Sara whispered softly as she walked through the woods. She glanced at the full moon that shone brightly on the ground. She could hear some happy noises coming from the pack’s gathering floor.
The excitement that came with the unmated werewolves getting their mate was unparalleled.
Sara sighed as she sat on a stone, humming softly while she thought of her whole life in general, especially since her meeting with Killian.
Sara could feel herself getting drawn to Killian, especially last time when he saved her from the coffin, and carried her in his arms home. She longed for the warmth she felt that day.
“But what’s with his cold aura?” She asked herself. Nice and handsome as Killian was, he exuded a cold and distant aura, that made those close to him shiver in fear. Even Sara sometimes would be struck with fear whenever Killian approached her.
She sighed, and got up to be on her way when she heard a cry, more like a baby’s cry. She wanted to ignore but the cry became louder that she couldn’t bear to leave.
“Who could have left a baby in this desolate woods?” She asked herself as she traced the sounds of the baby’s cry.
She walked a few distance, and stopped abruptly. Something was wrong, the more she walked towards the cry, the farther the baby’s cry. She began to get suspicious, as she rolled her eyes all over the woods. It was no doubt that she had made a lot of enemy in the pack within just a month she had arrived.
Someone had placed a diamond stone on her, and another person had arranged her kidnap. Now, it was a baby’s cry that was drawing her attention.
“This must be a trap, and I am not going to fall for it.” She said, and turned back, but was met by two hefty figures, and a delicate lady stood in between them.
“Who…who are you guys? What do you want?” Sara stammered as she stared at them.
The lady, who had covered her face with a black handkerchief stared at the men, and they both nodded.
The men carried her deep into the woods, where the loudest of wails couldn’t be heard by the outside world.
Sara screamed and begged as she was being carried away.
They dropped her on the ground when they got to the very extreme of the woods.
“I am not here to harm you, but I must sound a great warning to you.” The lady said, as she moved closer to Sara.
“I heard Killian brought you as the Luna of our pack.” The lady said and paused, a smirk was on her face as she stared at Sara.
“I must tell you, only me can be by Killian’s side, only me can be his Luna. If you do not need my advise and keep on pestering Killian. There can be only one outcome, which is death, for you.” The lady yelled at her, while Sara shrunk in fear.
But there was something that solidified Sara’s mind. Even though the lady yelled loudly at her, and the two hefty men growled wildly, she still couldn’t adhere to the lady’s words.
She had caught herself falling head over heels for Killian a number of times, she always wished to be in his arms, and stroke his beards lovingly. Especially from her encounter with the rogue wolves, and finally her kidnap. Her feelings for Killian had been on the increase since then.
“Can’t you hear me?” The lady roared, and Sara stared at her.
Her mind was still solid, maybe it was her feelings for Killian, or the trust in Killian that he would appear out of the blue and save her.
“If you think Killian is going to save you today, then I am afraid you are in a great error. He is too busy with the mating ceremony and doesn’t have time for a lousy woman like you.” The lady spat at Sara.
Sara took in a deep breath, and stood up slowly.
“The moon goddess had chosen me as Killian’s mate, and the Luna of this pack. Do you want to ignore her words? Aren’t you afraid of the backlash on you?” Sara asked her, while the lady let out a bitter laugh.
“The moon goddess must have been crazy to choose you as our Luna. You are not even from our pack.” The lady crazily said, she covered her mouth as she laughed wildly.
“Whoever you are, I don’t care. But I must say to you also, Killian is mine, and will forever be mine. I will fight for what I want, including the man I love. I won’t back down so easily, he is my mate, and I am his Luna.” Sara yelled at her. There was something that disturbed Sara though, no matter how hard she sniffed, she just couldn’t get a streak of the lady’s scent.
The lady was shocked. She wondered how audacious Sara could be for her to be able to yell at her. She ordered the men to beat Sara. They both took some sticks and wanted to land them on Sara’s body when the unexpected happened.
Sara held the sticks with her two hands. Her eyes breathed fire, and a golden aura exuded out of her, which caused the men, and the lady to panick.
She screamed out loud and a huge force of power sent them flying away. It turned out that it was her Luna’s powers that had solidified her mind. She stared at her palm in disbelief.
“It actually happened again.” She thought to herself. She remembered how she had tapped into her Luna’s power back at the market.
She was still in shock when a familiar scent found it’s way into her nostrils. She noticed the scent came from the lady. It occurred to Sara that she had intentionally hidden her scent before, but Sara’s attack on her, had made her release her scent unknowingly.
“This scent, why does it seem so familiar?” She asked herself, as she racked her brain.
“Oh no! The kidnap, it’s the same lady.” She thought wildly in shock as she raised her eyes instantly at the lady who was still groaning in pain.
