I had a terrible nightmare.
I was on the Aquamarine and I was walking on the deck, I heard high pitched moaning and I was curious enough to see who it was.
When I went to take a look, I was shocked to the core.
Jenna was laying naked under Jay and they were moaning loudly as they were having sex.
I was devasted, I tried to move but I was frozen. I groaned and twisted and turned yet there was no way forward. Slowly, I tore out of the bondage and ran to where they were.
I grabbed Jay and tore him away from her, I was about to throw him into the sea when I was ruggedly shoved out of sleep.
“Christian, my god, what have you done!” It was a voice I knew too well, Kylee.
“Get up, you smell like spirits. I’ve been looking all over the place for you. I thought you killed yourself and I went to the police”
My eyes snapped open and I looked around. I was in the balcony of Jenna’s bedroom. I wonder how I got here.
“What if you had jumped… Wait, did you come here to jump?’
There were tears gathering at the corners of her eyes.
“No Kylee, I’d kill Jay first ” I mumbled and got up to my feet, kicking two empty bottles of alcohol out of the way.
“What are my plans for today?” I asked her. She sniffed and sat on the bed.
“Christian, I thought you died ”
“We’ll I’m alive. Have you made the calls yet?’
“Yes, they’re changing route, they’ll pick us up” she said cleaning her nose with a handkerchiefs.
“Good” I said turning around, searching for my phone.
“Here, I saw it downstairs” I took it from her.
“I opened it and I got to warn you about somethings”
“What things?”
She looked down at her hands.
I checked the phone and saw a bunch of nude photos of Talia. Laying in bed, her tits were out of her robe, in bathtub stark naked, sitting in the table with her legs spread wide and pussy exposed.
I deleted all of them and blocked the number.
“What are you going to do to her?” I heard Kylee ask.
“Her punishment won’t be so easy for me to come up with. I swear with my life, I’ll make her pay”
“When I was searching for you. I tried calling Jenna, there was no reply”
“I know, her phone is broken and I don’t think she’ll be able to get another one”
“Why?”
“Unless they sell phones in the aquamarine, I don’t see how she’ll buy one.
She smiled and nodded.
“You look like shit” I told her.
“You should see yourself in the mirror. You look like shit”
I went to the bathroom mirror to find that Kylee was not lying.
“Kylee, Marcellino and I might not be full brothers” I said from the bathroom.
Kylee immediately appeared at the door.
“What?”
“Yeah. I haven’t called my mum to confirm it yet. I think she cheated and my dad might be Alexander”
Kylee’s mouth fell open.
“No!” She said in disbelief.
“To be honest, I’d be relieved that the devil isn’t my father but who is?”
“It means that..”
“Yeah exactly what I was thinking Jenna and I can actually be together even if Marcellino is married to Elisa ”
She smiled, wildly and hurried out of my sight, when she returned she was holding her phone and in the screen was Mrs Alexander, she called my mum for me.
“Hello. Kylee, I haven’t heard from you in ages”
“Mum, it’s me. Christian” Kylee backed away, giving me privacy.
“Chris.. how are you doing son?”
I sighed.
“I’m thriving mum. I have something to ask”
“What is it?”
“Who is my dad?”
She was silent. I heard her breathing hitch, but it began again, faster.
“What are you talking about?”
“Don’t.. it’s been thirty two years. You have to come clean”
I heard her crying.
“I’m sorry”
“It’s okay mum, you don’t have to cry”
“I met your dad at a bar, your real dad”
“What was he like?”
“He looked exactly like you. Green eyes with specks of gold, charcoal black hair. He was handsome, hot headed like you, strong, stubborn…”
“What happened, why did I never get to see him. Was it a one night stand?”
There was an awkward pause, as if a mother and son should not be discussing sex.
“No son, it wasn’t one night stand. You’ve met him, plenty times ”
“When?”
“You were still little. Alexander, he caught up on it an he threatened to throw the both of us out. I couldn’t afford to give you a life of proverty..”
I frowned.
“Your dad, he was just the bartender and he didn’t have much ”
I raised my brows in surprise, I grew up with the picture that my father was a wealthy man, only to find out now that my real father was actually broke.
“Do you left him?”
“What would you have me do. You were still too young and___”
“I understand mum. I’m just glad I found out”
“You sound happy” she said accusingly.
“I am, I’m happy”
There was another round of silence.
“Where is he now?”
“Your dad?”
“Yes”
“He’s out playing golf with his pals”
I cursed under my breath.
“Not Alexander. My real dad”
She gasped because I had just referred to her husband by his first name.
“What, it’s not like I owe him any title”
“You’re bearing his last name!”
“Yes and I’m going to change it. Where is my real dad, do you even know?”
“He died Chris… When you were about thirteen. I’m sorry”
I never knew you could grieve the death of someone you never knew to well. The pain in my chest intensifies and I searched for an outlet. I balled my hand into a fist and I swung it at my reflection staring back at me.
The mirror shattered.
“Christian!” Klyee asked running into the bathroom.
I heard my mum screaming over the phone.
Kylee had worry etched into her face.
“What’s wrong. My God, you cut myself” Kylee said observing knuckles.
“He’s dead, Kylee. Dead”
