Chapter 114 His Possessive

Book:My Unexpected Billionaire Husband Published:2025-2-8

The marketing account that twisted the truth received a lawyer’s letter but scoffed at it.
This account had millions of followers online and a terrible reputation; fans despised them, but casual viewers loved clicking on their posts and often believed the nonsense they shared.
Backed by Upward Group Entertainment, their powerful connections allowed them to smear competitors repeatedly. They’d even had stars send them lawyer letters before.
They didn’t mind going to court; the process was long-very long-and they’d already made a fortune from their rumors. Even if they lost, they’d just pay a symbolic fine.
The editor of the account glanced at the lawyer’s letter with disdain but then noticed it was from Paul Law Firm-a well-known name in the industry that almost never lost cases. They were reputed to take a cut of hundreds of thousands, even millions, per case, and their founder was a significant figure in the legal world, involved in drafting laws.
If they actually fought this in court, the company could end up bankrupt, even losing the clothes off their backs.
A minute later, the editor received a call that changed his expression completely. He quickly deleted the post and every account issued an apology.
“Jason Says Entertainment: A new intern violated company policy by privately contacting a certain actress and publishing a defamatory post about Ms. Sarah. We apologize to Ms. Sarah; the intern has been fired. Please forgive us. @Sarah”
Most of Sarah’s fans had no idea what was going on.
Even though the marketing account deleted it quickly, some people had taken screenshots.
After reading it, Sarah’s fans were speechless.
The “certain actress” in the apology was obviously Elisa, even though they hadn’t named her.
“Copying Sarah’s outfits was one thing, but stealing her entire persona? What else will she take?”
“Elisa might as well change her name to Thief Elisa.”
“Finally bought such nasty press and crashed hard, huh?”
“This is the first time I’ve seen ‘Jason Says Entertainment’ apologize. He’s been slandering our guy for years without ever clarifying. Even if he loses a lawsuit, his apology is still so snarky. I’m curious how Sarah managed this; what’s her background?”
“Oh, so you guys who feast on others’ misfortunes can apologize too?”
Sarah knew there would be a price to pay for seeking help from Holden. Her legs felt a bit wobbly, and standing on tiptoes made her whole body ache. Holden was so much taller than her; if he didn’t lean down, she’d have to stretch her arms around his shoulders to reach him for a kiss, which was tough.
When it came to kissing, Sarah didn’t exactly have a natural talent; she still felt a bit awkward and shy. Her eyes sparkled, and her cheeks flushed slightly. But Holden remained unfazed, just watching her come in for the kiss.
Unable to help herself, Sarah complained, “You’re too tall! Can’t you just lean down? Or how about we kiss on the couch?”
Holden replied with a half-smile, “Do you really think you can give orders to your sugar daddy? We can go to the couch, but let’s extend it to an hour.”
Sarah decided to go for the couch. Maybe next time, she’d wear heels. Right now, it was just too tiring-her legs felt weak.
She’d spent the whole day at home in a soft, lightweight silk dress, the hem hitting just above her knees. Sitting on Holden’s lap made the skirt ride up a few inches more.
Most of Holden’s clothes were custom-made by a tailor who flew in from Europe every month, from his ties to his shoes.
Sarah preferred shopping for various brands herself, and even if she ended up in the same outfit as someone else, it didn’t bother her.
Holden liked exclusivity, so when he got tailored clothes, he also had the designer measure her for a whole wardrobe of dresses and pajamas for home.
The dress she was wearing was a custom piece, with delicate silk ribbons embroidered with a series of letters from her shoulder to her neck. Usually, Sarah was a bit careless and just saw those letters as a design, not realizing that they spelled out Holden’s name.
Holden adjusted his watch and then reached to untie the ribbon around her neck, his long fingers brushing over the embroidered letters. Sarah was still seriously focused on her work, gently closing her eyes to kiss him, completely unaware of what he was doing.
While it seemed like she was taking the lead, he was clearly in control during the kiss, and Sarah felt a bit dizzy, her whole body tingling from his touch.
After a while, she leaned against Holden’s shoulder, breathing softly, the blush on her cheeks spreading to her ears. “How much longer?”
She reached for Holden’s watch to check the time. “It’s only been fifteen minutes?” Sarah wondered if Holden’s watch was broken; it seemed impossible for it to be that short. “I thought way more time had passed.”
Holden leaned down and kissed her neck, trailing his lips lower. That’s when Sarah realized the ribbon on her dress had come undone, and the top part of her dress lost its support and was at risk of falling apart. Holden was still in his suit, having just returned from a meeting at the office that afternoon, his tie still intact. On the surface, he looked completely cool and detached, showing no signs of any inappropriate thoughts about her.
She tried to tie the ribbon back on her dress.
Holden held her wrist gently, his fingers brushing the soft skin on the inside. “Don’t you want me to kiss you here?”
Sarah got lost in the depths of Holden’s eyes. Most people were often intimidated by his aura, as his presence was more captivating than his looks. In reality, Holden was stunning, with a sharply defined profile and eyes that felt like the depths of the ocean, drawing her in completely.
She shook her head softly.
Holden smirked and continued.
The long afternoon felt distant and tranquil, and Sarah couldn’t help but doze off in his arms.
Holden tied the ribbon back on her dress, fixing it just like it had been before, almost flawless except for a few wrinkles.
At that moment, Sarah didn’t care what time it was; it had probably long passed their agreement, but she was half-asleep in a sweet, gentle dream, having forgotten about it entirely.
Holden wasn’t tired; he rarely slept during the day, so his gaze lingered on her.
The gentle look she’d seen when she first woke up was gone; now, Holden looked like a different person, his eyes filled with a dark, heavy desire to possess her.
It wasn’t just about wanting her body; that wasn’t the most important thing to him. What mattered was that she would never be able to leave him, that she would stay by his side for the rest of her life.
After the marketing account flopped, half the entertainment industry tuned in to watch the drama unfold, and a lot of people were really, really curious about Sarah’s background.
Everyone in the industry knew that this “Jason Says Entertainment” account was backed by Upward Group Entertainment. They had previously spread a rumor about a rising star with over 30 million fans being kept by a rich woman. Even after getting roasted by the star’s fans and facing a lawsuit that cost them $50, 000, they still wouldn’t back down.
But now, this marketing account had a complete attitude shift. Some people thought Sarah must have a significant background, while others speculated that she might sign with Upward Group soon and that this whole situation was just a publicity stunt.
Regardless, Elisa ended up being the biggest target of the mockery.
Elisa had tried to take Sarah’s image for herself but ended up with the nickname “Thief Elisa,” and everyone knew she had a habit of stealing other people’s personas.
