I could play it back with crisp and precise details.
“Thank you. If you’ll excuse me, I have to check up on my girlfriend”
He stood up and before his head could turn in my direction. I ran backwards and hit a vase. I watched it shake and I caught it before it could hit the ground.
“That word sounds foreign coming from you Mr Alexander!” Adeline shouted from the living room. I kept the vace in it’s proper position but before I could let it go, Christian appeared.
I dropped it and straightened my robe.
“I was just coming to check up on you” he said gently, with a smile that told me he missed me.
I sniffed back tears.
“What’s wrong?”
“Headache” I lied.
“Sorry. Are you sure you don’t need to go to the hospital?”
“It’s just headache” I told him.
“Okay. You’re sounding a bit edgy. I’ll take it that it’s the headache. Or did I do something wrong in your dream, if I did, tell me and I’ll apologize ”
I laughed and I felt guilty for laughing at his joke.
“My god, this tastes heavenly ” Adeline moaned.
“That’s my friend, Adeline ” Christian said sharply. “Come and I’ll introduce you to her”
I followed him without speaking and when I approached Adeline, she was more beautiful from up close.
“Dear god” I said under my breath.
“So you’re the legendary Jenna ” Adeline said with a big gentle smile.
“You look familiar ” I blurted out.
“Oh yes, I won miss universe many years ago” she said with pride.
“Jenna this is Adeline, Adeline.. my girlfriend”
She rolled her eyes and scoffed.
“My dear, if I didn’t meet you now, I won’t believe that this man would ever consider a relationship. When he told me about you in the phone, I thought he was making you up” she giggled.
There was no reason not to like her.
“Nice to meet you ” I said, trying to keep the negative feelings from escaping from my belly.
I did not notice he was gone in the first place but he returned with a bottle conayii I drugs.
“For the headache” he said and I was not having any headache.
“I’ll take them later”
“No, now”
“Later” I prostested further and sat down.
“Now. Don’t argue with me” he warned.
I turned to Adeline, I was flushed with embarrassment but it was she who was res from the blush.
“I’m starving now, I’ll take them later”
He dropped the bottle on the couch and sauntered away.
“How does it feel like?” She asked me mischievously.
“How does what feel like?”
“Dating an alpha male. Christian is every girl dream man”
“Makes me feel useless, like a child. I barely even have any control over my own life, what I want to do has to go through him first”
Adeline’s smile widened, she was such a shameless little brat.
“I like that” she said giggling.

“Beware, I’ll love to have him. If you don’t want him you can speak now” she said this will a smile but I was not stupid, I could see that she was serious.
“Eat” Christian said dropping the food on the table in front of me.
I sighed and picked up the plate. I ate greedily, the food was too delicious to be true.
“Jenna, can you cook?” Adeline asked me.
“I considered myself the greatest cook before I met Christian” I told her.
Christian sat beside me and dropped a wineglass with two cups.
It was very cold. I drank the wine thirstily.
“How did you guys meet?” She asked me.
I froze and turned to look at Christian.
“At a wedding” Christian answered without throwing a glance at me.
“Interesting” Adeline said tracing a finger around the rim of the glass.
I cleared my plate and I was about to stand up and take it to the kitchen.
“Leave it” Christian said and pulled the bottle of water closer, he opened it as if I was unable to open a common lid and he gave me two tablets.
I winced as I swallowed it down. I also prayed for headache, so that at least it would not be like drug abuse.
He raised a brow asking me if I was alright and I nodded my head telling him that I’m fine.
“Look at the both of you, you both have been communicating without words” “we have?” I asked her and she nodded, sadly.
“I want to get my luggages, where are they?” I asked Christian.
“They are in the trunk of the car. Leave it, we’ll get it later”
Adeline stood up.
“It was nice to be here and finally meet you, Jenna ” Adeline said.
“It was nice to meet you too” I was relieved that she was finally leaving.
“If you’re for a drink anytime, give me a call”
Swiftly, she pulled out a card from her designer handbag and handed it to me.
“Goodbye Adelina ”
“This is not goodbye Jenna, it’s see you some other time ” the threat was evident in her voice.
How come all these women were always so possessive over Christian when me, who is his girlfriend, is not even possessive at all. The thought was sickening.
I would like to see her try and get him.
“Was she your former sub?” I blurted out within thinking. His jaw hardened and his eyes grew cold. I knew I had made a mistake.
