“I’m sorry Rihanna, but there is nothing like the newest bride in town. I didn’t get married today.” She said as she started crying again. She thought her tears had dried up, but remembering how many people knew about their relationship, and also remembering Daniel’s betrayal shattered all her dreams about having a sweet and warm married home.
She never thought a day like this would come. Everything she has been doing since she was a child was all a success, but why is getting married to the man she loved so difficult.
Hearing her sobbing, Rihanna felt a pain in her chest. When she heard she didn’t get married, she thought she was pulling her legs, but hearing her sobbing made her know she was telling the truth.
“Linny, what happened? How could this be possible? We talked yesterday afternoon and you did not tell me anything about this, you sound so happy, what went wrong?”
Thinking about what could be happening for Lina not getting married to Daniel, she heard Lina said through the phone;
“I found out this morning that Daniel is cheating on me with Mira. Not only that, I also found out that he was with me because of my mum’s legacy she left for me.”
“They have been dating each other for a long time without my knowledge. How pathetic am I?” She said as she sob even more.
Rihanna has thought about what could be going on in these few seconds, but hearing what Lina said wasn’t within her expectations.
Daniel was someone she knew. And with the way he always pays attention to Lina even when he is busy, she didn’t expect something like this from him.
She couldn’t believe he would stoop so low to date Mira, that bitch. Rihanna doesn’t know why, but since she met that two faced girl (Mira), she didn’t like her one bit.
Hearing her narrate all what happened on the other end, Rihanna was so angry that her vein was protruding. You would think she is the one going through this pain instead of Lina.
How could she not be with her best friend now that she needs her most. The most painful thing is that she can’t even leave where she is due to the official assignment she is carrying on.
“How can that bitch be so shameless? I thought she had changed her shameless character of snatching your things. The most painful thing is that she even snatched your fiance. Is she sick in the head or something.”
Rihanna roared into the phone speaker as she choked on her voice due to short breath. She said all this in a go without even breathing. “Hope you are ok Lina?”
She didn’t forget to ask about her friend’s well-being, even though she is angry to the extent that if Mira is in front of her, she might tear her apart.
“I’m fine Rihanna, it’s just that the pain isn’t going away. I tried my best not to cry anymore because of these bastards but it’s not working.” Saying this with pain in her heart, Lina collapsed on her bed as she caught her breath.
“Ohh linny, I’m so sorry. Hope you aren’t trying anything stupid. Please don’t let those i***t get you, you heard me?”
Receiving no reply from her, she started panicking, she feared she might be trying to do something stupid to herself. After calming down, she heard her breathing through the phone.
Realising what was going on, she stopped panicking as her unsettled mind calmed down. Thank goodness she has fallen asleep. Who knows the stupid thing she would have done in desperation.
After some minutes, she hung up the call.
Not long after, she called someone to check up on Lina

Soft music could be heard playing in the background. People were dancing as some were drinking.
In one of the club’s private rooms, some men could be seen drinking quietly. None of them talk to each other. They were in the world of their own.
In the next two minutes, the door was opened as someone came in.
“Yo, why are you all drinking quietly as if you guys are mourning someone.”
Dylan, who was sitting at one corner, signals Nicholas to keep quiet. Seeing this, he shut up immediately.
Not knowing what was going on, he went to sit beside Dylan. Hitting him with his elbow, he asked. “What’s wrong, why is everyone so silent as if someone died?” He asked Dylan in a low voice that could be heard only between them.
“Shut up, don’t you see that king Yama is not happy. If you are not afraid of his wrath, keep talking nonsense.” Dylan said in a voice that could be heard between him and Nicolas.
In their group there is only one person called that. Even though they all interact like brothers, they respect each other and Raymond being the eldest among them, they always see him as an elder brother.
They always followed all that he said. Yes, that’s right, Raymond Walton is the king Yama Dylan was talking about.
He was sitting in a corner of the private room. Another man can also be seen sitting beside him.
