After Lucas’ phone call with Dylan, he also rushed out of the warehouse, rushing up to meet with his boss.
“Lucas! Call the New York road transport bureau. Clear the road to the hospital, and get her there immediately.” Make sure all obstructions are cleared. Don’t waste a second.” Raymond’s hurried voice sounded.
Lucas didn’t waste time driving the car over. Raymond carried the unconscious Lina into the car.
Lucas started the engine, speeding off towards the hospital. He put on his headphones to make a phone call, while the car sped off the road. Raymond sat beside Lina, holding her hand, his eyes fixed on her pale face that was resting on his lap.
“Stay with me, Lina,” he whispered as he continued patting her cheeks, his voice trembling with fear. “Please, don’t leave me. You are not allowed to die, never.”
Lucas glanced in the rearview mirror, his expression grim. He hadn’t seen his boss lose control like this before. Raymond was a cold and unfeeling man. Who knew he would also have a weakness. He realizes earlier that Lina was his boss’ bottom line. Thinking about this, he couldn’t help shivering on behalf of those two bastards that almost killed Lina. They are in for it.
Raymond’s eyes looked so lifeless as it gazed at Lina’s pale own. Lucas looked at them from the rear view mirror. He had never seen such a look on his boss before. He wanted to say something to comfort him, but looking at those lifeless eyes, he couldn’t utter a word.
Lucas stepped on the gas harder. Fortunately, the road was cleared some minutes ago. He drove ahead at almost a racing speed. He drove so fast that the wheels screeched from time to time.
They arrived at the hospital twenty minutes after. Considering the distance of the abandoned warehouse to the hospital, that was almost a speed.
Dylan and his team of doctors and nurses were already waiting outside the hospital entrance. They quickly rushed towards the car, opening the door to retrieve Lina.
Raymond gently handed her over, his eyes fixed on her pale face. “Be careful with her,” he warned, his voice low and menacing.
Dylan nodded, his expression grim. “We’ll do everything we can, Raymond.” Dylan didn’t expect this is how he would meet his sister in-law he wanted to meet badly.
As the medical team rushed Lina away, Raymond followed them, his face etched with worry. Lucas also followed. Lina was sent to the emergency room immediately. Raymond stood outside, his eyes locked on the red light on the door of the emergency room.
Raymond’s eyes remained fixed on the emergency room door, his mind racing with thoughts of Lina’s condition. He felt helpless, unable to do anything but wait.
“Sir,” Lucas walked over. “Dylan is the best surgeon in the whole New York, and he is there with madam. I believe with his expertise, nothing would go wrong.” Lucas said comfortingly. Raymond didn’t reply. He just stood there, staring at the immergency room.
While Raymond and Lucas waited for the medical team to finish their work on Lina, at the warehouse, jayden men had already captured Mr Vic and his partner.
At the warehouse
As Raymond and Lucas rushed out, Mr. Vic also wanted to escape. But the furious Jayden took the same rod he used on Lina earlier to strike him, making him fall flat on the floor groaning in pain. “Where the fuck did you think you are running to?” Jayden growled, his eyes blazing with fury as he stood over Mr. Vic’s writhing form. “You think you can hurt an innocent woman and just walk away? You’re going to pay for what you’ve done.”
Nicholas, who had been watching the scene unfold, stepped forward, his face twisted in disgust. “You’re a monster,” he spat, kicking Mr. Vic in the stomach. “You deserve to be cut into pieces.”
Mr. Vic groaned in pain, clutching his stomach in agony. “Please… stop…” he begged, but Jayden and Nicholas were unforgiving.
Earlier when Raymond and his team burst into the crime scene, Mr Vic and his partner were so shocked that they almost wetted themselves. Who doesn’t know the powerful men that just entered, in the whole New York.
If he had known Lina was telling the truth earlier, he would have spared her. Now, all he needs to wait for is death, no turning back. He is finished this time. He gritted his teeth, swearing for Mira in his heart. If he can escape this, he would make sure that bitch experiences all he would go through in these people’s hands.
“Guys,” Jayden called as he clapped his hands. His subordinates rushed in. “Take them away, and make sure you get out all the confession I wanted on this matter. “Yes boss.” They all echoed as they rushed towards Mr Vic and his partner, dragging them out of the warehouse.
Ria, who was still crying kneeling on the floor, doesn’t even have any strength left. Jayden rushed to her. He picked her up in his arms rushing towards his car. Nicholas followed behind them.
Ria, who was almost on the verge of collapsing before they found Lina, couldn’t take it anymore as she also fainted. Jayden and Nicholas rushed her to the same hospital Lina was taken to.
As they reached the hospital, Jayden processed Rihanna’s admission, while Nicholas went to find information on Lina’s operating room.
Nicholas rushed to the hospital’s information desk, his eyes scanning the area for any sign of Raymond or Lucas. When he finally spotted them, he hurried over, his face etched with concern.
“Any news on Lina’s condition?” he asked, his voice low and urgent.
Raymond stood there like a statue, not moving. Lucas turned to Nicholas. He sighed, seeing his boss’ condition. “She had been sent to the ER. Dylan is operating on her now. We’re waiting for news.” He answered Nicholas.
Nicholas walked up to Raymond, patting his shoulder. “Bro, sister in law would be fine. Dylan is there with her, nothing can go wrong.”
After his speech, the red light on the door of the ER turned from red to green. Raymond rushed forward as Dylan came out with his team. “How is she?” His hurried voice sounded impatient.
