Chapter 115 A Dead-end

Book:Let Me Go, Sugar Daddy Published:2025-2-8

Lillian had thought he was going to say something else!
She had even been hoping he would tell her that he had a change of heart. After all, he was about to get married, so what was the point of keeping her around?
But instead, from everything that had happened during this time, including his nearly two-month disappearance, he had come to a conclusion: a decision that was so possessive and twisted!
She had thought that if she just played along with him, he would eventually see Daisy’s good qualities and let go of her, or even if it was Daisy or Evelyn, she didn’t care-he could get tangled up with whoever he wanted, as long as it wasn’t her.
Lillian’s expression changed dramatically. She didn’t even care if he was still waiting to help her down from the boxing ring. She turned and quickly slid down the other side.
She ran away from him, pushing the door to the boxing room open and heading upstairs.
Conrad stood silently in place for a long time, his hand still extended, as though waiting for her to take it.
After a while, he withdrew his hand with a blank expression.
After showering, when he returned upstairs and opened the master bedroom door, finding the bed empty, Conrad furrowed his brows and looked toward the only guest room.
He opened the guest room door forcefully. Conrad never let anyone stay over, so the room had no sheets on the bed.
But there was someone lying in the bed-Lillian, curled up and unmoving. If it weren’t for the slight rise and fall of her chest, Conrad would have thought she was playing dead.
He bent down and picked her up in one swift motion. Lillian jolted awake. She tensed up like a block of stone.
“I want to sleep alone.”
“Lillian, I paid off your hundred billion debt. What right do you have to tell me no? You sold yourself to me for three years, and now you’re quitting? I didn’t buy you to let you sleep alone.”
Lillian tensed, holding back the urge to stab him with a knife. When he threw her onto the bed, Lillian closed her eyes.
Conrad ripped the towel off his body, threw back the covers, and got into bed, not bothering to look at her again.
She lay stiffly for a while, and when she realized he wasn’t going to do anything to her, she quietly turned over, curling up in the corner of the bed.
It wasn’t long before, unable to bear it any longer, Conrad threw off the covers and yanked her into the bed with him.
Lillian opened her eyes to find him pulling the covers over her, then turning his back on her as he fell asleep.
She instinctively looked at him, but could only see his back.
Her face buried in the pillow, she let out a quiet sigh.
During this time, it felt like she had fallen into a dead-end.
No matter how she tried to escape, the road ahead led to only one conclusion.
******
The next morning, when Conrad got up, he found that Lillian was still in the same position as the night before, as if she hadn’t moved at all.
Conrad went straight to the walk-in closet to change clothes, washed up, and left the house.
Lillian only woke up when she heard the sound of the car engine. She quickly jumped up and began searching through the house, looking for her documents.
The house was so big, and Conrad didn’t seem like the type of person who would hide her documents all over the place.
After thinking for a moment, Lillian decided to take the risk and go to his study.
She had just opened the door when she saw the faint glow of infrared lines in the study. The lines were nearly everywhere, covering the entire room.
“Lillian, are you trying to get yourself killed? You’re going to get laser-shredded if you go in there,” Conrad’s harsh voice echoed through the room.
She tried to stay calm. “I’m looking for a pen. I’m not sure if it’s here.”
She had come in a few times when he was working. But when Conrad wasn’t home, no one dared to enter the study.
“Did you find it?” Conrad’s voice held an air of knowing.
Lillian stepped back. “It’s probably in my bag. I’m heading to the construction site.”
She closed the door to the study and, once she was out, stomped her foot in frustration. How many cameras were there in this damn house?!
The thought of Conrad possibly watching her from some corner sent a shiver down her spine.
She hurried back to her room to change clothes. As she came downstairs, someone greeted her.
“Good morning, Mrs. Conrad.”
Lillian froze, turned around, and stiffly looked at the person. “Huh?”
The man was well-dressed, handsome, with a standard service smile.
“Mrs. Conrad, Mr. Conrad said that you should choose a bride for little Ada.”
Lillian was speechless.
The man had already brought over a tablet and was swiping through it. “These are the resumes of the potential brides. They’re all purebred, ten generations of ancestry.”
As if to assure Lillian that there was no doubt about the bloodline.
Lillian glanced at the screen and then at Ada, who was still in the yard. “Well, how about this one? The one with the white patch on its head.”
“Mrs. Conrad, you truly have an eye for these things! Its parents are the kings of the jungle, and their child will undoubtedly be the strongest. We will broadcast the entire process live, including the pregnancy and the birth, so you can experience it and participate in the creation of new life.”
Lillian’s lips twitched. “Alright, I guess… that’s fine.”
“Good, we’ll make sure the young master is satisfied. Let’s prepare the contract for signing. All we need is the parents’ names. Mr. Conrad said you have full authority to handle this.”
“Me?”
“Yes.” The man smiled brightly and handed her the contract. “Just sign your and Mr. Conrad’s names here.”
Lillian looked down at the contract. The father’s section and the mother’s section.
If it were before, she would have signed it without a second thought.
But now?
If Daisy saw this one day, wouldn’t it cause trouble for her in the future?
“Actually, I think you’ve misunderstood. Mrs. Conrad is not me.”
“Huh? Are you Miss Lillian?”
“Yes, I’m Lillian.”
“Then it’s correct.” The young man’s tense face instantly broke into another smile. “Mr. Conrad said it’s Miss Lillian who will handle this. No one else.”
In these wealthy families, they had seen it all. They didn’t care whether she had an official status or not.
If the sponsor said someone was someone, then that was that.
As for the rest? It didn’t matter.
Now, she was Mrs. Conrad.
Lillian had no choice. Conrad had already made the decision, and she was just the one signing the papers.
With a heavy heart, she signed her and Conrad’s names in the parents’ section.
Lillian’s handwriting was especially practiced, strong and forceful. When the two names were placed side by side, there was an inexplicable romance to them.
Lillian didn’t dare to look for long. Since there was no possibility of a future, she would slowly remove Conrad from her life.
She didn’t want to get further stuck in this quagmire, sinking deeper and deeper without a way out.
“Miss Lillian, aren’t you having breakfast?”
“I’m skipping breakfast. I’m going to the construction site.”
Lillian didn’t want to stay at Hillside Villa any longer.
Before getting in the car, she stopped by the city hospital to visit her grandmother. After confirming that her grandmother was stable, she stayed with her for a while before heading to the set.
Meanwhile, as soon as Lillian left the hospital, Conrad unlocked his phone.
Staring at the small blue dot on the screen tracking its movements, he expressionlessly shifted his gaze away from the phone.
Hogan interrupted, “Did you hear what I said earlier?”
“What?”
“I said, since we’re bored, how about we head to a primitive jungle next month? You can bring Lillian along. You two look miserable staring at each other all the time.”
