Chapter 96 His Thoughts

Suddenly, Conrad spun her around and hoisted her into his arms. Her sweater flipped up in the process, and she gasped at the sting of pain.
“Be gentle!” she cried.
“You should try putting on some weight, Lillian,” he said casually. “That way, our future kids will have enough milk to drink.”
His words yanked her harshly back to reality.
Caught between heat and cold, her back pressed against the glass. Clothes began piling up on the floor in disarray.
“Don’t ruin my clothes!” she protested. “I need to wear them tomorrow.”
But Conrad ignored her completely. As soon as she finished speaking, her strap was torn apart.
Lillian slapped at him in frustration. “What am I supposed to wear now?”
“My people will deliver new ones tomorrow.”
With him around, there was no need to worry about such trivial things.
She was simply adorable, Conrad thought.
The showerhead turned on, and warm water poured over them.
Conrad had recently developed a penchant for kissing her-intensely, deeply, and possessively.
Lillian often found herself breathless from his domineering style, no matter where they were.
“Lillian,” he murmured, his voice thick with amusement, “are you trying to seduce me again?”
She bit her lip, afraid to make a sound, worried about the house’s poor soundproofing.
Seeing her hesitation, Conrad pulled her toward the bed. “What’s this? Isn’t your mouth usually quick to argue? Why so quiet now?”
“Stop it!” she whispered urgently.
“I won’t. Lillian, who’s in front of you right now?”
She didn’t answer, so he thrust into her with more force.
“Who?” he demanded.
“You,” she replied reluctantly.
“And who am I?”
“Conrad… Conrad Brown!” she finally shouted, her voice breaking in frustration as his sudden intensity overwhelmed her.
“Good,” he said, a hint of satisfaction in his tone. “Remember, I’m Conrad. The only one who can have sex with you is me, Conrad. Don’t forget it.”
The rain poured heavily in the late night, accompanied by the sound of thunder.
Lillian’s gaze was fixed on the raindrops splattering against the window, her sticky palms pressed against it, leaving trails on the glass. The wooden bed creaked loudly, and even the bedposts shifted direction with each movement.
After it was all over, Conrad looked at Lillian and thought that he needed to get her to have a healthy baby soon. He earned so much money, and it was impossible to let it go to waste without anyone to spend it.
Lillian wasn’t spending much these days. Even when she got upset, she wouldn’t ask for gifts or anything else.
Ever since she cut ties with her parasitic uncle and his family, she didn’t need as much money anymore, so she wasn’t as obedient as she used to be.
He wanted her to have his child sooner to tie her down. That way, she wouldn’t keep thinking about running away.
All his efforts to sleep with her frequently-she’d better get pregnant with his kid.
Conrad stroked her hair, watching the gentle rise and fall of her breathing and her slightly parted lips. Unable to resist, he leaned down to kiss her again, lingering until he was completely satisfied, then finally closed his eyes.
This was exactly how things should be between him and Lillian.
They were so perfectly matched, as if Lillian had been made just for him.
Just looking at her filled him with excitement, and only her scent could help him sleep soundly.
She was his woman and his alone.
There was nothing in the world that brought Conrad more satisfaction than making love to Lillian.
As dawn approached, Lillian slowly woke up, feeling as though she’d been trampled by a wild dog.
No wonder she was struggling to breathe-he had her pinned down tightly.
The moment she moved, Conrad stirred.
She stiffened as she tried to lift her leg and escape his embrace, but the man behind her had already opened his eyes and kissed her earlobe.
“Enough! It’s morning,” she said, her voice strained, almost on the verge of tears.
Her throat had been hoarse from last night’s cries.
His lips left her earlobe, trailing downward with soft, deliberate kisses.
“Enough? The sun’s just barely up, and our day’s lovemaking has only just begun,” he murmured.
As he spoke, he slowly penetrated her from behind.
After a long while, he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, and said in a low, lingering voice, “Go back to sleep for a bit. It’s still early.”
The rain had lightened, and Ford would probably be bringing them clothes soon. Conrad did not need to worry about such things.
Lillian hadn’t slept so deeply in a long time.
Every time she closed her eyes, her mind was flooded with thoughts of her grandmother in the hospital and everything going on at the base.
She realized she hadn’t contacted Melissa at all yesterday and had no idea if her grandmother was doing okay.
But most importantly, she hadn’t brought any birth control pills.
Still, she fell asleep like that, unwilling to waste the golden opportunity for rest.
“When are we going back?” Lillian asked. “I want to go back to the inn and rest, and I still haven’t confirmed my grandmother’s condition with the hospital.”
“Hmm?” Conrad muttered, eyes closed, as he pulled out his phone.
He tapped a few buttons, and the screen displayed footage from the hospital room. It seemed like it was from yesterday when Melissa had visited her grandmother.
“The hospital sends me updates every day. Your grandmother is doing very well.”
Lillian hadn’t expected him to have this.
“Are you relieved now?” he asked.
“You…”
Conrad narrowed his eyes. “Ungrateful. When have I ever treated you badly?”
It was always her who didn’t trust him, as if he could do anything to her grandmother.
Conrad gripped her wrist firmly, and his breath became heavy again.
At that moment, a call came through, showing only a series of asterisks on the screen.
Conrad’s eyes narrowed as he quickly threw off the covers, getting up and stepping away from Lillian.
Her body lay exposed, and she froze, her hand still in place.
Conrad quickly grabbed a bath towel, answering the call with a voice so gentle that Lillian wondered if she was hallucinating.
“Hmm~ I’m here.”
“Miss me? Want me to come back and see you sooner?”
“Do you still like the gift I gave you before?”
Lillian watched Conrad’s back, feeling her blood rush to her head.
The warmth from the bed had already been dispersed. She lay there, completely exposed, feeling the coolness seep in.
The air was still filled with the rich scent of lovemaking.
