CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX
HARLEY’S POV
After being caught by Burke, I knew I wouldn’t be able to go anywhere without raising any suspicion, all eyes were on me, I knew that was a sneaky and wrong move I made there, on the other hand, I needed to talk to Jaxon as fast as possible because I am so scared and I don’t want Jaxon going and spilling our little secret, especially with the fact that I haven’t been able to raise the money he asked for.
“Send me a reputable Person who is not Diago and is in no way close to him”, I said to my maid who was washing my feet.
“Okay, my lady,” she replied.
Immediately she was out of the room. I picked up my ink and paper and wrote down a little bit of information that I needed to pass to Jaxon.
In a matter of time, a guard and my handmaiden were standing in front of me.
“Leave us”, I said to my maid.
I watched her leave and reached out for the paperwork I had just sealed with the royal seal.
“I want you to help me give this letter to Jaxon. I said facing the guard, no one must know where you are headed. Quickly hurry up and give me feedback”, I said to him.
I waited for about an hour or two and the letter came back to me in pieces.
“What happened?”I asked the guard.
” He said the only discussion he wants to have is on getting his money else he would reveal your big secret” the guard replied, without looking suspicious.
“Fuck, did he tell you the secret”? I asked the guard in panic.
“No, none that I know of”, he replied.
The relief that came from his reply was soothing. I didn’t want a mere guard blowing up my secret to the world and I know that Jaxon couldn’t care less about revealing my secrets to the world.
” Okay that’s fine, please I do not want to hear of your encounter with Jaxon to anybody, if not consider yourself jobless, you can leave now”, I said to him fiercely.
“Gosh, I need to find a way to get rid of this boy, he is a nuisance in my life and it’s becoming unbearable”, I said to myself, as panic was written all over my face.
I need to find out a way to get rid of Jaxon urgently and, I’m so fucked up with his misbehaving attitude, I’m on the verge of losing my mind because of him.
Ava is another stumbling block that I need to get rid of, she is the only one obstructing me in killing Jaxon, and I know that if I kill Jaxon she would implicate me and I wasn’t up for her nonsense.
I needed a plan urgently to kill Ava, and I did not have any idea how to do that, it was so frustrating. After pacing around for a while an idea finally struck me
“Nikky, yes Nikky is the solution to all my problems, she is the key, if I can get her then I can get anyone of them”, I said to myself, smiling at my smart idea.
How on earth did it just occur to me that Nikky is a renowned and powerful witch who can be very helpful to me?
I knew I had to reach out to Natasha immediately, I hurried out of the house hoping that no one saw me.
I went into the woods to look for Natasha, it was difficult to trace her place as we had been distant from each other for a long while now.
I saw a haunted house in the middle of the woods and it had Natasha written all over it.
“Natasha”, I chucked as I made my way into the house.
I immediately entered and Natasha was sitting in the living room of her house performing some magic.
“Natasha my dear friend, I have missed you so much”, I said, feigning a smile.
Natasha is a long-time friend that I met in the coven, when it came to looking for a portion to get Burke, Natasha is good at making portions.
“Hayley the crooked, what are you looking for in my humble abode, it’s really strange having you here you know, after you’ve abandoned me for wealth and fame now you come to me what could a pauper like me probably have that you want?”, she said giving me a weak smile from the corners of her lips.
Natasha and I had been old friends before Ava came into the picture, I had to abandon my friendship with Natasha because of the big life and pictures I saw with Ava. I mean it is worth every bit of it. No one wants to be associated with a witch, especially not someone like Natasha who is known for her doom witchcraft.
Natasha and I would go around causing harm to people and stealing their precious belongings. It was when Natasha mistakenly killed a bastard child belonging to the neighboring pack that she had to run away into the woods to save her life. And I certainly do not want to be associated with a killer, that was another reason I did not want to be friends with her.
“Natasha darling I am sorry, it is not what you think, you know how these things can be especially when your right is about to be taken from you, my sister is trying to take my position as the Luna of this pack from me”, I said.
“Hmmm, your explanation still has nothing to do with me, why are you here Hayley?”, she asked.
“I need your help for something urgently, I know you and Catherine’s daughter Nikky are in the same coven I need your help to get a potion to help her worship me, I want Nikky to obey all of my commands, every word that comes out of my mouth should be her command”, I said.
” And what do I tend to gain from helping you?”, she asked.
” You know me Natasha once I become Luna, I will elevate your status, you will leave this place you call a home and come live with me like a queen, I’ll ensure you are treated like a queen at all times,” I promised.
” Hayley, Hayley my always ever dubious friend, you know I have never had a reason to trust you, but I’ll take your word for it, I’ll help you and you’ll help me”, she said.
” Yes, trust me this time, there is no reason to doubt me,” I said…
“I won’t, but if you fail from your end of the bargain there will be consequences”, she said.
She reached out for a bag beside her chair. The bag looked dusty. It looked like a bag that had survived different centuries with different witches. She brought out a small bottle containing a red potion and handed it over to me.
“Take this potion, when you get back home drink it immediately you see her, and everything you want she will do for you”, she said.
The words that came out of her mouth felt so relieving. I was so happy to hear it.
“Thank you, Natasha, I promise I won’t let you down, once everything is settled I’ll come back for you”, I said.
” You should, if you don’t there are repercussions”, she warned.
I care less about her warning. I only just wanted to get back to the mansion and get my experiment done.
I hurried back to the mansion, immediately I walked into the sitting room I could see Nikky making her way down the stairs, I quickly took a sip of the potion and put it back in my purse
“Nikky, I called…
“She turned and gave me a strange look,
” Come here “, I said authoritatively …
She moved towards my direction and stood right in front of me, it seemed like the potion works after all I said to myself …
“Sit” I commanded
She immediately sat on the ground,
My wicked smile came creeping from the corners of my lips …
“Ava I’m coming for you”, I said to myself
