Killian carried Sara back to the castle, people stared in awe as he held her tightly to his chest.
“My lady.” Violet called as she ran towards Killian.
“Are you alright?” She asked instantly, while Sara nodded.
“Take her to her chambers so she could rest.” Killian ordered, while Violet obeyed.
He placed Sara down who muttered a thanks to him as she walked away.
Her encounter had indeed traumatized her, but the lovely scent and warmth of Killian calmed her heart. Killian watched her as she walked away, he had never realized how deep he cared for her, until the critical moment. He smiled for some seconds after which a deep frown took over his face. He turned to the men that were being held by the guards.
“Jim,” he called out his personal assistant.
“Yes sir,” Jim replied as he hurried to his side.
“Call me the elders, I have an important meeting with them.” Killian said in an authoritative voice.
“Yes, my Alpha.” Jim said with a bow.
Killian turned to the common room where the meeting was being held, he sat down almighty on his chair, and awaited the arrival of his council elders.
A minute later, several elders walked in one after the other, each one of them with a worried look as they wondered the reason behind the impromptu calling.
“Greetings, my Alpha.” The elders greeted with a bow.
“At ease. You may take your seats.” Killian replied to them.
“Thank you, my Alpha.” They chorused, and all sat down.
Killian flung his gaze across all the elders, registering the various looks of confusion on their faces.
After a while, Jared finally took the initiative to talk.
“My Alpha, why did you call this emergency meeting?” Jared asked, while Killian sighed.
“I am calling this meeting because of two things,” he replied almost immediately, as if he had been waiting for Jared to ask him the question.
“First, I want to crown Sara as my Luna.” He paused, while a hush of murmurs swept across the hall.
“Sara? As your Luna? How can we make her our Luna when we don’t even know her origin.” Cerebrus asked immediately.
“The moon goddess has made her my Luna, wherever she is from shouldn’t be a barrier.” Killian responded in a finalized tone.
“The second reason why I called this meeting is the issue of rogue wolves in the pack,” he paused as he fixed his gaze on Jared, who was the head soldier, and responsible for the security of the pack.
“Today, Sara was kidnapped and was nearly murdered. Thankfully, I appeared at the scene and was able to save her from the brink of death.” Killian said firmly.
The elders faced each other and murmured indistinctly.
“Also, I must sound a great warning onto everyone. Someone placed a diamond stone on my Luna, which caused her great pain. Whoever hurts my Luna will be met by my fiery eyes.” He continued, his voice thundered through the whole hall.
Jared’s eyes blinked as he moved his sight away from Killian.
Killian clapped his hands, and the soldiers entered with the two men that had abducted Sara.
“These are the men that abducted my Luna, I bring them here for questioning.” He said, and sat properly in his seat.
“Who was it that instigated you into kidnapping my Luna?” Killian asked them.
The two men trembled in fear, but they remained quiet and ignored Killian’s question.
“Speak!” Killian roared, and the men shivered in agony.
“Please forgive us, we can’t spill the identity of our master.” The deep-voiced man said. His voice, though deep, reflected fear in it.
Killian smirked. He stood up from his chair and walked to them in a manner that terrified the men, even his smirk made the men shiver.
“You don’t want to say it? That’s fine. I have over a hundred ways to make you talk.” He said calmly.
“Guards.” He called and two guards walked in with long whips.
“Teach them how to talk.” He ordered, and the guards lashed them hard immediately.
The men wailed in agony while the whipping lasted.
“You still won’t talk? Who was the woman with you guys?” Killian asked them, and the men still kept mute, which infuriated Killian the more.
Meanwhile, Lydia had silently walked into the common room, she hid behind a huge screen which prevented others from seeing her.
Killian was angered by the men’s silence, he ordered the guards to bring him the legendary pill, known as “blood moon”
The men shivered. Blood moon was a cruel and agonizing pill, whoever ingests it will feel the pain of walking barefooted on a naked fire, feeling as if a thousand swords were piercing through his or her internal organs.
The pill was brought before him, and Killian ordered the men to ingest it.
Lydia, who was afraid that the men couldn’t hold on to the pain of the blood moon, and might spill the secret, decided to take extreme measures.
She smiled mischievously as she brought out two black stones, it was the life stones of the men. She also took out a black oil and poured it on the stones, after which she tightened her fists, in a bid to suffocate the men’s life stones which will eventually lead to their deaths.
As she pressed the stones tightly, the men screamed as they held their throats in pain, their eyes turned red and they rolled on the floor.
The elders were shocked. They need not to be told before they could realize what was happening.
Killian’s eyes fluttered as he watch the men groan in pain. He tried various means to keep the men alive but they all proved abortive, as the men breathe their last breath on earth.
“What?” All of the elders muttered, their eyes opened wide in disbelief.
Killian growled and became reddened with anger, his eyes breathed a fiery fire and he panted violently.
“Someone actually dared to murder right under my nose.” He screamed as the reality of the situation dawned on him.
