As Mira entered the Sunshine Group’s office, employees’ heads turned, their faces filled with admiration and curiosity. Whispers spread like wildfire.
“Wow, she’s stunning.” An employee complimented.
“Look at that dress. She looks gorgeous in it.” Another employee also said
“The boss’s wife is certainly fashionable.” After getting their marriage certificate, the media got wind of it, and it was broadcasted on the news. So almost everyone knew Mira and Daniel were married after their shameless act was exposed online.
Mira’s confident stride commanded attention. Her fitted, red dress hugged her curves, its low neckline and high slit drawing gazes. Her heels clicked on the polished marble floor as she walked into the room, commanding attention from everyone present.
As she approached Daniel’s office, the clicking of her heels seemed to echo through the silence.
Daniel’s assistant, Emma, rushed to greet Mira, her eyes wide with awe. “Mrs. Frederick, you look incredible.”
Mira smiled graciously. “Thank you, Emma.”
As she approached Daniel’s office, the whispers intensified.
“Is she here for a meeting?”
“Nah, she’s here for him. Don’t you see how she dresses, does it look like she came for a meeting?”
Mira pushed open Daniel’s door, revealing him seated behind his desk, his expression stern.
“Mira, why are you here?” Daniel asked, his voice laced with disapproval.
Mira sashayed closer, her hips swaying. “Just thought I’d surprise you.”
Daniel’s gaze roamed her body, his expression softening. “You certainly did, but I’m busy right now. You know the meeting we are having with the Smith corporation is two days from now. Everyone is busy drafting out a good business plan. This is the only hope we have.”
Mira walked up to him. Taking the documents in his hand away, she sat on his lap. “Mira stop, I’m not in for this. After their marriage, Mira noticed the small changes in Daniel. He doesn’t seem to be obsessed with her like he once was.
And she guessed the reason might be related to that bitch of a sister of hers. They’ve all been looking for her since all this while, but they can’t find her. It’s like she had disappeared from the surface of the earth.
Instead of her stopping, Mira draws circles around Daniel’s chest, which makes his breathing hitch. “Mira, stop, he weakly said. Not wanting to hear his protest, Mira leaned over as she captured his lips with hers.
Daniel finally lost it. In one swift motion, he pulled Mira close, and claimed her lips in a passionate kiss.
Daniel’s fingers traced her neckline, slipping beneath the fabric to caress her skin. “This dress is too revealing.”
Mira’s smile teased. “Just the way you like it.” He groaned into their kiss hearing that. They haven’t make out for the past two weeks, and his body had been craving hers.
With a low growl, Daniel stood up and lifted Mira onto his desk, pushing aside papers and pens.
Their lips met again, tongues entwining as Daniel’s hands explored Mira’s body.
“Dan” Mira breathed, her voice husky.
He unzipped her dress, revealing her lace lingerie beneath.
“Oh, Mira,” Daniel groaned, his fingers tracing the lace.
Their passion ignited, consuming them.
Daniel’s hands grasped Mira’s hips, pulling her closer as he thrust into her.
Mira’s gasps filled the room, her fingers digging into Daniel’s shoulders.
Their bodies moved in perfect sync, desire building.
The desk creaked beneath them, papers scattering.
In a burst of ecstasy, they surrendered to their passion.
As they caught their breath, Daniel’s eyes locked onto Mira’s.
“I love you,” he whispered.
Mira’s smile softened. “I love you too.”
30 minutes later, everything died down. They cleaned themselves up, and arranged everything back in place.
Mira sits on Daniel’s lap still reminiscing on the good time they just had. “Any news on your sister’s whereabouts.” Daniel broke the silence.
Mira frowned hearing him mentioning her sister. “How could he spoil the romantic atmosphere,” she thought to herself.
Mira’s expression turned cold, her eyes narrowing. “No, nothing yet.”
Daniel’s gaze held hers, his expression serious. “We need to find her, Mira. Those properties must be taken away from her. Who knows what she is cooking up for revenge.”
Mira’s fingers drummed against Daniel’s chest, her mind racing. “I know. But she’s vanished into thin air.” Mom had sent someone to look for her, we still don’t know where she is. She had not even attended class for the last two months. I heard her final exams are starting next week. Mira ‘s eyes brightened up as crazy ideas cooked in her head. She will surely show up.”
Daniel’s jaw clenched. “I’ll increase the search efforts. We can’t let her threaten our business or our life’s.”
Mira’s lips curled into a sly smile. “Don’t worry, Daniel. I’ll handle my sister. You focus on the Smith corporation meeting.”
Daniel’s eyes searched hers, his expression softening. “You’re my priority, Mira. Always.”
Mira’s heart fluttered at his words. “And you’re mine, Daniel.”
Their lips brushed together in a gentle kiss, the tension between them dissipating.
Just then, Emma’s voice interrupted through the intercom. “Mr. Frederick, the meeting with the marketing team is in 15 minutes.”
Daniel sighed, his eyes still locked on Mira’s. “I’ll be right there.”
Mira slid off his lap, smoothing her dress. “I’ll leave you to it.”
Daniel stood, adjusting his tie. “I’ll walk you out.”
As they stepped into the hallway, whispers and gazes followed them. Mira’s confident stride and Daniel’s possessive hand on her back sent a clear message: they were a powerful couple, unafraid of scrutiny.

Raymond mansion.
Lina packed her book and some clothes. She planned to go back to her dorm for now. Her finals are next week, and she had to prepare for it. She had been lazing around since all this while. It’s time to be serious.
Checking one more time to make sure she isn’t forgetting anything, she zipped her suitcase. She doesn’t know what time it is. Opening her room curtains slightly, she saw that it’s already dark outside. Although Los Angeles city is well lit just looking like in the morning, she knew it’s late already.
“Hmm, how hungry I am.” She sighed tapping her stomach slightly. As if her stomach understood her question, it growled and answered her.
Not waiting anymore, she strode downstairs. She does not like using the elevator to the second floor. She preferred going down the fleeting stairs.
“Ma’am, your dinner is ready.” Butler Jenkins informed Lina as he saw her coming down the stairs. Lina nodded. Jenkins escorted her to the dinner dining room. As she sat down, she heard the sound of a vehicle honking.
Thinking about that rude and cold man, she knew he was back.
