CHAPTER NINETY- EIGHT
AVA’S POV
“You are so incompetent, you don’t know how to get a little fucking girl,” I yelled at my guard, as I packed around my room angrily.
Nikky is acting too smart for her age; she is a witch, which has been confirmed, but I don’t know what she does at the coven, which is fishy.
“Mam, I saw her at the coven, walking with a blonde woman. I couldn’t see the woman’s face, and she noticed she was being followed, and she outsmarted me,” He explained; I could see fear in his eyes, and I loved the view.
“A little girl outsmarted you, and you feel happy to say it, aren’t you ashamed?” I questioned, and he stared at the ground, unable to look at my face.
“Look at me, you loser,” I ordered and he raised his head slowly till his eyes met mine.
He was standing with shaking legs, and I knew he wished the ground would swallow him, but that wouldn’t happen.
“I give you three days to get the lady’s face,” I ordered again, and he wanted to complain, but I raised my hand to stop him from talking.
The lady might be among Catherine’s relatives because Catherine had blonde hair, and Nikky had blonde hair, which was just their genetic trait.
“Mam, entering the coven is very risky; I respect you, but I also love the fuck out of my life; I can’t go there again; I’m sorry,” My guard explained, and I burst into a round of laughter, making him confused.
“I’m sorry, that was funny, Dude,” I said, choking on my laughter.
“Really?” He asked, smirking at me.
“No, now wipe that smirk off your dumbass face,” I said, sternly, wearing a frown on my face.
“I’m sorry,” He apologized, looking embarrassed.
“That wasn’t a request but a fucking order,” I said, ignoring his apology.
“I can’t do that mam, I almost lost my life sneaking into the coven, it wasn’t easy mam,” he tried explaining and all I could hear was fear, he was afraid of the witches and I don’t blame him, I hate witches too although I’m not scared of them.
“You will do as I say, you are my guard,” I said sternly, and he froze at the spot.
“If Guards give me respect like this just because I’m the Alpha’s sister, what will happen if I am the Alpha?” I asked myself, smiling; the thought of that made me feel butterflies in my stomach.
“Mam, I can’t… ”
“That’s it, please use the door,” I said, but he was reluctant to go.
“I said you are dismissed, now, ” I yelled further, and he turned to leave, grumbling.
I didn’t bother to ask him why he was grumbling because if he was man enough, he would have said those things he was grumbling about in my face.
Soon, the door banged shut, and my quick guess was that he was gone, and I was alone in my room.
“Nikky is going to drive me crazy,” I said to myself, sitting on my dressing table.
“Really? How’s that?” I heard Harley ask.
I didn’t realize she entered when my guard left. She acts like a witch because she has the blood of a witch.
“That little wreck is going to ruin our plans, if we don’t get her out of the way,” I said to Harley, still deep in thought.
I never for a moment thought that a little child would be able to outsmart me because I am a fucking smart person.
“You need to calm down because Burke is also a problem,” She stated, sitting at the edge of my king-sized bed.
“Burke can’t be a problem; he is getting married to you, and that’s what we planned all alone,” I said harshly, and she rolled her eyes at me angrily.
“Talk to me with little respect, Ava, and aside from that, your brother still feels the mate bond with Catherine. Do you think she survived when we burnt her house?” Harley asked, and the question was a ridiculous one.
“We burnt Catherine’s dead body, she’s fucking dead,” I said, exhausted by her question.
“What if the body we saw belonged to her maid, the vampire girl,” Harley assumed, looking scared.
“Stop thinking like a child; we saw the park in Catherine’s right hand; have you forgotten?” I asked, rhetorically.
“Then why did the maid run off like that, Ava? Have you ever thought of that?” She asked, rolling her eyes like Catherine, she acts like Catherine at times but I don’t give a shit about that.
“The Vampire girl was afraid we would blame her, and instead of trying to fight for her innocence, she ran off; vampires are cowards, and all they do is run,” I explained, and a smile crept to the corners of her lips.
“I’m sorry I didn’t think of that,” She said, still smiling.
“Now Nikky’s the problem; I have done my research; she’s a witch, and she is planning something with the witches in the coven,” I said, hoping Harley would be of some help.
“I wish I could help, but the witches said they aren’t going to help me again after that syndrome because I am putting a fight between them and the wolves,” She explained, looking to the ground.
We were lucky Burke was too heartbroken; he would have sent men to fight even if we were the ones that are liable to lose the fight.
“That little girl is going to give me a headache,” I said, rubbing my head.
“Then kill her, if she smells the poison you put in her tea, try using tafana,” She said, smiling sheepishly.
Tafana is the most deadly Poison, and it kills easily and quickly. The good thing is that the witches can’t smell it.
“How do I do that?” I asked, hating the fact that I would have to kill a child, but that’s what I need for court life.
“We are having a family dinner, have you forgotten?” Harley reminded me and a wicked smile crept to the corners of my lips.
“Get me some fucking Tafana, Nikky dies tonight,” I said, still smiling.
