EVOLET
“We don’t have any more time,” I said, pacing about in my room.
The others watched, understanding how troubled my mind was over the situation we were facing.
They were also in the same mood.
Queen Chriselda’s second action has revealed how serious and desperate that woman is to ruin me.
The first was her strange decision at the arena with that man. The glare she gave since I refused to do what she wanted, and the weird aura I sensed from the stranger, proved the Luna’s mission to take me out.
Cadell also confirmed it. He immediately recognized the energy as something from the sorceress herself.
That means the Queen and that old witch coated the stranger with something to bring me down!
The more she keeps displaying her true form, the more I can feel a great danger lurking around.
But that won’t stop me from carrying out my mission
We need to act real fast before they try another crazy attack on us or even get a clue of our mission here.
“Allen or Chriselda? Who should we handle first?” Trent asked, rising to his feet. “I may have a plan for Allen, but not that woman.”
“Leave Chriselda to me. I have a plan that should work for her,” Cadell said, looking at me.
Seeing his gaze, I was sure whatever he has planned would eventually get the Luna. In fact, I was curious to hear from him. But Trent has made a move concerning Allen.
“What’s the plan?” I asked, as we all drew closer to him to hear his plan.
“You remember how we got both Allen and Fiona recorded in that room? We’ll have to repeat that again. This time, we need a clear evidence to pin the Alpha down,” Trent shared, pulling out the phone we used the other time.
“Wait, you mean that video of Fiona and… That was you guys?” Derby gasped, glancing at all of us.
I just remembered that she wasn’t aware at the time we pulled that stunt. She didn’t even know that Cadell and I left to record those two that night.
“Crap, that’s true,” Trent realized, looking right at a shocked Derby.
We thought she was going to get upset with us for keeping this away from her, but Derby isn’t like that.
“You guys are wild!” she exclaimed out, laughing at the incident.
“I have been telling the Goddess to bless whoever was responsible for that incident. Oh my goodness, you guys are really something!” She chuckled.
Her grin bloomed my heart. This is why we’re best friends. She is always in support even though she didn’t take part in the plan. And now… “We’re doing it again. This time we’ll make sure he’s unable to escape it.”
“That’s the spirit,” Cadell said with a smile, patting Derby on the head.
With Allen’s case set down, we decided to plan out our main target, who is Chriselda.
Cadell says he has something set for her. I’m curious to know what he has in store for the Luna.
“It’s going to be risky, but I have a feeling that it’ll work out if we do everything well,” he shared, running his hand on his back neck, with his eyes falling right at me.
He didn’t look away but kept staring straight into my eyes. That’s when I realized what this plan needed.
“You need me?” I asked.
“The whole of you, Eve. That’s why I said it’s going to be risky. But don’t worry…” He placed his hands on my shoulder and assured with a smile, “I’m going to be there to make sure nothing happens to you. You have my word.”
“I trust you, Cadell,” I nodded, pulling myself into his arms for an embrace.
No matter the level of risk we have to take, we are ready for it.
.
Towards that evening, I was moving around the mansion, lost in my thoughts when a few damsels spotted me passing by, and came over to speak with me.
They were still talking about the Luna’s unjust action towards me and felt I was brave for standing my ground.
“From all what we’ve seen, we can tell that the Queen doesn’t want you here, despite the fact that you portray more talent and attributes of a Luna.”
“Yeah, It’s really crazy. Isn’t that what she said she wants to see in Wolf Fall’s future Queen? Honestly, I don’t feel comfortable here anymore.”
“I think I’ll leave in the next game. Maybe pretend to lose to my opponent. I don’t feel like playing this game anymore. What if the Luna starts attacking me when I get strong?”
The girls expressed their feeling, having second thoughts about the hunt.
When they asked me my plan after what happened, I simply told them I had no idea. “Seems I’ll have to wait till I see the end of this.”
“Oh heavens, you poor thing.”
“What if the Luna arrests you this time around?”
“I think it’s best if you leave, Eve. Queen Chriselda won’t let you be.”
They stared, feeling sorry for me.
At least I could see how concerned they were for me. Not just that, they are beginning to see their Queen’s true colors and feel unsafe in her home.
“Thanks for your concern, girls. It means a lot,” I appreciated, planting a smile on their faces.
That’s when I asked, looking around, “Have you seen Derby?”
“Derby? I think she said she wants to get something from her room,” one answered, looking into the direction which I believe Derby took.
Thanking them one more time, I took that path, looking for my friend.
On walking pass the room where I once saw Beta Dean wheeling himself into… “Get your hands off me!” I heard a familiar voice sparking out at someone.
And that voice was Derby’s!
It was coming from that same room!
Drawing closer, I found the door slightly open. When I took a look, I was stunned to see Alpha Allen blocking Derby’s way with his arms, and making an advance towards her!
“Why are you being stubborn? I only want us to be friends,” Allen said, drawing closer to my friend.
And Derby, out of disgust, pushed the Alpha out of her way with force, running towards the door.
“Get back here!” He sparked, coming after her.
Quickly, I opened the door wide and made my presence known, startling the Alpha at once. He came to a halt, watching Derby rush behind me for safety.
I glared at this pervert, protecting my friend from him.
“Are you okay, D?” I asked, glancing at Allen.
“Yeah. I’m just happy that you’re here.” She held me close.
Allen couldn’t say a word. He just stood there, staring right at me in shock.
He wasn’t expecting me to show up.
“Derby leave. You need to go and stay with the pets. I’ll handle this.”
“Okay,” Derby said, running off at once.
Once we were alone, Allen smiled and said, pointing at the door, “That your friend is something. Can you believe that she tried to seduce me into making out with her? Goddess!”
I squinted my eyes at this liar, who swayed his head, accusing Derby of something which he initiated himself.
“I wanted to give her a piece of my mind, but you showed up and she began acting innocent.”
“Are you done with your nonsense?” I questioned Allen.
The Alpha gazed at me and gave out a chuckle. He ran his hand across his chin and said, “Evolet, you’re calling this nonsense? I told you what your friend was trying to do and you call it…”
“Let me pass this warning to you, Allen,” I interrupted him at once, since I had no time for his rubbish. “If you ever lay your pervy hands on my friend, I swear you’ll hate me. I will be your worst nightmare.”
“What?” He chortled. “Are you threatening me? You are posing a threat on the Alpha of Wolf Fall?”
“If that’s how you see it, then fine.” I tilted my head, snapping my fingers at him. “I won’t repeat myself, Allen. I will make you eat the dust if you mess with my friend. She is nothing like your doll, Fiona.”
The moment I mentioned his sweetheart’s name, Allen’s smile vanished. He became mad.
“Don’t act so shocked, Alpha. You know exactly what I’m talking about. Your secret intimacies with Fiona… I know about it.”
He scoffed, denying at once, “But you heard it yourself that she was the one who seduced me. Why don’t you want to believe the truth?”
“Because you’re a liar. Fiona may have flaunt herself for you, but you are the one who kept chasing and ramming into her body. I saw it that night, Allen. So, don’t think I’m stupid,” I revealed, showing no fear.
When Allen heard this, he didn’t look surprise. In fact, he gave the reaction a guilty asshole with no remorse would display.
He smirked at me and said, “I was waiting for the time you’ll open up, Eve. I know about that night.”
Oh, so he knows I was watching? Disgusting animal.
“True, Fiona and I were making out. We were having a lot of fun, but I realized it was time for me to end that habit and start my home. And this is where you come in, Evolet. You, my true Luna.”
He made an attempt to touch me, but I smacked his hand off, making Allen laugh once more.
“Why do you keep playing hard to get? If you really don’t want me then why did you agree to my mother’s request? Why didn’t you say no an stay back with your boyfriend?”
“My presence in this mansion is just to hide your mother’s deeds from the public. The Queen came begging after kicking me out for no reason. She just wants to escape the people’s attack. She is the Luna and can’t share such an embarrassing topic with an outsider like myself. I did not come here for you, nor will I make the mistake of becoming the Luna to an animal like yourself.”
That statement made him annoyed. He ran his hand on his face one more time, pacing a bit in his spot. He gave out his insane smile and said, “Fine, the Queen is only using you, but it doesn’t change the fact that I love you more than any other damsel. You belong to me, Eve. Why won’t you accept this?”
“Your last warning, Allen,” I snubbed his question, pointing at him. “If you come anywhere near my friend, I will forget your status as the Alpha and put you in your place. You have been warned.”
“Don’t threaten me in my own land, Eve.” He flashed his wolf eyes at me, gradually losing his cool.
“There’s a reason why I’m the Alpha, Girl. If you don’t want me to show you then you better swallow that pride. I will not allow you to test my patience any longer.”
“Funny,” I scoffed, giving no damn about the way he growled or shimmered his bloody eyeballs.
“If you don’t want me to do the same, then you better do what is right and keep your ass out of our way.” I smirked, exiting the room.
I didn’t look back because I had nothing to worry about. Allen wasn’t coming. His scent was nowhere near me.
The asshole must be rampaging over my threats, looking for a way to get back at me.
Well, let’s see how he does that after his truth is being exposed to the open.
Walking into the corridor that leads to my room, Derby walked out from the pathway at my left, looking pleased.
“So?” she asked, lifting her brow.
I smirked and said, approaching my room, “Only one way to find out.”
Stepping into the room and shutting the door close, the room immediately went dark.
We turned around and found Cadell sitting on the bed, smiling at us.
That’s when Trent, who came out from the corner, pulled out his phone and said, showing us Cadell’s impressive work, “Grandpa got the work done.”
The video was perfect!
Cadell took every shot of Allen from when he dragged Derby to that room, to the time I left him with a threat.
“This is really good!” Derby shrieked excitedly.
She couldn’t wait to ruin Allen once and for all. But we were far from done.
“Just a few more and we’re good to go,” I said, not wanting this video to be about Derby and I alone. We need more girls in this.
“That won’t be an issue with a pervert like that man. We’ll gather enough proof before the day runs out,” Cadell said with confidence, winking at me.
I smiled, looking away to subdue the feeling rising in my heart.
We have to be quick before anything happens. The whole people need to know the truth about their Queen and Alpha.
No more time to waste.
